Due to the full renovation needed on this home AND the fact that this was not our primary residence nor state, we were not really feeling very well about interviewing contractors. We got a few bids & were not optimistic. We decided on one more bid. When we met Shy & Alex we just got this feeling like ''Yes! This is it!''. They met us on time, answered our questions, & immediately put us at ease. You could sense something different. THEY CARED! They CARED ABOUT YOU, ABOUT WHAT YOU WANTED, and ABOUT HOW THEY COULD MAKE IT HAPPEN FOR YOU! Living a good 4 hours away from the actual home being renovated, Shy was consistently in contact with us. Their team was always at work when they were supposed to be, had full access and control of our property, & our complete trust. We can say nothing but positive things about this company. Cost-effectiveness was a must. Their CREW completed the job on time, using much of their own professional judgment & creativity to meet a goal that was a ''WOW''

I have nothing but RAVES about Alex and gang! Starting from very first contact, through estimate, work and follow-up they were very impressive. All workers were prompt, reliable, professional, cooperative, polite, and did work of excellent quality. They showed up on time and stayed until finished (they do 1 job at a time) and took short lunch breaks. They always told us exactly what they were doing and asked our preferences whenever in doubt, and were flexible in accommodating them. They were trustworthy and I felt no concerns about leaving them alone in the house. They cleaned up each day. They stayed within the budget, and only very minor additional costs arose, about which we were informed up-front. They finished the job early, in part by asking if they could work longer hours each day! And they added little touches we hadn't planned on (painted cabinet shelves, added bumpers and a door stop, installed a new threshold, etc.) -- all at no cost! I HIGHLY recommend ANT!!!

Shy kept me appraised daily of their plans. She picked up supplies, sometimes learning that a particular item was supposed to be in but was not. At completion, she brought me a beautiful orchid plant to say thank you for the business. As a former building contractor, I WAS IMPRESSED.

We have used this company before and they always come through with flying colors. My husband and I invested in this property with the intentions of selling it. When they started the house was a mess. The took all the drywall off, added insulation and rebuilt the house like it is brand new. They gave us details, such as a stone back splash in the kitchen and accent tile trim in the bath tile. We never even asked but we had told them to fix it up to sell. Alex renovated the house to do just that. We asked for carpet and he gave us Berber. All the finishes he picked out exceeded or matched our vision. They are laid back, honest and always available when we call. They told my husband it would take two months and they finished in six weeks. My husband was unhappy with the location of one partition wall which he mentioned to Roberto and the next day they relocated the wall without any fuss. We used them before and will continue to do so in the future.

It went very well really. We were given an estimate of three weeks for all the work to be done and the work was completed in three weeks and two days. That never happens, but it did this time, fabulous! There were a couple of bumps in the road; every "crisis" small and medium (we didn't have any big ones) was met with patience and creative problem solving. Very honest people.

Excellent workmanship! I can't praise them enough. I loved Shy, Alex, Javier, Arturro and Victor. The 4 day job turned out to be much more involved than expected. Everything was leaking. The toilet fell apart when they tried to repair it and the flange in the floor was completely missing. The new toilet had a smaller profile than the old one. When the old tank was removed it left a large hole in the wainscoting. Javier, Arturro and Victor used some old wood in the basement and matched the existing wainscotting so thoroughly that you can't tell there was ever any damage even on close examination. The fixtures on the kitchen sink were so rusted that a 10 minute job turned into 2 hours. Many thanks to Shy for her excellent taste in plumbing fixtures and Alex for building new wooden supports for the basement stairs even though that had not been part of the original job. They left my house much cleaner than they found it and I'll definitely use them for other projects.

Shy & Alex were very punctual, and got the work finished in less time than they had estimated. They are friendly, professional, and did truly excellent work. They are very responsive, frequently solicit feed back, and are willing to make changes. For instance, when we didn't like the placement of a few installed book shelves, they took the shelves down, spackled and re-painted, and moved the shelves to another location, without complaining a bit. Shy befriended our dog and our 21 month old daughter, who now asks for "Shy..accit[attic]" all the time.

