The tech that came out was good, but I have a feeling that he is partially commissioned-based. The reason is that he showed me, in real-time, some corrosion that my furnace has. He told me that there was a CO hazard as a result and had me sign a slew of documents that would hold HARP harmless if I turned the furnace back on and my family was injured as a result. His advice was, rather than replace the $3700 part and potentially have to replace the connected $3700 part, it would be most optimal to replace the whole unit for about $8200. Because I was properly concerned, after he left, I immediately went to the towns hardware store and bought 3 new CO detectors. While there, I asked the owner if he could recommend an HVAC person that might be able to give me a second opinion. 2 days later, that tech came out and spent about 1.5 hours going over the unit from top to bottom. His findings: Its an 11 year old unit that, besides some expected corrosion where the burners were near the metal brackets, the unit was in very good shape overall. So, including the CO detectors, I ended up spending $450 - which, I guess, is better than wasting $8200 on a unit that I did not need.

I hired them to install a new furnace and a/c unit in my house. I cannot get them to make the necessary fixes to satisfy the city permit requirement even though I paid them already thinking this was taken care of.

The Lenox heat pump they installed in our condo works great. Service tech who looked at our old system was though and clear as to what we were going to need. Salesman Nathan came on a Saturday, looked things over, and gave us a price. It was a bit high but he said they could get it done quickly. We signed a contract and HARP was scheduled to start the installation four days later. Crew showed up right on time and did fine work. That is where the good part ended. We have left 3 messages with Nathan and an email with some questions. No one at HARP has contacted us. HARP had to change the installation date and a maintenance promise was made to compensate us. We also have a question about filter access we would like to have someone at HARP to address. We are not happy about no follow-up. No one at HARP has even bothered to call and ask if everything went well. It seems once the money is handed over, you are forgotten.

Unfortunately, it took several weeks to schedule the repair, and there was also a problem with the circuit breaker that required a repair after HARP finished work, so we were without AC for several weeks during July. Not fun.

They canceled at the last minute 3 times for the boiler cleaning. Causing me to stay home from work for no reason. So far have canceled my A/C appointment 3 times and pushed us out. Last time they moved me out 2 months. Asked for a manager to call twice to no avail. Promises, promises. After a third call, I actually got to talk to someone who says they will actually show up in another month. We will see.

The project (repair the heating system) was for my rental property. When I sent a request via HomeAdvisor at a later afternoon, HARP respond it within a hour and a technician arrived the property couple hours later. They provided me the info of causing of issues, the ways to fix them and the cost to repair quickly when they were on-site. Within several days, they replaced damaged parts and finished jobs. The tenant writes, 'The company was great.. The workers were very professional, they wore foot coverings and masks, the dispatchers were very nice and communicative about when the workers were coming. Overall great!'
