They came out and their pricing was too high so we didn't go with them. The quote took a little longer than I had expected but when the quote came in it was quite a bit higher than I had anticipated. It took them about three weeks. They are nice people but the pricing was just out of what it should have been.

We found that the Babybrook people were honest and responsive and we could always reach them on any issue. They were unfailingly pleasant and tried hard to please. They were willing to come back to meet with us about concerns to be sure each one was handled to our satisfaction. As we added items to their To Do list, they cheerfully cooperated and handled the items expeditiously. When there were billing questions, they were fair in working with us to resolve them. We can say honstly that in working with Baybrook for more than three months, they were unfailingly pleasant, accommodating, and professional. They were highly skilled and very knowledgeable, and we recommend them highly. Their work product is first rate. We will definitely use Baybrook again.

We were a few weeks away from starting our renovation when our contractor fell through. Our bank (Wells Fargo) suggested that we meet with Ken at Baybrook. What a blessing. Baybrook was fantastic! We had received estimates from a few other contractors and the Baybrook price came out about in the middle. From the first meeting with Ken and Dan, I knew Baybrook was the company I wanted to work with. They were so professional and knowledgable. I felt comfortable right from the start. Everyone at Baybrook couldn't be nicer and truly were a pleasure to work with. They treated my home with respect and kept everything as clean as possible. I have 3 children under the age of 5 and being displaced was very difficult. Ken and the team were very conscious of that and finished the renovation ahead of schedule. The quality of work far exceeds that of any other contractor I have worked with to date. I really have nothing negative to say. The whole renovation process went smoothly and I love my "new" house! Since then I have used Baybrook for a few smaller projects on my older existing first floor (leaking pipe etc). They have treated me with the same professionalism and completed the work in the same timely manner as they did my major second floor renovation. I am in the process of planning to do a kitchen renovation and will be using Baybrook for sure!

Baybrook provided top-notch, timely service that was fairly priced and professionally executed. Ken Carney is knowledgeable, responsive, and holds his people to high standards. To a person, Baybrook's contractors and subcontractors were helpful, capable and delightful to deal with. As a woman who was often alone in the house with sometimes 6-7 workmen, no one ever made me feel even remotely uneasy. I have undertaken extensive renovations over the years and Baybrook is the only company I have used that essentially came through on time and on budget. Project Managers would frequently visit after the work was completed to ensure that things were done properly. When you do a large project there are always little things that are left to be done at the end. Baybrook took care of everything on that list. About the only complaint, and it's more in the form of a recommendation, is that I would often not know what time his people were arriving. (I understand that they work on multiple jobs simultaneously and that emergencies occasionally arise.) We may be renovating a condo in another state and if I could, I would take Baybrook with me!

I was very satisfied with the quality of the work. I found them to be easy to work with. Although not a major job, they took the time to address all the concerns I had. They were punctual and cleaned up after they were finished, I have no complaints. I would not hesitate to recommend them and to use them again.They have a good reputation. I

Well, I am not usually one to get on the internet and post reviews, but I feel compelled to do something for a company that has just completed our ?Dream Home?. Ken Carney and his staff at Baybrook Remodelers have far exceeded any expectations that we had when we started this process back in November (2012). We went to Ken with some plans, a budget, and some dreams; and man have they delivered. We completely renovated our current home by renovating the existing 1st floor and adding a substantial size 2nd floor. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is second to none. The major things that were getting completed, were easy for me to see, it was the small things that the workers did that made this house come out perfect. One of many examples was when electrical was going in and I could not decide on fixtures, location of lights, pantry lights, etc. Both Ken and his project managers were extremely patient and innovative when coming up with different ideas to solve ?problems? that I would present. The best part, was that they were coming up with modern and innovative ideas that made the house 10x better solely based on my requests. THEY KNOW WHAT THEY ARE DOING!!!!!!! BELIEVE ME!!! Words are never going to be able to express how grateful we are that we were referred to Baybrook. I always worry that somebody is going to try and take advantage of my lack of knowledge on something or situation and always worry that I didn?t get the best deal. Ken and his team were very reassuring and understood that we were embarking on a life changing event when we undertook this project and they never took advantage of that. In fact there were a couple times, when the project deviated from the plans and/or the contract (as is usual with a project this size). Not only did Ken make sure, I knew why something had changed, I was given the benefit of the doubt and not charged for the change. Who does this? Ken Carney does this!!! The only additional charges we incurred on our project were changes and additions we requested and all of them were in writing and agreed to prior to the change. There were never any surprises when it came to costs associated with this project. One would think that a large scale project would be stressful and come with numerous problems. We had NONE! In fact, Baybrook made our living conditions as comfortable as possible. You see, we lived in the house for as long as we could during construction. We have two small children and the workers at Baybrook made it a point to be respectful of us, our children, and our space. They were clean, engaged our children in conversation, were respectful, and responsive to all of our needs. I could keep going with praises and examples of how Baybrook exceeded all of our expectations, but I think you get the point. We are more than satisfied with Baybrook Remodelers. We were referred by a local community bank and another friend who had used them for an addition. I will definitely be using them again for a 1st floor bathroom remodel and have already referred them to a relative. I thought the estimate was too high. I would probably not going to use them. They quoted me for over $11000. It seems to be a bit high to me because that didn't include fixtures and that kind of thing. Baybrook Remodelers Inc. was great. I heard from them almost immediately. They came out when they said they would. They did the estimate and the estimate was professional. The gave me a ton of information about the company. It was a great company. I don't have a problem with that. I would get a quote from them in the future.

