Upon the first visit with, that had a service charge associated with it, he gave the diagnosis that it needed a new pump. He said that he'd ordered the part and that he'd come back to install it. When he came back, he cleaned out the hoses, said that it didn't need a pump, and said that he tested it. He charged me for services rendered for $170 and the machine is not fixed. I tried to call him about this, but I can't reach him because he won't answer the phone and his mailbox is full.
Description of Work: He said there was a bad drain pump on my washing machine, and he said it would cost $200 to repair it. After the visit and his charges, the washing machine is still in the same condition of not spinning and not draining.

We contacted this company the day our LG refrigerator died. He came over that day, looked at it, said it needed a new compressor. Then he launched into a diatribe against LG, always punctuating it with "I'm not saying anything bad about LG, but ..." He also made bizarre comments to me about whether I was from Connecticut or not, and clearly preferred talking to my husband. He told us he could fix the refrigerator for about $350 parts+labor, but the part could take "up to 3 weeks" to come in. We told him we had to think about it to decide whether to fix it or not, and we would call him. Since we didn't know what we planned to do, we wrote him a check for $74 for just a service call/estimate, which he said he would apply toward the repair. We had owned that refrigerator for less than 3 years and didn't want to see it in a landfill. So less than 2 hours after he left we called and said please go ahead and order the part. That was on Friday, April 8. On Monday, April 11, my husband called to make sure he got our message on his voice mail to order the part. He said yes, and told my husband he had already ordered it on Friday afternoon. Three+ weeks later, he cashed the $74 check. Still no word on the part. My husband called him on Monday, May 2, Wednesday May 4, and Friday May 6. No response to any of those calls. We called him again this morning, May 10. No response yet. I don't believe he ever ordered the part. If he had, he would have responded to one of the four phone calls we made. I think that his own prejudice against LG products (any appliances made outside the US, actually) in his mind justified lying and screwing us over. Here we are 4+ weeks later, having spent hundreds of dollars on eating out, plus bag after bag of ice to use in the refrigerator trying to use it as a cooler until the part came in, plus the $74 he got for the "service" of coming to our home, lying to us and insulting us. Obviously we were foolish to trust him after all that he had said against LG. But it just never occurred to me that he would be that dishonest.

They did a good job, cleaned up well, and even helped us fix a washer and dryer while they were there. Joe Panza, who owns and runs the business, came out and was very personable, clean cut, and professional. I had no problem trusting him in my home and around my family.
Description of Work: This company came out and installed a new central air conditioning unit in my 1700 square foot home. This was covered under my home warranty, so I only had to pay the deductible.
