The job completed by JD was extremely professional to say the least.They listened to my ideas first and guided me throughly to the best solution taking into consideration my aesthetic ideas.Their work exceeded our expectations at every level.Their level of professionalism is something that you rarely see these days specially in younger professionals like both of them. Their team of workers are as professionals as well.They are knowledgeable of their work and were always willing to answered all my questions and doubts.They were at our house at the same time every day and didn’t leave until their goal for the day was completed. had these guys pave my driveway over 6 years ago in west hartford, i just moved to wethersfield and my new homes driveway was beat up bad, so i called them again as my old driveway held up well for the past 6 years and they did another great job at my new home even in this hot weather. if you need paving call these guys

These guys just completed my new asphalt driveway and brick pavers patio and front steps with natural stone, where do I start, I had called to receive a quote and was highly impressed with James knowledge and honest advice, once we signed a contract he started around 2 weeks later with his crew who were all polite and friendly, they completed all the work in the timeframe James promised and what impressed me most was there was no rush for money at any stage and actually James didn’t require any payment until the work was finished, me and my wife are really happy and satisfied with the finished work and would highly recommend.

Had them replace my driveway. Careless - Broke sever tree branches, took out a lot more grass area than needed. Spilled asphalt not cleaned up. Spilled oil/gas on new driveway. Dumped dirt behind garage. Incompetent - Did not properly grade driveway leading to large deep puddles in finished product. When I withheld payment they came back and put in a drain across the driveway to deal with drainage. Very sloppy, unprofessional work. Essentially leaving untrained laborers to do the work and then calling it good. Could not pave a straight line except when trying to pave a curved line. A very expensive mistake on my part. Stay far, far away from them!

Awful. Messy work and difficult to get in contact with. Asphalt is already crumbling. Not a professional company.

It was not a pleasant experience. Our walks were not flat and the edges were not straight. There were large gaps between the pavers and the porches (inches) that they were going to simply fill with sand. We are picky people but have had pavers done on previous properties and this work was simply amateur. To their credit they brought in a second crew - the work was better but still not “good”. Finally they brought in a third crew and their work was very good. However, overall I cannot recommend them for pavers. They also left our yard and driveway in a huge mess all summer. They started the job and then would disappear for many weeks. Phone calls would often go unreturned.

JD did a great job! The workers were all polite and professional. They allowed the area to set for an extended period of time to allow proper settling. They arrived when they said they would arrive and the area was was cleaned up each day. They provided great recommendations on the design and the final result is beautiful.

We had a great experience with JD Construction. James Delaney was a pleasure to deal with, professional, courteous and honest. First they marked the driveway, explained in detail how the project will be completed. Showed up on time, Cleaned and hauled away old asphalt and dirt, filled the driveway and left it to settle. The street and the surrounding lawn were left clean of debris and as neat as could be. Then they put in new asphalt and again explained how to care for the new surface, left the area clean, tidy and good looking. Their attention to detail is remarkable. We would recommend them to all our friends!

The masonry work was done well. The crumbling portion of the porch was repaired, the steps were replaced, and all were topped with bluestone. The concrete sidewalk was removed and replaced with one constructed from pavers. I rated them F on professionalism because they tried to sell me work that did not need to be done. They pointed out flaws in the coating on the foundation of the house, told me that they would lead to serious deterioration of the concrete, and offered to repair the foundation for $7,600. I asked a company that specializes in foundation work to give me an estimate, and they told me that the flaws that were pointed out are cosmetic and will not lead to problems with the concrete. No repairs are needed.

Work started right away. They completed their work on schedule and did a beautiful job. Friendly and easy to work with.

James and Tom Delaney are the best! Their whole approach from quoting on the job to the finished product was beyond reproach! The most surprising aspect of the job was they asked for no down payment!!! Once the job was completed and met with our total approval, full payment was made! They're also meticulous in every way! I will recommend JD Construction to all our friends and relations'

Both jobs (new driveway/walkway) and the masonry work in basement were delivered without any delays and look great. The construction team was professional and skillful. They were easy to work with and showed flexibility, when 11th hour adjustments were required.

JD Construction redid my driveway -- expanded it, too, to fit an extra car -- and walkway in August, and I was very happy with the results. My driveway had huge cracks in it (literally, grass growing through), and the walkway to the front door was also asphalt and not very attractive. JD Construction's quote was in the midrange of all of the quotes I got, and they worked with me on the price and payment schedule to make it work. It took a while to get everything going, because of their schedule with other houses, but I'm incredibly happy with the final product. The driveway is smooth and clean, they changed its shape after I requested it during the process, and the pavers are beautiful. Would absolutely recommend folks to call JD if they're looking for similar products.

They did the work and most of the steps are fine, but the top landing has cracks and the concrete is not adhering to the original steps. It's going to flake off. They are not fixing the problem. It's been weeks and multiple calls and it is now clear (after reading other reviews) that they have no intention of fixing it. If they do the job right, then great, but caveat emptor- if you have a problem, they won't fix it. Also, do not pay in cash. Pay by credit so you have some protection.

JD Construction did a great job on my paver wall and walkway. The Mason was very conscientious and was eager to please. They worked hard to get a nice outcome. I wasn't exactly sure what design I wanted, and they helped me with the lines and curves. Looks beautiful.

Work was performed on time. After several months it is clear that the quality is really poor. Stones have moved in several places and the one step has completely come undone making it dangerous to walk up the steps.

The job was competed as planded and we were involved every step of the way. the work was done faster than expected, they left everything clean at the end of the day, and we were extremely satisfied with the quality of the workids the paver walk is gorgeous and removal of the old driveway way was quick and painless. We were very happy with the job and would highly recommend them.
