It used to be a thieft comes into your home with a gun, not anymore. They carry a faucet wrench and a tag that says Aiello. To replace a plastic pipe under the sink $550.00. To replace a kitchen faucet $835.00. These jobs together took a total of one hour. Plastic pipe cost $30.00, faucet $175.00. Total charge was $1,400.00. $205.00 for parts, $1,195.00 for labor. If this plumber works a 40 hour week he would earn $45,000.00 in a five day week. No doctor, lawyer, or president of the United States make this much. An hourly plumber's rate in Connecticut is $200.00 per hour; Aiello is gouging the public. Aiello's pricing is insanity. Some official needs to review their pricing.

Spartak M was my plumbing technician for a job that turned out to be much more complicated than expected -- a leaking toilet that once removed revealed rotted wood and extra open space below the flange. Spartak worked continuously for 4 hours to open the ceiling from below, install additional two-by-fours, replace the flange, and replace the seal. He also replaced the leaky water valves on my sink even though they were very close to the wall and difficult to access. He explained every step to me and was very friendly. I was very happy with the service I received.

Aiello Home Service was appointed by Energize CT to do home energy Audit. During the audit they taped our custom wooden floor vent outlets, ripping from the floor the top protection resulting in damaging the floor vents. They replaced some LED lights as part of the audit and broke an expensive ceiling light fixture. Furthermore, they did not even complete the audit. After many reminders, one Aiello Home Service manager showed up with his crew. They acknowledged and confirmed the damages caused by Aiello crew during the audit. Aiello Manager promised he would send another crew to fix the damages and follow up to complete the energy audit. I have tried to contact them multiple times with no response to address my damages. I am VERY disappointed with their unprofessional staff and service and with no response to address the damages done by Aiello Home Service crew for more than 1 year now.

Our furnace failed completely in November 2017 setting off our COM sensors and sending alarms to the fire department. I called several different resources to try and find a solution and finally settled on Aiello. They were fast, knowledgeable and professional. They explained things so we could make the best choices and when there was a miscommunication theyade it right. So when our AC failed during the hottest time of the year I called them again. They were prompt, easy to work with and fair in price. Our house have never felt so warm when needed or cool when needed. And it's done right and looks good. I would recommend them and will be using them again.

I called them and TOLD them that my sewer line was backed up. They rolled out and showed up on time (points!), but then proceeded to quote me $1100 to scope and snake the sewer main... I said no (new that was too much). I then needed to shell out $49 just because they showed up to give me the unreasonable quote... for a service I knew I needed. It's not like they troubleshot an issue and identified something that needed to be done. They showed up, saw that I correctly identified a backed up sewer main and then charged me $49 to tell me I was right. It took me 10 min of calling other plumbing companies to get 3 quote all under $700 for the same service. I had used Aiello at a previous home before and assumed they were above board... turns out I shouldn't have given them the benefit of the doubt: their new business model seems to be show up, quote hundreds of dollars more than the service is worth, either they get to bilk you or they can roll back out 10 min later with $50!

BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY!! I wish I had read the reviews prior to calling Aiello, but a friend said she uses them and I wanted my "ghost flushing" toilets fixed ASAP. I should have known that they would charge an exorbitant fee when they wouldn't quote me a price over the phone even though I knew what the problem was. Instead, I agreed to the $49 service call fee expecting to pay slightly more for the convenience of them being able to come out to my home sooner than my regular plumber. When the Aiello technician came to the house, he quoted me $750.64 or $1105.15 depending on which repair I went with, just the fill valve and flapper repair on both toilets, or a total rebuild on one toilet in addition to the work on the second toilet. The technician also gave me some garbage about how I have to use Kohler parts, not just any old part from the hardware store. I was flabbergasted by the exorbitant fee the technician quoted me to make 2 simple toilet repairs. I paid the service fee and sent the technician away. I waited the few extra days to have my regular plumber fix the problems. He was here today. I paid $160, which is what I expected (1 hour labor at $135 plus a few simple parts). Shame on Aiello for having the gall to charge someone so much money for such a simple fix. I'm also upset that they got $49 out of me. Never again with this company.

Had general service. Technician reported heat exchanger cracked. Firm provided estimates for replacement of furnace, etc. Subsequent 2nd and 3rd opinions by credible service companies found no problem with heat exchanger or furnace. This including the gas company which does not sell or install but tested for CO and found ZERO problem. False diagnosis by the company subject of this review.

Charged as much for drain down and purge as it cost for purging steam radiators. Massively different job. I was in an emergency situation with an appraiser coming to my home in 2 days and I feel VERY taken advantage of. They had to come to my home twice because the job was not done correctly the first time and I had no heat afterward. They initially tried to charge me for the whole drain and purge a second time. Found out later local plumber would have done the same work for $800 and I paid $1400.

It is a big plumbing company here in Connecticut. Services that are included with the charge are having 24 hour a day service every day. This covers any type of plumbing, like, pipes leaking and my furnaces if there is a problem with the heat, that kind of thing. They are reliable and have been in business a long time. Every plumber that has ever come here has been extremely knowledgeable. They don't take advantage of you. One time my heat was not working upstairs, we have water running through the baseboard. It was winter and I got up and it was cold so I called them. He came right way, it was something with the thermostat on the actual boiler, but he said that you know, really, what he had to do was drain the water out of the system to fix this they then he said really and truly there is probably a little leak I did not think there was a leak and he said I would be surprised abut leaks in the baseboards. He could have charged me $400 to do that but he did not do that because he said it would probably not show up. We have never had any trouble after that. Some other guy could have said to me I had to do this then I would have done it because I would have been concerned that I would have a flood. I trust these people. Their quality is very good.

