Pro Painters

The painters were extremely professional and provided great service. They came my house prior to painting to review the work and answer any questions I had. They arrived on time and with their materials. We ran into a problem with the paint I had purchased (not good quality) and they rectified the situation with getting better paint and repainting the problem rooms. Overall I would suggest this company for interior paint service.

They explained everything that would be done and provided a quote and timeframe. All the work was completed as described and done on schedule. The quality was fantastic. We are very happy with the results and would contact ProPainters again for additional work.

They came to look at the rooms I wanted painted and to see the additional work I wanted, promptly on the scheduled date and time. I was given a quote for the additional work which seemed fair. My schedule was open, so I told them to call me when they could fit me in. They came the following week ,after calling me and giving me the start date a few days after their initial visit. They worked efficiently with good quality results. Due to the additional wall prep required, it took more than one day to complete the job. By the end of day one, they had stripped wallpaper, patched the plaster walls, primed and started the first coat throughout both rooms! I was told that they would need another half day to finish up so they returned promptly the following morning and they were finished by noon. They work quickly without sacrificing quality. I do most home improvement projects myself. I had never used professional painters before and their "big deal" definitely won me over. It was great to have the rooms painted so quickly with professional results. I recommend ProPainters and will use them again for other painting projects.

In spite of an emergency that called away the person who gave us the quote, his brother carried out the job on the scheduled dates. He and one assistant did the preparation and painting over two days; we are pleased with the results. In fact, we are so pleased, we have hired them now to paint our kitchen. They were punctual, worked efficiently and put in long days. We bought the paint, moved the furniture, and they took it from there. They cleaned up everything, put back in place switch plates and smoke alarms that they removed from the walls, and were generally neat. The result has been to brighten the house, particularly the heavily-used areas of hallway and stairs.

He gave me a date to meet at the condo for a quote, he arrived on time gave me a quote and told me a date. He called to confirm the day before arriving and arrived on time. They finished the job a day early! We were late about picking out one rooms paint color, and he worked with us until we were satisfied. The condo looks marvelous! He went through the condo with us and made sure we knew where we could purchase more paint in the future if we wanted to.

Mr. Jacob was prompt and professional, and did an excellent job.

They did outstanding work and would highly recommend them.

The painters showed up on time. They painted 2 coats on the walls, ceiling and trim. They were curteous and nice to work with.

Jacob called me the day before to confirm our time and to inform me who he was sending out. Promptly at 8:30 two men arrived and got right to work. They never took a break and worked straight through til 2:00. Everything was given 2 coats of paint and looks great. They were very professional, courteous and hard-working. I highly recommend their services.

I contacted Yakup 1 1/2 months ago, and he has returned my calls, reassuring me that he would be here. I told Yakup that the walls needed priming and he assured me 'it won't be much'; '$50.00'. We finally agreed he would be here on 2/13/12 and 8:30a.m. Yakup called this a.m. (8:30a.m.), giving me 1 1/2 hrs. to run to the paint store and pick out a color immediately; plus cancel a dr's appt. scheduled for this afternoon. He arrived an hour later (11:00a.m.) than he said he would. I did sign up for his 'deal' of $99.00 for a room. I have partial walls in the basement, which was not alot of painting space. He and his co worker did a very nice job. However, after signing the evaluation, Yakup tells me I owe him $125.00 for "the trim" and "alot of cutting in'. He did not give me any indication that he was going to charge me extra. He did complain at one point that he does not make enough and he already painted 4 people's homes today! That had me thinking: did he do the 2 coats? What short cuts did he do? I wouldn't know. I will tell you, signing the evaluation he had with him is different from the one I have presently written on your site.

Yakup was extremely responsive and professional, showing up on time. He and his assistant took good care of our home while working and did a great job. We hired him as part of a promotion that he was running, and were so impressed that we hired him to come back and do three more rooms. (There were a couple of spots that he missed in the bathroom during the first round, which he cheerfully fixed when he returned.) He also helped us find a workman for some sheetrock work that we are doing.

We moved in over Thanksgiving and were trying to get everything finished by Christmas, as we knew relatives would need to stay with us. I called Pro Painters and was immediately put in contact with Jacob. He came to our house that evening to provide us with an estimate! In all, we had three estimates, and Pro Painters was by far the most affordable. They came out on Monday and were finished by Thursday. I was amazed the first day I came home to find that all the wallpaper in all of the rooms had already been removed. They were professional, quick and their work was great. We were very happy with the finished result.

