The most horrible experience ever. I have not met such team of people who are rude and unprofessional. Matt the measurer and estimator was rude from day one. The team which included Steve, Ken and Harry did a horrible job. First they installed one wall of cabinets not according to the design. So we complained to Home Depot about it. The next day when they arrived they all were very unfriendly. They didn't put anything to protect my floors. They didn't like when they were told to uninstall the cabinets and then reinstall them leaving holes in the cabinets. They didn't even leave much room around the fridge. Robert who was the lead crew project manager came in the evening and had an argument outside my garage with our electrician. They left my house WITHOUT FINISHING THE INSTALL WITH MESS ALL AROUND, which I had to clean. Nails sticking out from the back of the fridge frame. They had to cut the soft fit to cover up the drain pipe and cut the cabinet which we paid $400 extra to do the job. Its unfinished with popcorn finish taken out on one side. They DENIED TO FINISH IT. They cut the ceiling to make the hood vent outside. They covered the ceiling with drywall but DID NOT SEAL THE HOLE WITH TAPE AND FINISH IT. They just covered it with the cabinet. I wish I could post some photos and show the mess they made. I have complained to Home Depot and now wish they can resolve this issue. DO NOT USE SENTERLINE. THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL AND LOUSY. HOME DEPOT SHOULD STOP GIVING THEM JOBS AS THEY DO NOT CARE FOR CUSTOMERS.
Description of Work: Senterline is the main installers for Home Depot in CT & MA area. We hired them to install our cabinets and install the hood to vent outside.

The owner never returned phone calls the only one who would get back to us was the estimator Tracy, she tried her best. The owner never even called to ask if we were satisfied when job was completed. Would not recommend for various reasons.
Description of Work: We hired them to install a kitchen counter. Finally after third counter install and 3 months later job was finished, still not totally satisfied.

They were very explicit. I described to them what I was looking for and they provide a quote for me. I also got some quote from other companies...just the timing...I thought I will be able to do the job in the fall but I'm not able to financially because the job will be a lot more than I anticipated even with the three different quotes. The quote was okay but I was looking for a full remodel which includes the gutter but they will only do a partial repair.

they got things done with speed and respect for our property. they cleaned up after themselves at every step to ensure our comfort during the work. They were great with the 2 dogs that were in the house. The staff were professional in every phase of the job and made it easy for us to manage. I would recommend them to anyone who needed any remodeling done, Steve Senterline is top notch!

We had initially,a slightly rough start with physically contacting them by phone but once we got the H. Depot folks involved everything went pretty smoothly. They came out within the first few days after we contacted them to estimate the job. We had to go back and forth a little with the contract before we got everything in there that we specifically wanted done, which of course pushed the cost up but honestly they were not far off from what we had been quoted by the other contractor who went missing on this job. I was soo happy to finally get this job underway and for the most part they were in and out within 2.5 to 3 weeks from start. We did miss some days when they could not get their contractors there and we did not always have the same folks working this job which lead to some confusion, specifically when the electrician put elec outlets in the wrong area. He had to change this for us and seemed upset with us about, per my husband who was home for much of the time folks were in our home. The electrician also put an unusual outlet confiquration together and left us without a switchplate for it. I went to several stores to see if I could purchase one, as they aren't expensive and I just fiqured he forgot only to find out that this is very unusual and even the electrical distributor in Hartford couldn't help us. Bottom line is after several phone calls, this switchplate cover is on back order and still not on my wall, hopefully coming soon. When the town inspector came he felt everything looked ok xcept to say that our wall hung doorway was not even, and in fact he is correct. I did let senterline know this but they haven't said anything back to us. Honestly to fix this they would have to rip the new wall they put up and redo. so I am ok with leaving it this way. We also got an additonal charge from the electrician when he put the toe kick heater in and charged us an additional 200 to put a switch on the wall to turn on and off, otherwise we would have had to get down on the floor to turn it on it and off. Something we didn't know when we decided to go with this heat system. We had to wait over a month for the electric outlet cover and when I was called and told it was on back order again and would not be in till Dec., I told them this was not acceptable and requested they change the outlet to one that had a cover and they did this with a different electrician. After we painted the bathroom we discovered that the walls were not taped and plastered properly and had to have this redone, which they did. The other problem has been our pocket door which was getting rub marks on it before we even attempted to paint it. We were not able to have the contractor come out to look at this until after the holidays and when they came out they said they couldn't find anything really wrong with the door. There was also a long deep scratch in the door and my husband felt that a nail or screw that was used to insert the door must have been protruding in the door frame. They said they couldn't see anything and wanted us to just try and paint it again. Or we could pay them or another contractor to rip the door and install a regular door!. Shortly after leaving the house they called and said home depot said there was a problem with that particular door and they said they would fix it for us but sent someone out the next day to try and talk us into going with what we had. We my husband came home from work, he looked in the pocket door opening with a flashlite and immediately saw the protruding screws which he showed to the next contractor who came to the house and absolutely agreed with us. I have since had surgery so have had to wait to call them back to fix this problem. We also have an american standard wall mount toilet that has been randomly gurgling since 2 weeks after install and my husband who is a plumber had not been able to figure out what the problem is inc. calling the manufacturer so we are trying to contact the plumber who did the job from senterline to get his help but he hasn't called us yet. We were given his no and told to contact him ourself.
Description of Work: They remodeled our bathroom. We did the design work with Home Depot of Glastonbury and we had our own contractor to do the work. The contractor we were in the process of signing a contract with literally went missing and after waiting more than a month for them to get back to us we went back to H. Depot and used who they rec to do the work. They gutted the bathroom , xcept for the tile as we had our own tile person remove and replace all the tile on the floor and in tub area. They redid walls, electrical and plumbing along with installing cabinetry.

