Description of Work: Billy was very professional. Originally I requested he look at tiles in my entrance way that were cracked. I then asked him to clean and seal bathroom tiles, re-caulk the shower and replace a soap dish in another bathroom. I was very happy with the job he did and the manner he went about his work. He appeared very knowledgeable about tile and spent time with me to discuss future replacement of the cracked tile. I would not hesitate to have him back to do tile work.

Description of Work: Billy laid cement board and installed a porcelain tile floor in our kitchen. We couldn't be happier with our new floor. In addition, we had multiple problems leading up to the laying of the floor (found a leak and an asbestos floor under our sub floor when we demoed the existing tile) and Billy worked with us until we sorted through insurance, asbestos removal and laying a new sub floor. | |We liked Billy so much, and thought that his work was so good, that we will be having him install a new back splash in the kitchen, as well as complete all the tile work for the bathroom reno we have planned for the summer. Billy really knows his stuff, and I would trust him with some of the most expensive and delicate materials. We highly recommend him and his work.

Description of Work: I give this company a big fat F! After waiting almost a week for even a response, they stated they would set up an appointment, so far I'm waiting just for a confirmation OF an appointment. I won't be hiring anyone with such a crappy response record, I can only imagine how bad a re-tile job would go! So far Angies List is crap, hardly any contractors, no response from most of them, this site sucks.

+ 1 moreI caught Billy at BHI tile the day he got back from vacation jet lagged and he (thankfully) didnt have any jobs lined up yet. He showed up the day I called him to start the process, knowing my deadline. HE insisted on using the correct substrate for the floor (I tried to talk him out of it to lower the cost) and he decided he wouldn't even charge for the extra material, he wanted to stand by his craftsmanship. Mind you this is AFTER several other phone calls to contractors who had no problem slapping down tile on the old subfloor. (I have since found out that is a bad idea, thank you Billy for doing the right thing.) The next day he was on time, worked well into the night and I actually had to tell him to go get some rest and grout the next day. He finished the grout with plenty of time to dry and that weekend we were able to install the whole kitchen. The job looks flawless. MY father and I even played with the laser level pointing it at the floor and his lines were perfect. Overall hes a very focused and passionate guy who really seems to care about his work. He came in last minute, worked tirelessly, and knocked out a perfect job. All for an incredibly reasonable price. I'm not blowin smoke here, I just think service is truly lacking these days and BHI has it where it counts. PS I also found out he's an accomplished photographer, I think we are going to have some of his work hanging in our kitchen when its all finished!
Description of Work: I had a very narrow time frame to remodel the kitchen in my condo. I had all the appliances, cabinetry, and my father comning up for the weekend to get it all done right. I just didnt have anyone to tile. At the last minute I found BHI Tile. Billy swooped in fresh off of a long flight from alaska vacationing with his family, and knocked it out in two short days. Flawless work, beautiful grout lines, and a truly professional, caring attitude.

+ 1 moreBottom line: he did what he said he would do, for the amount quoted, in a punctual and professional manner. The job went very well. Billy was on time for the estimate and on time for the work he performed. He came by to give a free verbal estimate and charged a $75 deposit for a written estimate. He worked with me to coordinate a time to get the work done that would work for my tenant too. Billy was personable, trustworthy and conscientious. He cleaned up after himself and explained what we needed to do and why. For example, he mixed sealer into the grout so we won't need to seal it ourselves. He was on budget and I appreciated that his estimate had some wiggle room in it in case he discovered more damage as he went. I felt that he was an honest guy and that any additional costs would be justified. I would definitely use Billy again and would recommend him to my friends and neighbors.
