BHI Tile

Billy arrived right on schedule and was very kind. The work done was done to perfection! We will definitely call on BHI again and have already referred BHI to several friends and family.

Billy was everything you would want in a contractor. He was punctual, professional and personable. He did a great job installing my backsplash. When he came to give us an estimate I could not be there so he met with my wife. She felt very comfortable with him. I have no reservations about recommending him.

Billy was very nice, but after the initial contact for estimates it took more than two months to nail down a date of service. For a tile "specialist" I was disappointed with the quality of his work. My only comparison is a family member who did tile work in my house -- this person is not a tile specialist and did a much better job. I expected more.

Billy was very flexible, punctual and did excellent work. He worked around our schedule and came early in the morning to give us an estimate to replace the grout in our shower. On the day scheduled he arrived right at the scheduled time. Did the work in less than 6 hours and did a beautiful job. He cleaned up when he was done. Would definitely have him take care of all of our tile/grout needs in the future.

Billy had given us the best price for the work that we needed done. He always got back to us when we called or emailed him. He was punctual, very friendly, and very knowledgeable. When we had questions about what to do for the baseboard trim he gave us suggestions and even picked up the tile pieces so we could see what it would look like. That ended up being what we were looking for but no one near us seemed to have that tile in stock. Billy did an excellent job all around and was very professional. We would definitely recommend him to others and we would definitely use him again.

I had this company replace the grout of my ceramic tiled shower. Excellent work! This was one of the best contractor experiences I've had in my 16+ years of owning a home. The work was done on time, the cleanup was impeccable, and the price was reasonable. I highly recommend!

Billy is the most pleasant contractor. He cleans up after himself. The work is beautiful. He took the time to explain everything to me before he began.This stone was quite expensive so I was nervious about the work. Billy had done previous work for me in my Bathroom. That also came out great. He is so easy to work with. At one point, I had changed my mind on the placement of the stone near my toaster. No problem. Wow! What a surprise. No complaining. He just did it. No problem. Work is excellent. He is on time. He calls you back and it has been such a pleasure working with someone who takes pride in his work. I will continue to call Billy with all my work. I have also recommended him to other friends who are having problems finding contractors who install tile.

Billy Henderson did an excellent job putting in our new backsplash and tub tile -it came out beautiful! Billy Henderson is a man who is passionate about his craft. He loves tile and you can see this every time he runs his hands over a surface. Billy pays attention to detail. It is evident he knows what he talking about and I completely trusted his opinions. Our 1950's tile restoration came out beautiful.

Billy re-grouted the bathtub/shower and vanity area in 2 bathrooms. He arrived on-time, was professional, clean and did a fantastic job! He is easy to speak with and is more than willing to answer any questions you might have. I highly recommend him,

It was a perfect contractor home owner transaction. Billy gave me a concise, comprehensible breakdown of the steps involved in repairing our grout. He is a personable, no nonsense person who diligently works from the moment he arrives until the job is done. I had a quote for less than half of what he charged but opted his more meticulous approach.

He was very responsive when I first placed a call to him. After I explained my needs, he clearly told me what he might be able to do to refresh my old bathroom without removing any tiles (which were in good condition). He came to my house at my convenience (after work) and showed me how he could make improvements to the condition of the stall. I made a commitment at that time and a date was chosen in the near future. I later called him and asked that he regrout the bathroom floor so it would match the stall and he agreed with a minor adjustment to the cost. He did an excellent job! My bathroom looks like new. He polished the tiles, the shower floor is completely back to its original color, the glass door is clear, and the bathroom floor looks like it did twenty years ago. The room was also spotless...no dust in sight. Billy was easy to work with and very professional. I would highly recommend his services.

Billy was prompt in returning my call to set up an appointment for an estimate. He arrived on time and gave me a very fair estimate. Each of the two days he worked at my house he arrived on time. I have never had a worker take his shoes off before. Billy was very considerate of my newly installed carpeting outside the bathroom and was very neat with everything he did. I would definitely recommend him for any related jobs. He is a very polite, nice young man who does wonderful work.

What I would like to commend Billy most on are both his knowledge about laying floor tiles and his honesty. He said I could spend $500 re-grouting the floor, but that it would not make a difference. The floor tiles were badly installed and would eventually come off the floor. He suggested that I just deal with the floor as is and then replace it later. I appreciated his honesty because he could have easily taken the job to make money without regard to the value of the job. So, thank you Billy. I can now accept that floor, move on, and hire you in a year or so when the floor starts coming up.