Description of Work: We had some work done on our kitchen, using Home Depot. Home Depot referred us to Senterline for much of the construction type work. They did a great job, were very reliable, etc. Their office staff was also very pleasurable to work with, which was an added bonus. It took a lot of coordination between Senterline, the granite vendor, Home Depot, etc. to get the job done and it was Senterline's office staff who helped me stay on top of what needed to be done and when. I would highly recommend them and would definitely use them again.

I bought the parts at Home Depot and was put in touch with Senterline as the official installer for Home Depot in this area. Home Depot said standard procedure was for their installer to call me and schedule a time to come out to my place and actually look at and measure the job to be done before I pick parts, so the parts I pick would actually fit. Win Senter called me promptly to schedule a visit, he showed up right on time and was very cordial and friendly while he did his work. He was there for 20 minutes or so, made drawings and said Home Depot would be back once they had Senterline's measurements so I could go in and pick the parts needed to fit the Senterline spec. At that time I could either hire my own contractor or arrange through Home Depot to have Senterline do the installation, and if I decided to use Senterline they would contact me separately to give me a quote on the labor part of the job. The Home Depot guy said he did not know what they would charge to do the installation itself, that he could only quote on parts. For simplicity I put in a request to have Senterline quote on the installation. Senterline produced a written (e-mailed) quote promptly based on their earlier drawings and measurements (no new visit was necessary), but the price seemed crazy high for such a small job...about 2.5x higher than what I ended up paying to have another contractor do the same job. I called Senterline's office and asked them why they were charging me $550 as just one line item in their quote simply to install and connect the two new taps, one on each vanity top (not the entire job of taking out old taps and then installing new ones nor did this line item apply to anything having to do with the vanity tops themselves, mind you...this amount was itemized as just to install the two new taps). The woman I talked to looked up my records and said this was a standard price, and that they had to re-plumb the water and waste lines because they always cut everything off at the walls when they replaced a vanity unit. I protested that the job clearly stated that the entire vanity was NOT being replaced, just the tops, and it did not make sense to cut the lines off at the wall. This was a misreading of the details of my job, which presumably she had in front of her when we were talking. They responded by offering me a small discount amounting to about 11% of the total job (so now their quote was about 2.2x what I finally paid, instead of 2.5x). When I suggested that even with the discount this quote seemed extremely high for such a simple job that I could not imagine taking much more than 3 hours to do...I asked if they were deliberately pricing high because the job was so small and perhaps they really did not want to do such a small job (I could have understood that as an explanation when most of their kitchen and bath jobs were probably 10-20x larger than my little job), but they assured me this was not the case, that this was a standard price quote for them to do a job like this, and that their basic unit prices were actually set by Home Depot, for whom they were the contractor. This seemed to run counter to what Home Depot told me...they implied that their contractors set their own prices, but I have no way of knowing the actual situation. The Senterline people were nice and professional to deal with on the phone, but in the end even with their small discount their price was much higher than I felt was right so I went to another contractor to do the work. Senterline would also have taken 2 weeks to fit me into their schedule...the guy I ended up working with was also fully booked with work and running multiple crews, but he fit me in three days after I called him. My conclusion: Senterline may be OK for larger jobs...I can't say from my experience, but they seem to get good reviews on Angie's List for larger projects. I can say they are not at all competitive for smaller jobs like mine, and I would not recommend them for such work.
Description of Work: This was a very small job to replace two bathroom vanity tops and taps. No construction, no plumbing apart from what was necessary to disconnect the old taps and connect up the new ones, and to re-connect the waste lines (this also involved replacing the traps on each sink). The vanity units themselves were NOT being replaced, and no work was anticipated on walls or floors.

