Bed Bug Exterminator Washington DC

I called and received service December 6, the day I received confirmation that the bites I'd been getting were from bed bugs. The cost was almost $1,500. I thought it was high, but decided I didn't want to take any chances with bed bugs. The rep came out, told me I had to leave the house for a few hours while he applied the steam. I was not told in advance I would have to leave the premises, but was able to find temporary accommodation for me and my dog (too cold to stay out that long). The rep only found one bed bug and said it was a very low level infestation. Despite the treatment, I continued getting 2-3 bites a night, the same level as before. They had told me to wait at least a week as it sometimes takes a while. I called after 8 days and they came out to the house to do another treatment on December 14 (their warranty is for 30 days). All seemed well until I awoke a few days ago to find I was getting bitten again. I called but because I was 2 days over the warranty period, they would not come out again unless I paid another $500. I think it's abominable to charge that much for someone to come to your home and do nothing but use a commercial grade steamer and then not even get the desired results. I will not use this company again and strongly recommend against anyone else doing so. I will explore other options.