This remodeling was really a tale of two cities. The work performed by the subcontractors was of top-notch quality. We were very happy with the floor and tile work. The problem was (is) the length of the job Being a smaller job, I prepared my wife for it t take a month or month and a half since I expected Baybrook would need to fit us in between their larger jobs. However, Baybrook started at the beginning of March and as of August 6 (today) they are still not done. Although it is very pretty to look at, the new master shower is unsable as they have not installed the right hardware (shower head) and the hardware they installed in the interim is not working. So basically we have been down to one shower for over 5 months. We were without use of 2 of our three toilets for three months and our downstairs living room was piled with Kitchen and Dining room furniture for three months. We finally moved a lot of it back in ourselves in order to have some friends over. It appears to be a management problem, every time a an issue/mistake occurred they seemed incapable of recovering. For example, they built the shower to the wrong specifications originally and had to make some small modifications so they could put a door on the shower, this took weeks to occur. This type of issue happened a number of times. I do not know if this is a general problem, or they just cannot handle smaller jobs (contrary to their claims). My best advice is that if you contract with them, have some significant penalties in the contract based on the time it takes. Interestingly the only person who has ever apologized to us for the time this has taken was the shower door installer, who is not a Baybrook employee. On the positive side, one area they were always timely on was collecting money, someone was always willing to drop by on a moments notice to get a check.

Employee working on job worked efficiently and did nice job except no nail holes were filled on trim work. The work seemed pricey, but at the time it was difficult to find another contractor. Problem at the end providing the lockset finishes that were quoted and promised. Took a lot of back and forth to get it what was wanted and promised. Overall good experience but pricey.

We are looking to do a major kitchen and master bath remodel as well as replace almost all the floors and windows in the house. We called and made an appointment on 6/18/2013 for Baybrook to come and evaluate the remodel and work up an estimate. The appointment was for 6/25/2013 at 10:30 AM. Today, 6/19/2013, we got a call from Baybrook saying that we shouldn't have been given an appointment because we were further then they would go. We said that the listing in Angie's List showed that they did our area at which point we were told that we were over an hour from West Haven, where they are located. The profile for Baybrook says they do the entire state of Connecticut as well as a county in Massachusetts. While this happening was not a big deal it was disappointing. I hope that this incident will prompt Baybrook to update their information on Angie's list.

They are very professional to,work with and do exceptionally great work. They are not the lowest bidders but being hassle free and having the high standard of workmanship is worth it.

My 200-year old tree went through my neighbor's house and I asked them for an estimate and all kinds of things but they were unprofessional in the details. They never gave me the estimate for all the work. They didn't respond. We have all kinds of damage to the house and they only gave me one estimate with no details and I never called them back and they didn't seem to care and then I found out a lot of people had problems with them but in your site, they were highly rated and that's where I got them. A guy came to get a quote and never heard from them again. The problem was that nothing was usable and it was a high-end. They did quote on one part of the job for around $16,000 but I only got that for $3100. I asked them to give me a quote on some room renovation and a porch. The guy came and tool all kinds of measurements and pictures but I never got the quote. I won't use them again nor I would recommend them to anyone.

I had never done complete remodel before, but desperately wanted a new Kitchen. Kimberly stepped me through the process. Dan and the design team helped me design the kitchen of my dreams. I had no idea what I wanted (except that I hated the kitchen I had). They came up with ideas, worked with me as I evaluated them and took time to talk to me to make sure I was happy with the plan. There was so much preplanning needed and they were helpful every step of the way. I cannot speak highly enough of Kimberly's patience and expertise. She is truly amazing! Everyone who came to my house, be they the demolition team that gutted my kitchen, to the plumbers, electricians, tile installers,painters and carpenters,were professional and treated my home with respect, working very hard to minimize the mess and difficulty of having major work done. They worked to keep me somewhat functional (able to make coffee and keep a refrigerator until the new one was installed etc),and were always pleasant. The work was finished early and the results were amazing!! I love my Kitchen and love cooking in it. I spend most of my day in it now. I have since used Baybrook for the installation of a generator, repaving my driveway and replacing my gutters. They have also painted most of the other rooms in my house. I trusted them to do a good job and was not disappointed. I would be remiss if I did not mention Ken Carney in this review. He is the man who runs it all. He insists on quality from his employees and it shows. I was very wary of having workmen in my home, and he convinced me that his were professional and he was correct. He honestly wanted me to be happy with the results of any job they did. He was available at a moments notice throughout the entire process. I would trust him with any project I may have, and have recommended him (successfully) to my sister, my best friend and my son.

Excellent. The work was completed on time and to specifications. I was very happy with the fixtures and other materials we selected, and the room came out great. Baybrook highly values satisfied customers, and does what they need to do to ensure that every customer is happy with the work they perform.

