Best Movers of Washington DC Moving and Storage Co

Description of Work: Moved my son out of his dorm room and stored his items for approx. 6 weeks. Then moved his items into an apartment.

Description of Work: Best Movers were scheduled to move my daughter's household effects from Bowie to Glenn Dale, Maryland. The company was selected based on its estimate of $85 per hour with an estimated time of four to six hours to complete the project. The company promised to provide ten (10) free boxes, which were supposed to be delivered within 24-48 hours prior to the move. Additionally, the company promised to provide two large wardrobe boxes free of charge for use during the move. Unfortunately, the company did not provide any boxes, no wardrobe boxes and showed up with a tiny rental truck and stated that the move would cost $1,000, plus, because they had a small truck and would have to make multiple trips. The company was dismissed. The serious problems with this company created a delay in getting my daughter's household furnishings moved with the prescribed time-frame -- which resulted in a loss of time away from employment, as well as delays in the new owner taking possession of her property which had been sold and settled.
