+ -1 moreIn 2016 Jordan Brooks came to our house and trimmed shrubs and installed a Belgian block border around some of our beds. We found the workers to be pleasant, accommodating, and hard working. The price was very reasonable for the work performed. In May/June of 2017 we called to ask for an estimate for more work. No return phone call after repeated (weekly) calls from us. After one month the supervisor called us back and informed us that they would be busy for at least the next ten weeks. Waited until Fall of 2017 and finally got ahold of the supervisor who came out and said work would be better done in the Spring of 2018. We asked when we should call. She replied early March 2018. Call on March 2, 2018 and were informed they would not be open until 19 March. The supervisor emailed us and said she would call us and informed us she would come out to give us an estimate sometime after Easter. Appointment was set for Monday following Easter when it snowed 5 inches that morning. The supervisor called that morning and informed she couldn't come and give us the estimate because of snow. Fine. She said she would check her schedule the following day and give us a call and try to come out later that week (week of 2 April). Never heard back until today, 19 April. The supervisor tried to tell me that she thought my wife was supposed to call her back. Wrong! I told her we were not interested in doing business with them any longer. We feel we wasted an entire year trying to get them out to get some work done. Who runs a business like that? Our gripe with this company is that they are unprofessional. The receptionist can't tell you anything and invariably refers you to the "supervisor" who is very difficult if not impossible to reach. They don't return calls. What do I mean by "professional". Return calls when you say you will. Be honest and straightforward. Don't string customers along. If you're too busy or you have to give priority to contract customers, then say so.
Description of Work: Shrub trimming, laying brick border, dividing perennials, mulching.

Description of Work: I use Jordan Brook Lawn Care and Gardening for lawn and yard work. I have been using them for three years. I pay them annually. They do all the chemicals for the lawn.

Description of Work: Called Jordan Brook to provide estimate on remulching 50' x5' of hillside as well planting 25 5gal pot Junipers. The estimate was high but the landscape horticulturist promised it would be done quickly. Wished to have job done before Mothers' day. I was very specific in pointing out my needs. 1) Real cedar mulch, not the red dyed stuff. 2) The junipers must be the same species as the existing junipers in the embankment region. 3) Call me with a date and time of the job so I would be present. I called several times after the estimate to nail down the time and date of the work. Office receptionist would take a message but on return call back until a week later. The message on my machine said they would come next week. No time. No specific date. The week rolled around and I come home at mid-day to discover the work was done unsatisfactorily. They spread a thin layer of red dyed mulch in the area. They planted the wrong species of junipers in the area, and I was never informed when they would do the job, which would have avoided the mix-up. I complained but since they got my $$, nothing was done about it. About a month later, I notice the vegetation Jordan Brook planted began to die. Again, I took a cutting to show them the problem. After 3 days, the receptionist I called informed me that it was MY FAULT the plants were dying due to lack of water. Impossible conclusion since I installed a drip line around every plant on the hillside and the only ones that died were Jordan Brooks. I had existing junipers that surrounded Jordan Brooks plants and they were fine. Same water treatment, same location area, same hillside slope degree.

+ -1 moreI CALLED SEVERAL COMPANIES TO FIND SOMEONE TO MAINTAIN MY LAWN, AND THIS IS THE ONLY COMPANY THAT RESPONDED. THEY ARE VERY FRIENDLY AND I PLAN ON USING THEM IN THE FUTURE.
