Excellent. They returned calls within 24 hours. Flexible with scheduling. Arrive on time and very pleasant to work with. The second visit I had to reschedule a couple of times, but they worked with me on it. When I finally returned back to town, Brookland came the next day to repair my kitchen sink. Then when they saw the problems I was having caulking the bathtub, they just helped me out and did a beautiful job. I've already given Brookland's phone number to other friends.

The quality of the work was excellent. The communication process, from responding to my inquiry to keeping me updated on the appointment was in a word, superb. I will definitely contact Brookland for any future plumbing needs

As Raciel quickly discovered, the leak in the HW heater was really coming from a different source-the AC unit above my condo. Instead of a more expensive job which they could have called for, they worked painstakingly to a cheaper and effective workaround-running pipe into a different drain without damaging a thing. Impressive and we have used them again since. Great detective work, great follow through.

We had some miscommunication in the beginning, but they persevered and finally got a hold of us, because we had phone troubles. I appreciated that. The plumber was very efficient and it has been working fine ever since. If I need another plumber it will be them.

The company's response for scheduling the job was prompt, professional, and thorough. The owner's wife assists with managing the business, and she is a joy to work with. Brookland Plumbing arrived on time and assessed the problems in a timely fashion. I had to have a toilet reset and the water heater pilot had to be lit. The work was done rather quickly and I was impressed with the neatness of the plumbing professionals. My only complaint is that they included in my hourly rate the time it took them to go to the hardware store to purchase a part needed. The fee I paid to have the toilet set, the water shut-off valve replaced was for two hours. Both gentlemen where kind and professional. I would consider using them in the future, but I would be sure to get an estimate first. For this work, I was pressed for time to get it done. And I did not question the bill because I was glad to have the toilet properly installed. They were redoing someone else's work, and they both were very personable.

Raciel quickly diagnosed the problem and started the water heater. He also examined the heater and suggested servicing another portion of the heater. He told me that it doesn't have to be done immediately but should be done eventually. I appreciate that he told me that the problem wasn't imminent. A less reputable plumber may have told me that I have to have the work done immediately and I wouldn't have known the difference. Raciel's was a little late and didn't call to tell me that he would be late, but his wife/office manager warned me in advance that this might happen. It wasn't a big inconvenience. Also, Raciel has a $125 minimum. This seems reasonable and I was told in advance about the minimum. However, it still stings given that he only needed ten minutes to complete the work and evaluate the water heater. Finally, I was also interested in getting a drain snaked and Raciel's snake had been stolen and therefore he wasn't able to do the work. Again, however, I was warned in advance that this was the case.

We had a great experience with them. They performed the job as promised and everything went fine. We couldn't be happier.

I found them on Angie s List. They came out a couple days after we called. They were great. They were very nice and efficient. They only charged me for a one hour service call. I felt like they were very honest, they didn t try to tell me I needed work done that I didn t really need done. I feel like their price was fair, but I don t know what other plumbers in DC are charging.

I asked Raciel for a second opinion on my 1964 vintage toilet, which another plumber had suggested I replace. When I spoke with Raciel, prior to his examining my toilet, he recommended I have a new Kohler toilet on hand, just in case I needed a new toilet. Raciel fixed my toilet for $218. No more leaking toilet!

They have not finished the work yet but they are very professional. They have been on time every day and they do very high quality work. I would recommend them.

After waiting weeks for this guy, he comes in, scratches his head for a while (did I mention I was paying by the hour?) and then said he could start but couldn't finish in the one day he'd scheduled for me, and couldn't come back for several more weeks. I said he could pencil in the appointment, but that I was going to look to see if someone else could do it quicker. So then the guy up and quits. At 10 in the morning. He did nothing, didn't attempt to do anything, just left me hanging, after I had already waited on him. The scope of work had not changed one bit, he just decided not to do it. He also was giving me bad advice, telling me to keep pipes that -- as I was looking at them -- were leaking water and had holes in them that I could (and did) stick my fingers through. When someone hires you for a full re-pipe, count on REPLACING THE PIPES, not trying to talk them out of it. I also think that the $500 I paid for him to cap the pipes was too much, and I think that charging me by the hour instead of setting a fixed price for the job was a scam.

Ilene from Brookland Plumbing called and talked me through finding the emergency switch. I was able to turn it on, and the garbage disposal was back and working with a roar. Ilene could have scheduled me for a service call and Brookland Plumbing would have been all the wealthier, but instead she took a kind-hearted approach and helped me as a courtesy. I thought this was noble and endearing. For reasons of integrity and helpfulness, I would recommend Brookland Plumbing to others.

It was pretty straight forward. I utilized Angie's List to look for a good price for a water heater, and they came out on time. The job was done very well and they cleaned up and there were no problems.

While installing dishwasher, I had to turn off water at the main water valve. The valve was quite old and broke upon closing it. I called Brookland Plumbing after finding them on Angie's List at 5:45 p.m. I did not think that I would get any work done that day but hoped for the next. He went out of his way to show up that night, fix it and leave before 7:30. Unbelievable! Thanks for Angie's List and Brookland plumbing.

The 2-man crew showed up exactly on time and completed the job in the estimated 2 hours, including the unexpected installation of the new drain which required a quick trip to the neighborhood hardware store. They did excellent work,had a very pleasant attitude, and were professional in every way.

Everything went very well. They actually showed up a little early. They were very courteous, and we are very pleased with the work. We would definitely use them again in the future.

It went great. Raciel and his apprentice made lemons out of lemonade on a piping issue where the previous contractor tried to cut corners.

We called them on a Friday morning and he was booked up and he came on Saturday morning, when our stove was being delivered. We did not have the right parts so he went to the hardware store to get them for us. He was quick, professional and we got more than we paid for.

A pleasure from start to finish. With no prompting Raciel even knocked a few minutes off the job to keep cost under an hour. Replaced faulty device and carefully explained operating and winterizing issues. Would definitely call again.

The work on the kitchen faucet took some time as the fixture was extremely old - they essentially had to hack it out. The work was done very professionally and as quickly as could be expected given the circumstances. The original appointment was postponed until the next day because of a job they had which took longer than expected, but I was kept informed about the delay and a new time was set up for the next day with consideration for my own time schedule. They arrived promptly and after the job was finished, the clean up was thorough. All and all it was a stress free experience; they were very personable and cheerful. I was very satisfied.

Service was great. Raciel (I am sure I am spelling his name wrong) was great and his wife, Eileen, who set up the appointment is very responsive and a pleasure to work with. I initially called on a Monday and set up and appointment for a Wednesday, but they had an emergency and could not make it out to my house. Eileen called me several times to keep me in the loop about what was going on. They offered to come on a Saturday (even though Raciel does not work on that day). Since the work was not an emergency and my time is a bit flexible these days, I insisted that they come the following week instead of Saturday. They came on time on the agreed upon day and finished the job which turned out to be far more than I had initially told Raciel on the phone. He ended up staying the whole day to get the work done. In the end, the job was done correctly and neatly. His assistant was also very good and professional.

It was very efficient and organized. They showed up when they were supposed to and did the work.

Good. The company canceled our first appointment, which was annoying but showed up promptly the next day to get the job done. Very simple project, work looks good.