Senterline was recommended to us by friends who had used them on several projects and loved their work. They are a family operation who takes pride in their work, and worked closely with us to make the bathroom something we would love. They offered several options along the way, and customized the rooms to our desires. They were very agreeable, making changes as work progressed, to solve problems and add features we didn't think of up front. They were punctual, and usually left the site cleaner than they found it. They supplied tradesman for most of the needed work, and recommended others for those tasks they didn't have the skills for. But be aware, they don't offer a complete solution. They recommend Home Depot and other sources of materials, and you are responsible for supplying cabinetry, tile, fixtures, etc. This is additional work on your part, but gives you flexibility in choosing furnishings. They were honest, hard working, and did not stop until the bathroom was exactly what we wanted. I'd recommend them highly for any home improvements.
Description of Work: We were looking for creative solutions to a master bathroom remodeling that was long overdue. We had several obstacles to overcome, including coming up with a design that incorporated a laundry room, with a top to bottom gut and rebuild of the old bathroom.

Description of Work: Senterline worked with me on a complete renovation of my kitchen. to come up with an amicable price while also giving me additional space I so needed.. From the very first contact with Steve, I was treated with respect and it was clear that they had my satisfaction as their utmost concern. They are a family owned and operated business. They were always on time for scheduled appointments. I was also very impressed with their clean up each and every time they performed any work and the respect they had for my property.. I have since used them on several other occasions for other jobs in my home. It is so comforting to have someone you can count on for talented/creative realiability. Wonderful trustworthy company.

They did what they were supposed to do. They were very good. I was working with Senterline and another company was supposed to supply the door. The other company didn't call me and I got an estimate from Senterline but it was not for what I wanted. I called them back and they called the other company and got it straightened out immediately. They told me the other company would get in touch with me to order it but they haven't. Senterline was great.

Professional in every aspect. The appointments made were always kept timely. I did not have one ounce of clean up to do after they completed their work. Once the work was completed, they went over all aspects with me to see if I had any questions before they left. In this day and age of dying professionalism, I am pleasantly surprised by this company and all their employees who were truly capable and caring.
Description of Work: Senterline Const. was hired to remove old cabinets and counters and replace with chosen new ones. Not only did they complete this task but worked with me to find the best way to utilize space, save me the most money and give me a look that would enhance my aging kitchen. They were totally professional and truly worked to please the customer in every aspect. I certainly plan to call on them again and again. SUPER!

We measured the space and it looked like about 25 inches (with the old oven still in place). We ordered a 23" oven instead of a 27", thinking there was not room for a 27". Senterline arrived to install the oven and pointed out that the space would fit a 27" with a little modification. We returned the 23" and ordered a 27" oven. Senterline returned and installed the 27" oven with no additional charge. Installation was perfectly fitted.
Description of Work: Installed a double oven purchased from Home Depot. Prompt, friendly, neat. Some carpentry was necessary for proper fit. Excellent work. Have called them again for ice dam damage repair.