I called for an estimate in December. Jacob drove to Manchester to look over the kitchen walls and ceilings and to discuss costs and labor while evaluating how to patch the cracks in the ceilings. He didn't make unrealistic promises and gave us what appeared to be a fair price for patching the ceilings (a small area in the dining room was included) and painting the entire kitchen. The price of $700 was to include: 1. walls: Jacob felt he'd have to do at least two if not three coats of paint in one color for the walls (we were changing colors) 2. he thought the ceiling might be a problem that could take more than a day 3. the woodwork would be repainted white, it was included in the total because it was not extensive - no baseboards, two small window frames, two doors, three doorjambs to be repainted white. HOW IT WENT: All seemed to go quickly and smoothly. They used one coat of paint. We provided a very high quality paint with primer in it. This was an additional expense on our end that we were willing to do. We were satisfied when the job went quickly and cleanly. .Even though they used only one coat of paint and this saved them much time and labor, we didn't try to renegotiate and lower the original agreed upon price.. RESULT: The ceiling came out level and clean. You can see the patch but overall, we're satisfied. The rest of the kitchen looks good and I have no complaint about the quality of their work - when they do the work. We are not satisfied because the job was not completed. They cleaned up and left at 3:30 the same day even though the woodwork surrounding and the door leading to the basement was more than a 1/3rd undone. I didn't notice until I was cleaning up the next day and ended up painting it myself. EXPLANATION OF MY GRADES: C overall because I did not expect to have to complete the job. I considered the possibility the area might have been missed. But it was the last area of the room being painted. They worked their way to it, then left it unfinished. I'm guessing they wanted to get on the road and didn't think we'd notice because the woodwork was already white, almost matched the newly painted portions, was not in terrible condition and was below eye level. C on cost because the estimate was supposed to include multiple coats. To be honest, I wouldn't have cared about this and would have given straight As including cost had the job been completed. The time saved by our purchasing expensive paint did not benefit us. The next day, I ended up spending over an hour of my time to finish their job. D on responsiveness as they were responsive when here and afterwards, when there was a problem - no response. A punctual A as they arrived on time. B on overall quality of their work. I feel like putting in an F but I don't want to downgrade the quality of the work they did by being unreasonable. The majority of the work was neat and clean. Fair is fair. I just wish they had finished the job. I don't believe they couldn't see it. I know painting and know that even with white on white, it's not difficult to see whether an area has been painted or not. I also know there's the temptation to say to yourself, "whose going to notice?" if you want to stop. When you're doing a DIY, okay - you live with it. But it's not okay for a paid professional. Are Pro Painters quality professionals? I would say that depends on your definition of quality and professional. As much as I liked them I wouldn't recommend, nor would I use them again. I won't work with a contractor who can't be trusted to do what they say they'll do. Contractors work behind the scenes in areas of the house or doing work I can't see or don't know anything about, so I have to rely on not just their expertise, but on their honesty to do the job they say they'll do, have done. When I asked Jacob, "what time do you think you'll be finished?", he replied, "now" and packed up and left. When there was a problem and he was contacted, there was a very odd response. See the last paragraphs of this report. For professionalism - F. Leaving a job unfinished is the height of unprofessional in my opinion. Then not responding to the fact that your client has a problem only drives it home, that they knew they were leaving it unfinished. Anyone who did this mistakenly would have immediately called or emailed to apologize. I cannot recommend Pro Painters. And I would warn anyone considering contracting them that they must go over the finished work with a fine toothed comb. I thought about this for nearly two weeks while I was working on other areas of the house. When I was ready to do my report, I decided to write to Pro Painters to get their side of this. I thought maybe it was a mistake. An apology can go a long way. It had been bothering me...that I had trusted them to do the job, and they didn't. . THEIR RESPONSE TO MY EMAIL came yesterday and I found it VERY ODD. What I got after I wrote them was an ANGIE S LIST note telling me I hadn't "completed" my report for Pro Painters. I was a little confused because I hadn't started writing one so I opened this to see what it was about. Pro Painters tried to write my report for me right after I wrote to them about a problem. All I had to do was click submit. They not only had they completed most of MY report, writing in both areas, giving themselves lots of pats on the back and compliments. AND GAVE THEMSELVES STRAIGHT A's. WOW. I've given them over 24 hours to respond and in response they tried to write a positive report for me. I can write my own report. I've read their response. I know the internet. I'm not a crank or paranoid. My review was waiting for me, mostly done. Weird. I don't know how it got here or who did it, but it was done with lots of straight As.

Jacob and Sean arrived the day before to make sure I had the correct amount of paint. They arrived exactly when they said they would and performed the services they promised. They were both courteous and friendly and completed the job in the amount of time they said it would take.

They were on time courteous and performed the job without complaint.

