The dumpster was delivered promptly. I had a lot of empty cardboard boxes accumulated over the years that I had stored in the loft of my shed; boxes from small appliances, computer equipment, TVs, etc. that I kept in case I had to return something. It was suggested that I could cut them up and put them out with the trash little by little, but that would be a lot of work. The Recycling Center told me I would have to collapse the boxes and their dumpster was already pretty full. The person I spoke to at CAN-IT gave me a price for delivery and pickup and told me that there was a fee per ton for dumping the contents. I figured that the empty boxes, some with styrofoam would not add up to one ton. So I was a little surprised when I received a bill for 2 tons. The total bill was $22 more than I had calculated from the information given me. I had covered the dumpster with a tarp after I filled it so the boxes wouldn't get wet and weigh more. When I called for pickup, they came the next day. This was the first time I had rented a dumpster. Although it was not a cheap way to solve the problem, I was satisfied with the results. I would recommend this company.

I called Mr Trash first and got a price of $300 per load. The guy never showed up. He called and canceled on me twice. I called several places about dumpsters and got similar prices, with varying times allowed. One place out of New Haven wanted $475 for one week on a 22 yard dumpster. CAN-IT allowed me three weeks for $477. I did go over my weight limit of 3 tons by .14 tons and paid another $14 after the pick-up. I had a lot of concrete in that dumpster, so I wasn't surprised that I was over the limit. The driver who dropped off the dumpster arrived right on time, in the morning and was very cooperative about placing it, right where I wanted it. The pickup was done in the afternoon and the driver ran a couple hours late from other jobs, but still made the pickup within a reasonable time frame. He checked my property for damage, but I expected to have some ruts in the grass from the heavy weight with the concrete.

WE CALLED THEM ON SATURDAY AND BY MONDAY THEY HAD THE DUMPSTER IN FRONT OF OUR HOME READY TO GO FOR US. WE FEEL THE PRICE TO RENT THE DUMPSTER WAS MORE THAN FAIR.
