This service was well worth the price. The company was very professional. I was expecting to hear that there would be a lot of other work needed but everything was covered by the 99$ package and I was not told I needed any other work done.

When we moved into our house a year ago the building inspector warned us that the roof was not in as great a condition as the sellers had led us to believe. Seaview confirmed that there was some shoddy workmanship, and took photos of specific examples. He used a silicon patch in several places to hold us until we need a full replacement in ~5 years. We felt that we got an honest assessment and will call them again when we need them.

It went very well. My roof was inspected, and silicone applied where needed. Gene took before and after pictures, and gave me a detailed report. He took the time to review the report with me and answere my questions. He was very professional, knowledgeable and I highly recommend him.

Said that roof was too steep and needed scaffoldind; therefore never climbed roof to inspect or repair shingles as advertised. He just applied some chaulking in one corner while on the ladder.

Gene was prompt, thorough, and best of all explained things so that the average person (like me) could understand. He took the time needed to evaluate various aspects of my roof. I was immediately impressed by his professionalism and knowledge. He knew more than just about the roof and was clearly experienced in all aspects of building by the way he was able to educate me on roofing, the chimney and flashing etc. I was very impressed.

Everything went well! I was very happy with the work that was done by Gene. He is very professional and pleasant. He took pictures of the areas on the roof that were causing some leaking problems and explained the best course of acton. He did fix the problem that I was having. I would definitely consider calling him if there are any other problems with my roof and would also refer him to my family and friends.

Communication was good. Sometimes was slow getting back but still did. They had workers that were all Spanish speaking so it was hard to communicate with them.

My schedule can be difficult so I was surprised when they told me they could have someone come out to my house on a Sunday afternoon. That was ideal since it didn't conflict with my job during the week. If I'm not mistaken, the contractor who visited my home was Gene. He called ahead to tell me he was on his way and arrived at the expected time. He took the time to check the results of some water damage inside my home, also checked the attic - due to some questions I had, and got up on the roof to take a look at everything. Although he didn't find any damage that required repair, he did notice that my attic didn't have the proper ventilation and provided an estimate to add a Shingle Vent sometime in the future. Results of the visit: I am reassured that my roof is in good shape and will make it through the next winter - provided I use the roof rake like Gene told me, I have an estimate from a reputable company to add the necessary venting to the roof to keep it in good shape and I now have someone to call if anything goes wrong in the future. They offer 24 hour emergency storm damage service. Overall, everyone at Seaview was very professional, accommodating and competent. I will definitely hire them to install the roof vent next year and will consider them my go-to company for any future roofing needs.

He called within 48 hours of purchase and came over within 72 hours. Roof was repaired within 72 hours of purchasing. He took pictures while on roof to show us what was needed and obtained authorization for additional $75 in cost to make repairs. Entire visit was 45 minutes in length.

The service was scheduled promptly in a mutually convenient manner. My roof issue was solved quickly and the explanation of repair was easy to understand and helpful!

I had hired this company to do some minor roof maintenance using an Angie's Big Deal because my roof was going to be 20 years old and I had noticed some shingles lifting. It turned out my roof was in horrible shape and Gene gave me a quote for a new roof, including several upgrades, and I hired him on the spot. My roof was so bad that he moved around all his other jobs so that I would be the very next job they did. They came on Thursday May 8 (only a few days after I'd hired them) with all their trucks and material, but because it rained for the next two days they couldn't get started until Monday, May 12. Gene also pointed out that my gutters had been hung incorrectly and really needed to be rehung to work properly and avoid water damage. I was reluctant, but he was truly wonderful - he did that part of the job for me at cost. After two 12-hour days I had a beautiful new roof, with shingles and labor warranted for 30 years (transferable), and properly hung gutters. The crew was fantastic - they tarped all my shrubs and windows when they stripped the roof, and cleaned up everything when they were done. I would HIGHLY recommend this company.

I bought this deal because my roof was going to be 20 years old this summer and I had noticed some shingles lifting, so I wanted to see how many years the roof had left and I wanted to have minor maintenance done. Gene came on a Saturday, and did and inspection and some maintenance on the lifted shingles, but it wasn't long before he took me up on the roof to show me how bad my roof was. There was quite a bit of wind damage and strips of shingles were gone. I was lucky that I had not had any interior leaking. I was in shock. He gave me a quote for a new roof, and it was very good - I hired him on the spot. Needless to say, this was the best $99.00 I ever spent. I will write about the roofing project in a separate review.

It took several weeks to set up this appointment. They would call and try to come that day --- usually I need more time than that to make sure someone is home and available. To be fair, I was on vacation for a week, and then it rained a few days, so scheduling was difficult. When the representative arrived, he went up onto the roof for apx 20 minutes. He told us that he repaired a few cracks, exposed nails, etc. We weren't expecting much more than that because of the low cost. However, from there it turned into a sales pitch - which wasn't what we were looking for. He told us about his company and how they replace roofs, what the cost would be, etc. This was my first "angies list deal" so maybe this is common, but we weren't looking for an estimate on a new roof, but rather a quick and reliable way to have the roof inspected and minor repairs done.

My experience went great. They were really honest and even seal some spots that would case leaks. They were very professional and knowledgeable. I would recommend them to anyone.

In response to an Angie's List offer for a $99 Roof Maintenance Package, Seaview Custom Homes came out to my home approximately 2 weeks after accepting the offer. Gene did an excellent job explaining issues with photographs he had taken of the roof, and showing the minor repairs made. He was courteous and thorough, and provided a summary report of long-term maintenance needs.

It went very well. They were able to locate the possible source for the water stains on the upstairs ceiling, chalk loose shingles, and made recommendations for possible future fixes, if the staining should continue next winter. Gene and Rich we're both very knowledgeable and professional and I certainly would have them back for any future repair work as well as recommend them to friends.

It went well as expected without any extra cost. All the work that was done was explained to me with pictures so I can see what was done and what may be needed in the future.

Seaview showed up when they said they would and immediately went to work inspecting and working on the roof. They took pictures of any problems they found (several minor issues that they repaired for me). They also took pictures of some split masonry around my chimney cap which was in need of repair. When they were finished they took the time to sit down with me and explain what they did and to recommend some continuing steps that I could take to provide ongoing maintenance.

Because this is a very old house (circa 1737) it was a very difficult job. Basically there were no straight lines and a great deal of custom cutting. The roof and the flashing are superb. The main part of the job was outstanding. But there were a couple of hitches. We did get water damage while they were working because they didn't fasten tarps properly. It was a hassle to get the damage fixed and It took a surprisingly long time to wrap up a couple of very small details. it seemed that I had to almost nag them. This was especially surprising since I owed a balance of more than $5,000. I would have thought they would have been eager to finish and get paid. But bottom line, the roof is beautiful and the price was very good.

The contractor has not been out to the house yet, but I just want to give them a thumbs-up for responsiveness and professionalism in actually ANSWERING my call - refreshing after getting voicemail after voicemail - and scheduling a next-day appointment for the estimate. I will write another review for the services performed when/if this contractor completes the work.