That's why I got a service contract with them because they are very reliable. I pay, I think, like, $8.75 a month and if I have something break, like on a Sunday morning it is, like, very reliable so I don't had have to think about it. It's like, it's a big company and they service their customers. They always give you, like, you know, every year they send out something that gives you like a 30-percent discount on certain things if you decide to upgrade or whatever. not that you do this all the time, but I just like it. I need to have somebody really reliable that I can call if I am in trouble with plumbing.

What a mess. We wanted a plumber to go in and do a targeted plumbing and heating inspection (after the visual inspection on our potential new home turned up some big red flags). The current owner was on board with us bringing in a professional to look at the plumbing/heating and give an estimate on the work that needs done. We didn't want the current owner to be bothered with requests; we were handling this and it was our responsibility to handle it. We spoke to three agents, jumped through many hoops to accommodate Aiello's concerns and by the end Aiello still managed to make a hot mess of our simple request. Aiello agent #1: this person interrupted me mid-sentence to tell me that since I was not yet the owner she would not schedule me. She instructed me to call the current owner to have HIM set it up. My fiancé called the next day... Agent #2: once the fiance clarified that Aiello was not being booked to make any changes, only to inspect and give an estimate, they agreed; only to cancel the next day because they still needed the owner to set it up. We called to follow up on this, they did not call us to tell us they would be cancelling. Agent #3: ok. Here is the number for the current owner. Go ahead and call him and tell him we will pay the plumbers but we need him to book them and give them access. Instead they told the owner that he would have to pay. Of course, he said no and Aiello left him with potentially some annoyance at us. Seriously, Aiello, poor, poor performance. You lost a potential new customer and potential large home plumbing job. We hired a local, small firm and they did an incredible job with ZERO hassle.

I scheduled a repair of a leaking shower mixing valve at a rental unit I own. At the time the work was done I was in CA on business. Worker on site called and quoted $400 for repair. Called back to report repair was impossible - needed replacement. Quote increased to $1,100 which I thought was outrageous, but I was stuck and authorized him to proceed. Credit card was later charged nearly $1,800! After I complained they issued a $240 credit. The credit didn't come close to bringing the cost in line with the job. The reasons given for the high cost: their higher overhead and the intricacy of replacing the valve without going through the wall in back of the shower (which was damaged by a drill from the repair anyway). Tenant reported Aiello was on site about 3 hours. Parts were likely less than $200. That's over $400 per hour for "labor and overhead". Unconscionable business practice. After the fact I searched the web and found articles detailing fines previously paid by Aiello management to CT Consumer Protection. Buyer beware!

I will use them again because of their responsiveness. Some plumbers keep you hanging for years, but these guys actually show up. The problem with them is they charge you through the nose, but if you really need somebody, like, the next day, you can count on them. That's pretty much how they operate and we use them for that reason. Sometimes you've just got to have them.

Not good. Aiello is a come on scam. When I called for a service appointment I was told there normal service was $372 to clean the furnace but it was on sale for $185 since it's summer. When the technician arrived, he said the $185 was to look at the furnace, but if I wanted it brushed and cleaned it was another 89 plus tax. And there is a $20 oil disposal fee for the filter and nozzle and all of this is plus tax. So we were right back at $300 plus. I asked the technician to leave at that price.

They are extremely expensive. They once charged me almost $500 for an oil pump replacement. I went to a plumbing supply place and bought the exact same pump later for $85. When we had no heat, they determined there was excessive suction because I did not buy oil from them and there was sludge. I got a second opinion from another company and got a different assessment saying the lines needed to be blown out instead and the pump replaced. They only charged $151.55 for all of that. I am not using this company anymore.
Description of Work: I had a monthly payment plan where they came out for any servicing needs. They also cleaned my oil burner and did an annual inspection and cleaning of the oil heating system.

The first time I called Aiello the said it would be a $69 service charge when I already had several people come out free of charge so I did not bother. I then called back about 2 days later and was told that I would not be charged for an estimate on a new furnace so I went with it. I ended up spending almost 50% more on a new furnace I believe; $5,000!! For a very very small house. I'm not complaining even though I spent so much because the entire team of professionals were indeed very customer service friendly from start to finish. They knew what they were doing. They came out with a team of 4-5 men and spent a good 6 or so hours replacing my furnace. They team included plumbers, electricians etc and all the other trades needed to complete the job. After this, a week later and the thermostat which is digital and wifi is not connecting to the new furnace. I placed a call and the came out within 30 min and temporarily fixed the problem that they did not know at the time was a temp fix. Placed another call 2 days later and they were back out to take another look. So long story. It ended up being some Wire that needs to be fixed/replaced. An electrician will be out tomorrow. Needless to say Aiello is definitely very pricey but in the end you get what you pay for. My new furnace is fully warrantied and each time I call they come out free of charge. this visit by the electrician I'm sure should be the last visit however. I'm pleased with the services of Aiello and will use them to install a hot water heater next. At least I know I'm covered and do not have to wait for them to come out. The sales person Matt C is excellent and very customer service oriented.
