I called to inquire about servicing a clogged kitchen sink and was told they had an appointment available in FOUR DAYS. Sure, I'll wait around for four days with a kitchen sink full of waste-water, no problem. Are you kidding me? I will obviously never call these geniuses again.

From initial request to setting up the appointment to the job getting done, the whole experience was great. The work was carefully done, thorough, quick and it was quality all the way. Cleaned up at the end. Even gave me some great advice on a larger job I had been contemplating for years. I am calling Brookland Plumbing to do it.

I called, left a message and they called me quickly - within 30 minutes or so. We scheduled an appointment. She was very thorough with the pricing and what I could expect. The appointment was set for 1:00 pm. If he was going to be late, they would call. His previous job lasted longer and they did call to advise he would be here in 30 minutes. I really appreciated the phone call. The flange on the toilet was broken and was leaking from the second floor bathroom to the first floor. It turns out there were two problems. He first fixed a seal that was installed improperly (was upside down) and was causing one leak. The bigger issue though, was the flange. He took off the toilet, fixed it and securely adhered the toilet and then put in a better caulk job than what was there before. He wasn't able to take my credit card as the connection was pretty slow. Before he left, he gave me the receipt and advised that an individual fro the office called within 15 minutes. She did. I was very happy with the work and will call them with any future plumbing issues.

I called Brookland Plumbing at 9am and they had a plumber to my house by 10am. They were very quick and polite. The only issue was that it took awhile for me to receive an invoice from them. Very quick and professional. I recommend them highly.

I had purchased a new faucet for my kitchen sink. I was unable (or didn't have the tools) to get under the sink to do it myself, so I contacted Brookland Plumbing. They were able to quickly provide me a convenient date for service. They called me about an hour before to say they were running late due to an emergency at another client. Not a big deal, as I was already off from work, but I might have been a little annoyed if I hadn't taken the time. They were an hour late, as they said in the call, so I didn't mind. Faucet was installed within about 20 minutes. The plumber did a nice job, however i think the hole in the granite is a bit too large. The faucet still pivots a little bit when I turn it. It's not supposed to do that. I don't know if there's anything that could have been done. I may need to consult the plumbers again. All in all, it was a good experience. I'm a little disappointed that the plumber told me there's nothing that can be done about the slight looseness to the faucet. But I would use brookland plumbing again. They're in my neighborhood and were there when I needed them.

Scheduling the appointment was easy. The lady on the phone was friendly and helpful. She suggested that I purchase the valve in advance to avoid being charged for travel time. One day before the appointment they called me to confirm. At the time of the appointment Luis came on time. He inspected the valve and took the time to find the problem part. He did not simply suggest replacing the whole unit, because it was going to require cutting the drywall. Luis was able to find the problem and fixed it in no time. The company takes care of their clients and is very fair. They put the customer first. Luis is very professional. I have used him in the past, he consistently provides great service. I will use Brookland Plumbing again and will recommend them strongly to friends and family.

When calling to set appointments, I was greeted by a very friendly young woman who took my information and promptly got me an appointment within 2 or 3 days. On the day of the appointment, they called me at the beginning of my appointment window to confirm and give an estimated time before Luis would show up. The times quoted on both occasions were accurate and prompt (no waiting around for 2 1/2 hours of a 3 hour appointment window). When Luis arrived, he was very professional, explaining all the company payment policies, and getting directly to work. He worked quickly, and replaced the needed parts. On the first trip he made to my home, I had requested 4 separate smallish jobs to be completed, and he was able to get all the needed work done, and the consultation for a piping upgrade ( I have very old cast iron piping in my house). The second trip, he was able to complete the two small jobs in under an hour. I was impressed with his speed and diligence in working to complete my projects. He also advised me as to the most cost-effective way to obtain parts for a unique fixture for which he did not have a part in stock. He did not attempt to over-sell me unnecessary or overpriced parts, and since the company charges for labor by the hour, there was no confusion as to the labor costs for the jobs. I intend to call Brookland for any future plumbing repair needs, as well as for the upgrade I am planning for later this year.

