Found them while they were trimming limbs off of a neighbor's oak tree using a bucket truck. Asked them to come by an look at the tree in my front yard. As they finished really late, they came by the next morning to inspect the job. As I liked their offer and could start the work immediately I said yes. Jerry, the owner, did a really great job on all the dead branches including some that I could not spot.The crew of 3 did a really complete job of cleaning up all the debris. After Jerry finished I asked him to look at a row of old, ugly hemlocks which I was considering removing. We also looked at some raggedy hemlock trees growing in the same area. He provided an estimate on the spot for removal, wood chipping and stump grinding. And offered to do the work the same morning since they had the gear already on site. As the price he quoted was substantially less than another company I talked to (who did prior tree trimming work) I shook hands and asked him to start.When we returned 45 min later from a shopping run, we found all the hemlocks gone and most of them chipped. I watch Jerry do a precise job of dropping the trees without damaging nearby shrubbery. The driveway, where the chipper was, is spotless. The subcontractor, who does the stump grinding, was unavailable and was scheduled to come out the following day which he did around just before noon. 90 minutes later the stumps were ground out and the holes backfilled. Even got some advice on replacement trees.Neat, efficient, professional and not too costly, a great combination.
