+ 0 moreThe windows they put in were fine. The doors they put in were terrible. The actual handle to the door was suppose to be a specific color and it wasn't. The actual paint of the door looks horrible.

+ 0 moreIt was not great. The product itself was fine, but it was working with Home Depot and their managers, the confusion, misordering, and miscommunication, it was pretty bad. We did end up resolving, but I canceled them doing the installation. It was not a good experience.
Description of Work: I worked with Home Depot in Waterford in redoing my kitchen and they contracted the countertop people who did the stone work.

+ 0 moreI have had issues with The Home Depot - Waterford large appliance department. The person I dealt with online, was quite badly informed and I was better informed than that person was. There were serious problems about understanding the installation and removal of the old stove. I requested installation of the stove and removal of the old stove, and the person I spoke to said that was fine and did't say anything else and when the stove was delivered, the people delivering the old stove asked if the old stove was disconnected and I said that no one had said that it had to be, so they said that they can't install it until it is disconnected. I told them that I wasn't advised of that and that was the beginning of a long line. Getting in touch with the people and getting in touch with my gas company. People should be care of their installation and delivery aspect of it. I will use them to purchase things, but I will never use them for the service part.

+ -1 moreI bought a door from them that was totally framed and it actually took more time to put in than the ones that I had to frame myself, but I think it was my wall itself. The cost of the door was fine. We are going to be tiling the bathroom and I am going to be looking at buying the tiles from them. I was getting paint samples and tile samples. I usually do the installation myself. When I went in for the gas, the customer service was much better than it has been ever. So it has been getting better, they have a lot of people there, and they are always asking how they can help, which is the best way as I have been in quality assurance and customer care myself and to ask how they can help is the best way to ask as opposed to if they can help. They have changed their direction and I like that aspect. I met the manager and I am thinking of actually to go and work for them part time. I didn't know he was the manager, which is good, I talked at length with him, and told him I liked the way everyone was helping each other. I would never buy any copper products from home depot, because as soon as I picked a piece of copper and a system there starts beeping, so I would have to go next door and pick up another piece which is annoying, so I told the person that I will not buy anything that is copper. It is assuming that one is going to steal something, that is just bad and so I did not like that. I am going there today.
Description of Work: I use The Home Depot in Waterford to buy things all the time. I last bought some MAPP gas.

Description of Work: The contractor they used did a poor job, in delivery and installation. It took about a month to get the job done to a barely satifactory condition. Home Depot was responsive in getting the contractor to come back and make repairs but the process was long, tideous and the contracted staff was disrespectful. There was no compensation for the extreme inconvenience of this whole experience.

+ 1 moreI use them because they are convenient and the fact that I can find everything at one place. I went there because I knew I could find the things there. They are expensive in terms of contracting. I've gotten prices for installing windows and doors in the past and I find them on the pricey side. I had them quote replacing interior back and French doors and they were really on the high side.
Description of Work: I used The Home Depot for some paint brushes and things that I forgot to pick up the last time I was there.

+ -1 moreThey were unprofessional when setting up the date when they were suppose to show up. When they finely show up they did no eve go up on the roof. All they did was to measure the height and width of the Mobile Home never went up on the roof to see what else was up there. Then gave a price of $8796.00 for a 14w X 80L Home!!
Description of Work: They did not performed the service of putting on my roof because there estimate was why out of wack!

+ -1 moreThey quoted between $15,000 and $20,000. They were very nice and everything went fine. However, the estimate was very similar to the last one that we had done. They were close pricewise. When I was in the Home Depot, their manager approached me and checked with me if I would like to get an estimate for roofing. So, I started it. I felt like we were not in a condition to do it at that time but she was pushy but was very professional. I got the estimate because we would like to do it sometime down the line. They should have just left me alone. I did not like it. They were punctual.

+ -1 moreHome Depot rep came out to our house twice, at our beck and call to go over samples (twice). We settled on the materials and estimate second time. We set a date. Day before the date of construction a dumpster was placed in our driveway. No Problems. 8am: On the day scheduled, guys drove up to our house in the first van and eye balled the house. 8:15a I left the house and was amazed that in 15minutes our driveway was organized with materials. Amazing. 15 minutes??! 10a: The Home Depot rep called us on our cells to check in and give updates. 1pm: I drove up to the house from work to check on the job. The entire roof was replaced. The guys were working on the overhangs... 5pm: I came home from work, job was 100% complete and all messes were cleaned up. Of all the demolition and rebuild, I only found 4 nails laying on my deck. We found NO debris in the driveway and went up and down it three times (I didn't want a punctured tire in our cars, we found NO nails!) Next day: the dumpster was gone by the time we came home. Next day: Home Depot rep called us to check in and find if we had any concerns, questions or problems. Third day: H.D. rep came out in person to settle up and ask if we had any questions or concerns. the job was executed with the trustworthiness and professionalism and quality of workmanship and materials. We're happy. Lesson learned: I should have scoured the dumpster for really nice 100 year old boards that we could have used to build really nice cabinetry. Oh well... lesson learned. Not a real issue though, we're not in the carpentry biz, so no big deal.
Description of Work: We had to have our entire roof replaced due to 100 year old original boards falling apart and creating water damage in our house. We had three estimates. Two roofers came in at around $6,000 without even coming into our home and asking us what we wanted. The 6K est was ONLY for asphalt tiles, not even architectural. Home Depot came in the lowest price for asphalt only, then we built our package from there. We replaced the boards, chose Architectural shinge. Home Depot sub contracts with local roofers who are then charged with performing the job, but during when the job is executed are inspected by both a 3rd party inspecter (GAF) and Home Depot inspectors. The guys were professional, tidy, trustworthy. We signed for replacing ALL boards, even the over hangs, with the caveat that if the overhanging roofs did not need to be pulled, they would subtract the cost of the boards. Trustworthy is the word for Home Depot and their subcontractors. They did not have to replace the boards, they subtracted the cost of those boards. The job was done on a moderately temperate day in February, where we experienced a dry period between snow storms in 2009. I came home unexpectedly to be witness to the job during the day. Their were about 10 guys on the roof. By 1p, it was 5/8's the way done. I was incredulous! They were professional, not stopping to b.s., and they were work horses. The job was done in a day!! The next week, we were pounded with 10 inches of snow. We are really HAPPY we went with Home Depot. We are really happy we did't cave intputting our time and money into local privately owned roofers who do drive-by=guessanomic estimates that were off the charts for our home repair. I'll be choosing Home Depot for any construction in the future, especially remodeling. bye-bye sometimey local contractors who do not have 3rd inspectors sign off their job. Hello Home Depot!

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE VERY FRIENDLY AND VERY TRUSTWORTHY. THEY WERE VERY HONEST IN THE INSPECTION. THEIR PRODUCTS WERE VERY GOOD AND THEY DID VERY CLEAN WORK, NOT A MESSY JOB. THEY DID WORK THAT WAS ONLY NEEDED ON THE ROOF.