I contacted Brookland Plumbing based on their rating in Angie's List. The telephone receptionist was exceptionally polite and worked with me to schedule a convenient time for the work to be done. When an earlier appointment became available, the receptionist called and said the plumber was available and wanted to know if I would accept the earlier appointment. I agreed and he was on-site in less than 30 minutes. He located the leak and repaired it quickly and efficiently with a minimal disruption to our home.

These guys are great! On time, friendly, helpful efficient are all terms that fit them. They showed up on time. There office help is very helpful as well.

When I called to make the appointment, the scheduler, Silvina, was extremely professional and strongly recommended that we purchase a faucet beforehand in case our old one could not be repaired. She explained that they charged $135 per hour, and that although the plumber would do his best to fix the old faucet, he would have to go and buy a new one if the old one was past repair, and would have to charge us for that time. She even suggested that we take a picture of the faucet with us to the hardware store, which was a very good recommendation. Silvina called the day before the appointment as a reminder, and on the day of the appointment called to warn us that the plumber would be 10-15 minutes late. Luis, the plumber, was very thorough, answered all our questions, and indicated potential problems (without going into a pushy sale pitch). We were very pleased with the upfront pricing, Silvina's attention and Luis' service, and would definitely call Brookland again.

Brookland Plumbing was great from finish to start. Scheduling appointment times was easy and Raciel was very helpful and clear about my options and how much each would cost. The staff is clearly used to dealing with old houses and apartments and they fixed a problem with my shower that another plumber said could only be fixed by tearing out tiling and replacing pipes.

I have used them quite a few times. I have been very happy with them. They are a small family-operation and it is owner-operated. They are very responsive. They have always shown up on time. They are very polite. The owner is easy to reach. The wife of the owner is the business manager who makes the appointments. They have stable staff so I always know the person who comes out. They remember the work they have done in the past. They have always worked quickly. They do not charge unnecessarily; they do not try to get you to do things you do not need to do. I asked them to look at a toilet that was running constantly and assumed that something was broken with it, but they just reached in and just found the obstruction and removed that. They did not charge me for this. They are honest, quick, punctual and polite. I like them.

They were very courteous, nice and honest. They show up on time. They saved me money and time. The office staff is extremely friendly. They return phone calls immediately which is really helpful.

Called and left a message on a Sunday, got a call back first thing Monday and they were able to fit us in between two nearby clients on the same day, so it was fixed less than 24 hours after calling. I have used Raciel's company many times for various plumbing jobs and always found him honest, fairly priced and professional. His work is great and we have never had any further issues with things he has fixed in the past. His company doesn't work in Bethesda anymore, but because I was a previous client, he came out (we're only 5 minutes outside the District line). Can not recommend him more highly - best plumbing company I have ever worked with (and I've tried a number of the years).

We had a leaking toilet tank in our full bathroom. I purchased a tank-connecting kit and took care of that problem. After opening and closing the shut-off valve a number of times, a small leak in the valve was noticed. It was a week before Christmas, and we were really hoping to get this taken care of before the holiday. We called Brookland Plumbing, and they were able to schedule something before then end of the week. The shut-off valve was replaced. He checked my work on the tank and gave it a thumbs-up. Lastly, he checked and replaced the flapper in the powder room toilet. This was our second time working with Brookland Plumbing. Again, the customer service was great.

We had just purchased our house, and we had a number of minor issues from the home inspection to address. Also, we wanted to convert the extra powder room to a storage closet. We called Brookland Plumbing, and we were able to schedule a visit for the following week. A team of three guys arrived on time and got to work right away. They started with the kitchen garbage disposal and the removal of the toilet & vanity/sink from the first floor powder room. They hit some roadblocks with the disposal because the old one was GLUED into to sink. With great care they were able to pry it out without damaging the sink. Once that was taken care of, the new one went in with ease. There was a problem with the electrical connection, which turned out to be a broken wire. They did their best, but they knew their limits (which I value over brute force) and suggested calling an electrician to troubleshoot and repair the electrical connection. The toilet and sink/vanity removal was efficiently done. In the other powder room, they repaired the shut-off valves that needed repair and replaced the flush valve in the toilet. Lastly, they took out the old pink toilet from the full bathroom and replaced it with the toilet from the first floor powder room. A week later we notice a very minor drip coming from one of the capped off shut-off valves in first floor powder room. They responded almost immediately and took care of it - great customer service! Overall, these guys were great. They were very personable and skilled. They worked at a reasonable pace and with great care to get the job done right.

