Description of Work: I am the president of a 16 unit condo association. We have used Brookland Plumbing many times and have always been super happy with their service. Raciel the owner is a master at figuring out problems, solving issues and being super personable/professional. | |For the most recent job, we had a small water leak in an unit. The owner had called two other plumbers who gave incorrect diagnostics. The owner contacted the board and we had Brookland out. They did a four floor diagnostic check and found the hairline crack/leak between the 3rd and 4th floor. They were systematic and were as minimally invasive as they could be. They consulted us on options for repair and provided their recommendation (which we took). | |Raciel and Brookland Plumbing are just terrific and I would happily recommend them for any plumbing job

Description of Work: When I called Brookland Plumbing (which I had used before also with great success), I told them that the toilet was running and that there was a leak from it to the ceiling below. Raphael (sp?) came (later than scheduled but the office called to let me know) and replaced everything in the toilet tank, cleaned it and the pipes, and reseated it. After he had finished that, I reminded him of the leak and he smiled and said that it was taken care of, and it was!!!

Description of Work: Brookland installed our gas stove. They were punctual, cleaned up after themselves and did the whole job in less than the time they had allotted.

Description of Work: They rerouted some pipes and did bathroom work. Overall, they are good solid workers and are not going to take you for a ride. There was no markup on materials and you just pay for labor. They were transparent about ecerything. I'm pleased with the results. Especially because they fixed something another plumber didn't get right and was costing me money all over again. You'll be satisfied and happy you called them. Good people.

Description of Work: Raciel successfully tackled a job that another plumber told me was not fixable. I have a large two-person jetted tub that the original plumber who installed it caused a leak by welding to close to the tub (only learned this much later, after it leaked into the kitchen below). The plumber hired to repair the leak informed me that I would need to replace the tub because it could not be fixed. He said the only way to stop the leak was to cut off and cap the pipes leading to the bathtub, which he did. That didn't make sense to me, but I had to stop the leak. I explained all this to Raciel. He examined the situation and said he thought he could fix it, but couldn't guarantee that he could fix it given what the other plumber had said. Raciel said if he did the work and it didn't solve the problem he would not charge me for the labor, only the service call to come out. That was a more than fair offer, which I accepted. Raciel and his father successfully repaired the bathtub. it turned out that the faucets were also leaking water into the tub and I had to order the replacement cartridges from Ghroe. Raciel returned once the parts arrived and fixed the faucet. Now, I can enjoy my jetted bathtub with out having to tear it out and replace it. To replace the jetted tub would have cost about $13,000. I would also add that Raciel and his father were a delight to work with; professional, considerate and friendly. Needless to say, Brookland Plumbing gets my highest recommendation and they are now the plumbers I will always use!

Description of Work: Called multiple times and left messages, no response, had to go with another provider.

Description of Work: Requested service to repair a leak in basement ceiling water pipe but this provider was unavailable for the next two weeks. Recognizing the importance of timely service, Brookland encouraged me to seek another plumber and gave me useful information and questions to ask another provider to ensure quality repair and fair pricing. I could use their $135/hr fee as a benchmark and understood better the importance of copper vs. galvanized pipes. I would engage this provider for future plumbing work.