He came over promptly after we called him to look at the job I had in mind for the Big Deal. I was thinking about doing the job closer to April, when the Big Deal expired, but the employee that came out tried to pressure us into doing the job much sooner, and also to hire him directly, instead of purchasing the Big Deal through Angie's List. The first day he came over, it seemed that the job and the expectations were laid out very clearly, but when he came back the next day with the contract, there was some disagreement as to what the job entailed and what the charges covered. At that point, my husband and I decided not to use his services as things seemed somewhat sketchy from the first interaction.

I am thrilled to find Pro Painters! Last week I responded to an offer on Angie's List - 3 rooms painted for $399.00. Yagup (Jacob) called me immediately to find out when I would like the work done and offered to come as soon as possible, even before the holidays! He arrived promptly to give me an estimate. I decided to have the master bedroom and bathroom painted instead of 3-rooms because the bathroom really needed extra work. This morning Yagup and 2 other men arrived promptly at 8:30. I returned home from work at 5:00 pm to find both rooms all finished, carpet vacuumed and furniture put back in place. I am so excited that this is done before Christmas! Yagup is friendly, polite, professional, his prices are reasonable and he cares about his work. I am sure I will hire him again to paint the kitchen, and maybe in the spring, repair and paint the outside of the house. I recommend him highly - call him!!

Jacob came to our home to provide a written estimate within a couple of days of my initial call. He arrived on-time as scheduled and provided a detaied written estimate. Upon completion of his estimate we had given him a resonable deposit and agreed on a start date. Jacob and Sam arrived each day on-time and worked diligently and professionaly throughout the job. They worked efficently together and their work was very neat. They cleaned up after themselves upon completing each day. When the job was finished, they walked through the house with us to review their work and asked if everything was completed to our satisfaction. I would not hesitate to use Pro Painters again in the future.

They were okay. I would not rate them so high, they were average.

We called Pro Painters at the last minute--we had gone on the final ?walk through? of our new home on 07/14/2011 and were surprised to find that the entire interior needed to be painted before our move in date of 07/31/2011. Immediately after the walk through, I logged in to Angie?s List and started looking for painters. After reading multiple ?A? reviews for Pro Painters, I called them to schedule a consultation. I spoke with Jacob and explained to him that we needed an incredible amount of painting done in a very limited amount of time. This did not faze him, and he and a member of his painting crew arrived at 5 the next day (right on time!) to take a look at the job and give us an estimate and figure out a start-date for the project. Jacob gave us a much lower estimate than we had anticipated, and told us that he could start the project in just 4 days, and finish within a week. We put down our deposit (about $2000, I recall) and agreed to work with Pro Painters. Jacob and his team arrived on time the next Tuesday, and every day thereafter until the job was complete. The team sanded down all of the dark wood trim down to the smoothest finish before being oil primed and painted, and any areas that needed caulking were filled in before painting began. When a contractor who had agreed to remove a chair rail for us and install some trim never showed up to do the work, Jacob and his team agreed to do that for us as well. When we could not find/purchase closet doors that were pre-painted (as we had anticipated), they covered and sealed off our garage, sprayed the doors, and then even installed them for us! We were so thrilled with Pro Painters work ethic, skill, and reasonable pricing that we ended up painting much more than we had originally anticipated. We assumed that by requesting additional painting that the job would take several more days than we had originally planned?nope! The entire job was completed within 8 days. The finished product was incredible. Their work was meticulous?the dark and dingy trim they sanded, primed and painted was now smooth and shiny, their lines were clean and straight, and the walls were uniform and perfectly painted. In just 8 days, Pro Painters entirely transformed our house, and we could not be happier. We have recommended their company to anyone and everyone (even gave their card to our real-estate agent) and will never use anyone else!

.hey were good. They were pretty negotiable. Their price was very competitive. They painted one color for the bathroom but then they re-painted it to the right color that we wanted. I will use them in the future.

Jacob & Pro Painters were very professional and did a wonderful job. They were very punctual and cleaned up daily after they were done. The entire job was done in two days. It was remarkable! I would recommend them to anyone.

They arrived on time everyday. They were neat and considerate of the fine decorations in our house, covering and protecting them from dust and any damage. They painted one hallway further then agreed on because they felt it would blend the paint better, and they did not charge extra for this. When they finished they cleaned up and Jacob did a complete walk through with us to make sure we were happy with their work....We were. This is the second time we have used Pro Painters and we have further work to be done in the house and have already spoken with Jacob to plan to schedule us in in the early Fall.

The over all job was very good. They started with the painting all the ceiling first then the base board and then the upstairs bedroom ceiling.

He was very professional and knew what he was talking about. After a couple weeks he came and performed his services. I was very satisfied with his work and I would definitely use him again in the future.