My house has had poor water pressure since I moved in 8 months ago. I've had DC Water and 2 other plumbers come check it out. All determined that it was most likely galvanized piping connecting the public water system to my home (I updated all the plumbing inside the home). Brookland checked everything -- crawled under the house, inspected visible pipes, etc and could not find anything that would cause the poor pressure. Finally, before they left, they checked the pressure at the water meter -- they detached the meter from the pipe running to my house and turned on the water. There was just a trickle -- the problem lies in the public water system, not in my home. Ultimately, Brookland saved me thousands because I was about to bite the bullet and replace the pipe beneath my home. Obviously, the water company should have found the problem to begin with, but I'm glad I called Brookland.

What a great experience! Professional, smart and courteous people on the phone and in person. The best part? The plumber was at my door fifteen minutes after I called for service. Just fantastic.

Fast, efficient, helpful, respectful, and knowledgeable. I will call them for any plumbing needs from now on!

They were half the price of everyone else. The job went well! They were very friendly.

We called Brookland Plumbing to schedule the work. When we called, Eileen (who handles a lot of the scheduling for Brookland Plumbing) advised us we could save some money by purchasing the necessary parts ourselves before Raciel (Brookland Plumbing's lead plumber) came to install everything. We attempted to do this, but unfortunately bought the wrong products. When Raciel arrived with his assistant, he recognized we had the wrong parts and had his assistant take us to buy the correct parts from a plumbing supply house. By allowing us to purchase the parts at cost, we recognized that Brookland Plumbing wasn't attempting to make a little extra--something we really appreciated. The removal of the worn out parts and the installation of the new parts went very smoothly. The job was completed in just a couple of hours. Another great job by Brookland Plumbing!

I had originally contacted Brookland about installing a tankless hot water heater. They replied that they don?t do those, mostly because of the complexity and the poor customer satisfaction with the existing technology. I was on the fence and decided to hold off. The next week I noticed the leaky gate valve, and I called Brookland back. They came out the next day and replaced it with a new ball valve. I wasn?t at home for the install, but my wife was impressed with their professionalism and service. I will definitely use them again.

I was happy with how quickly they responded. They came out right away, were very professional, and did a great job. I would highly recommend them.

I called Brookland Plumbing with a list of small plumbing fixes that I needed done, including installing a new flushing mechanism on a toilet and a new shower head. The woman I spoke to on the phone was friendly and informative and we set up an appointment for the next morning. The technician was delayed a little by traffic, but they called to let me know, so it wasn't a big deal. The technician was also great. He worked quickly, but made sure to explain things as he went, which as a new, first-time homeowner I really appreciated. He took measurements for my water heater and said that someone would call after they'd had a chance to reseach it. The same woman called me that evening to discuss my options for the water heater. Given my condo's small space for utility items, I need to be careful with what I get so that it will fit. At this point, Brookland does not install tankless water heaters, so I may not use them for the install, if that's what I decide to go with. But for any other plumbing needs, I'll definitely use them again.

I had a leak into a kitchen from an upstairst toilet that wasn't working properly ; i was able to shut the water off to the toilet to stop the dripping but had to get repair work done. Brookland plumbing returned my call right away and set up an appointment for a few days later. they fixed the toilet and had to bust through my kitchen ceiling to get to the pipe that was cracked. They changed the pipe and stopped the drip. They don't do plaster/drywall work, so i've had to get someone else to plaster up the hole in the kitchen ceiling, but as plumbers they were very professional and did their job. they charged $135/hr + parts, probably not the cheapest out there, but they were responsive which is what you want for plumbing.
