Richland Pest & Bee Control

Came the same day I called and provided us with important information about the product they used. Bees are gone and if they return within three months they will come back for a second application.

I have used them for the past three years and have had a good experience. They are very responsive, thorough, polite, and I think their prices are very reasonable. They do a bee barrier to keep the bees away and I have never had to have them come back. They will come back for no charge if for some reason the visit did not take care of the bees.

They came out several times. They put a bee barrier around the house and it worked very nicely. The fellow I talked to on the phone was very nice. I had two people come out to do the bee control. They were very nice and prompt. They explained things to me about how the bees act. I found that very interesting. I will probably use them again.

Very punctual , thorough and professional. Explained exactly what is going on. Checked the interior of the home to ensure if the bees haven't gotten into the walls from outside.

Show up same day while I was at work. I was informed over the phone about what they will do and what may happen over next week. Very happy with the service, would recommend and hire again.

Very well. They were very friendly, called before they came so we had a window of time to be there, and did a good job of explaining everything.

It went very well! They came out, talked me through everything that I would need to do to keep my dogs safe for the day or so after the treatment, and worked their magic. Now all my wasps are happily deceased.

Fast and perfect! I called this afternoon, Kim quoted a price and sent 2 men right over. Within less than an hour this annoying nest was gone!! Now we can have our deck back! We called in the morning and they were able to come out that afternoon. They explained what they would be doing and were able to locate the wasp nest and then treat it with an insecticide that would continue to kill any wasps that later returned to the nest. They also were able to take care of a nest they identified during a perimeter inspection of the house. Both men were courteous and efficient.

Excellent. The wasps are gone. The scheduling was courteous and efficient; the two men that came out were on time (within the scheduled window); the procedure was explained to us. The work is guaranteed. I would recommend Richland.

I was extremely annoyed with them. The work that they did was good. The service, in general, stunk. I had to, several times, wait around for someone who either was late or didn't show up. They really focus on commercial business. To get into home business, is not a service to them. I was given a discount just because they service a school in my area and I was an afterthought. That statement - well, never said in words - came through loud and clear. Clearly, home owners are an afterthought to commercial business. If that's the business they want to stay in, God love them. "Go do it. But, stop doing a disservice to people who are paying and waiting for you to show up." The work that they do is good if you can get them here. That's my issue. I was actually given two extra free appointments because they didn't show up. They know I'm not happy because they were like, "Well, we'll check back with you in six months." It has been a year and I haven't heard from them. I paid $50 for them to come and do an inspection and then, I had to fight for them to take that $50 off my first bill.

It took several calls to get the inspection scheduled and the attitude of the person who came was not professional. They wanted all of their money upfront for the service which didn't sit well with me. Based on the feedback from other members - I determined that I would continue spending my time tracking them down to get the service scheduled, so I decided to go with Michael Carpenter Ant instead they are outstanding..

Richland was terrific. I phoned on a Saturday morning after my husband unwittingly disturbed a yellow jacket nest on our property and was attacked and stung 10-12 times. The nest was along our driveway, so we really had to get rid of it since we need to walk past the spot regularly. They had a technician out to us within a few hours, and the chemical + water treatment only took a few minutes. The yellow jackets were toast -- we haven't seen a single one in the area since. Would definitely recommend!

Richland was great. I called them they got right back to me. Mike explained what they would do and how much it would cost. They were able to fit me in that same afternoon. Technician was professional and answered my questions. Would definitely use again.

Showed me where they could be coming in and how I could block those entries. Left bait traps in various areas; I have not seen evidence of nor heard mice since! I signed up for service with Richland for them to return in 3 months and re-evaluate then. Very pleased so far!

Angel arrived after having a bit of a problem finding us but the GPS sent him a way I wouldn't have - especially during the traffic at that time. He was very personable and informative, speaking with us about the problem and letting us know what he would be doing. We received a price (used the Angie's List coupon) and I thought it was reasonable since we had three different areas of infestation. The job was done efficiently and I've waited to write a review to see if the pests had returned. We haven't seen anything but a few dead wasps on the deck going into the house. I really didn't want to spray - we have had pests around the house since we have lived there (25 years) but the situation was getting so we couldn't get into the house without running and ducking. I would definitely use Richland Pest control again if a problem arose. I had no problem with Sandy - I found her to be efficient on the phone, very knowledgeable and I was happy not to have to wait very long to have someone come out.