Overall, BHI did a good job in scoping and completing the project. There were several issues related to the original installation by a prior contractor that were addressed during the project. BHI kept to their word in getting the job done on time and Billy was a pleasure to work with. Subsequent to the work, an issue arose with the drain in the master bathroom. The issue was not related to the BHI work, but Billy offered to redo certain work if the floor / drain needed to be opened.

Billy is a wonderful young man to work with. He is very professional, punctual, and conscientious with his work. He explained everything that he planned to do at our first meeting in my home, prior to giving me his very reasonable estimate for the work. Even though the project became a bit more complicated than expected which required more work , Billy stuck to his estimate and completed the job on time and on budget. The original plan was to have Billy replace just a few cracked tiles in the shower and re-grout the whole shower, but my plumber suggested that as long as a few tiles were going to be removed around the faucet area anyway, it would be a good time to install a shower mixing unit instead of separate hot and cold faucets. Billy expertly removed a good section of the wall in order that the plumber could install new plumbing and the new shower mixing valve. Then Billy expertly replaced the shower wall in that area and retiled. Not a single person who has seen the shower has been able to tell where the new section of wall was installed. The plumber was even impressed with the tile job when he returned the following day. I have never seen the tile in the shower look as good as it does now. I am very pleased with the results.

Re-grouting went very well and looks great. New tiles were added to the edge of original tiled area and it was very well done. My only criticism is the application of the silicone sealer. The floor tile and the shelf tile are black and the sealer turned opaque white so it is too obvious. I eventually removed some of it.

Billy Henderson (BHI Tile) is an exceptional contractor. He did a fine installation and turned out to be one of the most honest and hard-working contractors we have ever hired. We had purchased tile in Hartford and Billy picked it up for us at no extra charge. A section of the floor was not level so he built it up beautifully. He worked outdoors cutting tile in the rain to get the job done on schedule. When he finished laying the tile, the baseboard was not as yet painted so he returned to put it in place and sealed the edges nicely. Outstanding clean-up. Billy has a strong work ethic and goes the extra mile to please his customers. Highly recommend him. Last year we hired another tile installer for a bathroom and were disappointed. Wish we had known about BHI Tile then.

Billy kept in touch and showed up when he said he would. He used materials suggested by the manufacturer of the glass tiles we chose. His installation work was very good and he cleaned up after himself. We would highly recommend Billy.

Extremely well Billy gave us and accurate quote and was very flexible in terms of timing and work completely on schedule. He was also very helpful in determining what type of tile would be best to use ect.

Billy responded promptly to my inquiry, and showed up for the estimate on time. I asked for him to regrout a shower area that i was having new doors made for, and to potentially retile a small section that the tiles had come up when i pulled the old door out. He gave me a quote for the regrout work, as well as the tile replacement and cutting work. He showed right on time at 8 am. he told me this would take one day and 1/2. kept me informed throughout the day on the work, and discussed options with me on tile replacement. Looking at where the tiles came up (along side a tub), he waterproofed under the tile prior to replacement and cut the tiles overnight for day 2 work. He set the tiles and grouted them all, including some holes where i pulled the shower doors off. What was very impressive about the work he did was how clean he was and he carried all of the trash away himself. The bathroom was spotless when he was done, and he put a line of caulk around the tub when he was finished as well. His caulk work was excellent. he finished on budget and on time!

My wife and I could not have been happier with the job Billy did. We were so happy with it, we plan on having him back in a few weeks to do the rest of the tiles in the bathroom cause the bathtub looks so good the rest of the bathroom pails in comparison. Billy was incredibly punctual and professional. We left him in our house all day on his own and had no problems with that. He was immensely clean. The bathroom looked cleaner than it did before when my wife cleaned it. He cleaned the sink and there was no dust anywhere. His prices are incredibly fair. Actually a lot lower than I anticipated. We look forward to having him back to do the rest of the bathroom. Thanks Billy!

Billy was very responsive, professional and easy to work with. He started the job on a Thursday, but had concerns with the area around our toilet and advised us to contact a plumber to ensure we did not have a leak after the tile was installed. This delayed the project and Billy was very accomodating and patient while he waited for us to get a plumber in to fix the problem. He worked over the weekend to ensure the project got completed in time (impacting his plans) and did not charge me for more costly quick dry grout or for the extra time the job took. I would highly recommend him if you are looking for a detail-oriented, professional and honest person to do the job right.