They let me pick out the style and color I wanted. This company was very respectful. The contractors and one part of the construction team were punctual but one part was not.

Ken came to see about my drip that was causing me grief. He identified a number of other issues that were the originating cause of the drip, and suggested that we address all issues so I can put the house on the market. Although expensive, I decided to go with Baybrook because of recommendations from a friend and their professionalism, in general. As the project moved along, they found lots of issues with the house, but fixed all of them and kept me abreast of what they were finding. At one point, the workers caused an electrical circuit to overload, but the circuit couldn't just be fixed. It turned out that there was a flaw that made the circuit not flip off immediately and it could have caused a fire in the house. Baybrook - at no expense to me - send 2 electricians who worked all day to "unravel" the crazy wiring that the previous owners had installed so that the faulty wiring would not be a fire risk any longer. Throughout the project (which took a couple of weeks), I had a fabulous project manager who was on top of what was going on, explained issues that arose, checked in regularly to make sure I was happy and that things were going okay, and the workers were neat, professional and very skilled. The company was very flexible about payment terms, as well. Overall, I'm SO happy I went with Baybrook. Others might have been fine, but the peace of mind I got from the overall professionalism and quality was critical in making this large project totally unstressful for me! It's a true pleasure to recommend Baybrook Remodelers!

I had new carpeting put in my living room, dining room, hallway and both sets of stairs. As always with Baybrook they showed up on time (actually a little early) did a REMARKABLE job - neat, careful with my furniture, pleasant, friendly and of course professional!!!! I always look at at least 3 different companies when I am doing any work around my home and always come back and use Baybrook Remodeling because THEY ARE THE VERY BEST

I repeat what I wrote above because it tells you how great this company is and you should read it again! I have been doing business with Baybrook Remodeling for several years. (New roof, windows, doors, floors, attic insulation, drainage issue, etc. ) Whenever I need work done even though I most likely will continue to use Baybrook I still check out prices and services of other companies and todate have ALWAYS found Baybrook Remodeling in West Haven, CT to be the very best with service, price, puntuality, friendliness, cleaniness, etc. etc. Everyone at this company is wonderful. From the receptionist who first answers your call to the person removing the last piece of trash. And as for Ken the owner well he is top of the line. The staff has always been friendly, pleasant to work with and to say they are on time would be putting it wrong - they usually get there early!!! At the end of a day your property looks neat and clean. I had a drainage issue in my garage and they had to dig up my garden to fix the problem - they actually placed the plants and my garden decorations back almost exactly where they were before they started - I was extremely surprised and pleased since I would never had expected that and the plants came back even bigger. I have enjoyed working with this company and hope to for many years to come - they are THE BEST! If you need anytype of work done this is the place and the people to go to.

We were looking to have our bathroom done. We had a few estimates, but we were kind of confused about how the process would be carried out, eg., who would buy the supplies and would the builder pick up the materials, or would we have to have everything purchased by us and shipped, and what about contracts and guarantees. Most of the builders we talked were sure on some things vague on others. My wife stopped by Baybrook just to ask them a few questions. From the start they were very courteous and patient with our questions, they gave us some phamphlets and materials to look over, we took them home and studied them. Next we checked "Angies LIst" they had an (A) rating and almost all of what we read about them was positive. So we went back and sat down with them. They explained everything to us, from their insurance, contract guarantees and warranty program, and their security checks of their workers. They took us over the process thourghly, explained everything to us. They answered all our questions. And most important they provided us with several options in fixtures, cabinets, and styles. They even assigned a representative to guide us through the process of choosing from the many designs and styles of products. They had a complete floor plan, and stuck to it. They showed up for work promptly, when they said they would, they put down protective materials so our property and household goods would not be damaged. Their workers were polite, clean and efficient, they removed all of the debris, after each phase of the process. They had their supervisors inspect each phase of the renovations. After everything was complete they came back for a final review, they went over in detail about their 10 year warranty. My compliments to Ken, Pat, Kim and all the workers for a job more than well done. We would deffintly recommend them to anyone needing work. .

Ken was always available and responded quickly, whenever I contacted him.Dan's design skill was wonderful, and every workman who came to my home was respectful of my property and could not have been nicer to deal with.The job was finished before the estimated completion date, and although having no kitchen for an extended period of time is difficult, they worked with me to help me keep some functionality throughout the process. Since they have done my Kitchen I have used them for painting other rooms, re-asphalting my driveway and repairing my sidwalk, fixing a leak in my Moms garage, and are currently installing a generator. I could not be more pleased with this company

They had done a lot of work from siding, masonry, roof and floor. I do highly recommend them.

They came gave me an estimate and approximate date. They showed up on time and did the work. They worked very hard and completed the work it in a lot less time than I would have imagined. A few days after it was complete they stopped back to check everything and make sure I was happy with the work. It was exactly what I wanted done.

All projects went well with little interuption

Pleasure to work with with, I just wished I would have found them sooner. I had to Kiss plenty of frogs till I found this Prince.On time, great communication and competitive price. Highly recommend.