The company surveyed the job, started at the exact start date requested, and finished before the contract stated. They were prompt, orderly, clean, and polite.

We had a great experience from start to finish. Our primary contact was Shy, and she communicated promptly by email or phone to our long list of concerns prior to starting the job. She and Alex came by within a couple of days from my first call to give us an estimate and then they started the job two weeks later. They completed it in three days, just as they estimated. Shy even took before and after photos for me to see what was actually done on the roof, as I don't like heights! They did an excellent job, including tidying up all the debris from the job and what had accumulated on the roof. I have rarely dealt with a company that has been this professional in their service and quality of work. I look forward to working with them again, as their primary business is home renovation.

The project description speaks for itself but it went wonderfully. We were worried about breaking into old brick but they did a beautiful job and finished in a timely fashion. They gave great attention to detail - like going to 3 different Home Depots to try to match the basic white tile we already had around the door and calling us from the store to express their concern that it might be a slightly different shade of white. They also suggested things we hadn't thought of, like adding sand to the paint on the step up to the door so it wouldn't be slippery.

Great. They made it look nicer than we imagined. They saved me the time of having to call in lots of different people to do different work - a painter, a plumber, an electrician, a contractor to install the cabinets, etc. It was done quickly and they cleaned up after themselves nicely. At first we were concerned that the backsplash looked a bit unfinished the way it was left, and they readily agreed to come back, extend the backsplash, and complete the work without any complaint or extra charge.

They did a great job. They did a beautiful job and handled unexpected issues with creativity and patience. They suggested that they lay the tile at an angle because it would look nicer, even though it would be more work for them at the same price. They were prompt, friendly, gave a fair price, and finished the project on time.

Ant Builders did an outstanding job. They were trustworthy, professional, neat, cared for my home as if it were there own, matched things as close as humanly possible and were concerned about detail. They were cost competitive as well. I would not only hire this company again, I am hoping to hire them again to redo my kitchen early next year.

Ant Builders was nothing but a delight to work with, having worked with many, many contractors. They came within a couple of days after I spoke with them, even though it wasn't a big job, they gave me a quick estimate and were ready to start pretty quickly. Shy, the estimator, gave me her frank opinion about what kind of wood to use and recommended a composite, which is what we chose. The work was excellent and the workers worked very hard. The porch looks beautiful and we've gotten many compliments. The team was meticulous and added some nice touches.

ANT Builders were responsive, courteous, conscientious, helpful and did quality work. I had numerous projects that needed to be addressed and they proved adept at handling all of them. I definitely plan on using them again.

Alex, Shy and crew were fabulous. They predicted the time it would take correctly, were very responsive to our requests and innnovative in their problem solving, which was very important in a row house bathroom, built in 1915. They were a pleasure to work with and the bathroom is great!

Excellent! These guys are great. They completed a pretty big job for me. I've had to call them back for a couple smaller jobs and they're willing to help, skilled and pleasant.

Exceptionally good. We've had a number of medium ($20K) to large ($250K) projects done on our current and past houses, Ant was the best. Very considerate. Will work late or on weekends to meet schedule. High quality workmanship and exceptionally good at communication, we are extremely picky. All for a very fair price. A small company, but capable of most renovation projects.

We were very pleased with the quality of workmanship from Alex and his crew. They were timely and most importantly clean during the month long project.

The work was done very promptly by very capable and pleasant workers. Ant Builders exceeded my expectations.

Alex said it would take two days and he was right on. He cleaned up the site and there was no sign of the work apart from our new roof. I have told told our friends about him and a few have used him and are happy too. He even had my husband check as the work was being done so we are sure of the quality.

We were very happy with the work Alex did for us. There were little touches that he had done like adding tile shelves in the shower which we had not thought about. There were no extras padded into the price. I liked the fact that they only do one large project at a time. My neighbors tried to hire him during our project, and he turned the work down. The work was done in the time promised, and the best part was we just hired him again to finish the basement.