The technician was very friendly and informative. He efficiently took care of the problem, removed the nest and even picked up the dead wasps from the ground. I would definitely have them come back if the need were to arise.

The technician, Dylan, was thorough and courteous. Upon arrival, he listened to my concerns and addressed them succinctly and when asked if I had any questions....I did not, since his explanations were so complete. The office personnel ( Ashley and Michael) were particularly helpful to ensure the services they could provide would be appropriate for my needs as I am allergic to bees and wasps. I have put on my calendar to contact the Richland firm in April of each ensuing year for this same service.

Overall a pleasant experience. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Somewhat quirky appointment setup, where you call the day of your appointment to get your 3 hour window; I never got a 3 hour window, just a heads up the technician would be there in roughly 20 minutes. Not a big deal for me at all, but I could see how that would be troublesome for others. Very minor complaint for an otherwise excellent experience. The technician who came to our house was friendly, courteous, and explained everything.

I had a Big Deal. He scheduled quickly. There were no additional charges. I liked that they told us what to do ourselves, or if we wanted they could do it. I liked that it saved us money.

They have come twice so far for a mouse problem. Both times they were fantastic - They set numerous traps all around the house and zeroed in on all the best places to trap them. On the second visit they found a few mice in the traps and set down many more traps. We have not seen any evidence of mice since except 3 dead ones in a trap in the garage. We are due for one more visit in our package soon. These people are doing a great job - Much better than other "national name" pest control services. That plus they are professional, pleasant, punctual and relatively reasonably priced. We will definitely use them again.

Sandy sent a tech out this morning by the name of Raoul which was very nice, we started to negotiate and we got down to a very nice and affordable price, and we began to discuss the contract. We started to discuss the pesticides as well and how the injections will affect the air quality? I didn't realize that he was on a headset with Sandy while talking to me about the air quality from the pesticide injections and she at the time wanted to talk to me, so I began to talk to her about staining on the house from Raul's cell and how she is not liable instead of discussing the air quality any further. Me and Raoul begin to talk again and she called back on my home phone stating that she no longer wanting to do work with me because I am asking too many questions, right when I was beginning to sign the contract. She pretty much at this point is refusing to do work with me and begin to get irate and go back and forth with me for about 10 minutes about how her company could never satisfy me and I'm asking for too much and that she had the right to terminate the contract just like I had a right. She also stated that she doesn't care about what I write on Angie's List because she also has a right to respond. I am pretty sure that no matter what I write she will lie and retract what she said and I have two witnesses to back up my review. I have never had such an encounter with a contractor before and she should not be on AngiesList. She was very combative with me and very rude.

Everyone I dealt with was very professional and made me feel very comfortable explaining everything along the way setting the proper expectations and making sure I understood what I was getting for the cost. Sandy was great she provided an estimate that was spot on and made sure I was fully informed and knew what to expect. Mike was very helpful and provided answers to my questions. Matthew was excellent after I showed him where the problem was and gave options to get on the roof, Matthew set up, suited up and got to work. 45 minutes later he was done. Matthew then spent time explaining everything he did and what to expect over the next few days. The price was as quoted. I was very impressed with how professional everyone is and for scheduling me so quickly. My first call was Friday morning and they came out the next day on Saturday

Contacted Michael at Richland Pest & Bee and explained the nature of our problem. Michael briefed me on what they would do, how long it would take, how effective it could be (including the possibility of need for 2nd treatment) and how much it would cost. Matt, one of Michael's crew, came the next morning and treated the nest. By the end of the day bee activity had completely stopped and we've seen none since. Michael, Matt and the office contact were very professional, returned calls promptly, gave us full details of process and expense. Cost was reasonable and we are very appreciative of the fast and effective service. Nice job guys! Many thanks to Michael, Matt and the crew.
