M&J Roofing did a great job on my chimneys. They look better than before and I'm not worried about leaks anymore.

Louie was great from start to finish. The job was completed in two and a half days exactly what was quoted. Louie's team was punctual and very professional. They were careful to drape work areas and clean up completely at the end of the day. For no extra cost Louie rebuilt our chimney. Louie made sure were very satisfied with the work. We paid exactly what we were quoted with extras. Very positive experience!

Very well. He showed up as promised. I liked the fact that he isolated the problem and suggested repairs in a way that would keep costs reasonable. The work he did very professional.

This one day project went exactly as planned based on what I had read from prior reviews. It started with my first contact with Louie about 2 weeks ago. No middle person, no leave a message. We set up an appointment for him to come to my house and give me an estimate on replacing my 30 year old roof. He called me about a half hour before our appointment to let me know he was on his way and he was right on time. He brought copies of his insurance certificates. We talked about the details and he suggested that I might want to consider replacing my 50 year old gutters at the same time the roof was being replaced, and the benefits of doing it at the same time as the roof instead of a later date. No pressure, just a suggestion. This was not something that had been suggested by the roofers I had already gotten estimates from. I asked him to give me a price for doing the roof and gutters and the price for just the roof. I told him I wanted to think about it over night and that I had already gotten estimates from other roofers. I called him the next morning to let him know that I wanted his company to replace the roof and gutters and we set up a time that evening for him to come back to my house to sign the contract. Once again, right on time. We set a date for the work to be done, about 10 days out. Louie offered dates that were sooner but they didn't fit into my schedule. The job was scheduled for a Monday. Louie called the Friday before to let me know that he and his crew would be at my house at 8am on Monday, as we had agreed. The day was hot and pretty humid, a tough day to be doing outside work. Louie, hands on, and his crew busted their tails getting the old shingles off and getting the new roof on. The gutter crew arrived at about 2pm and completed their work in about 2 hours. The roof was done by around 4 pm and there was about an hour clean up. Everything was perfect. I can't say enough about Louie and how he handles himself. Humble guy, proud of his company and the work they do, as he should be. Professional, courteous, meticulous, respect from all crew members. Mike even speaks 7 languages. Great crew. What a great day. I would highly recommend M & J Roofing to anyone.

Oh, my gosh! You don't find companies like this much any more. Mike and Nick are pulling out of my driveway as I write this -- that is how impressed I am; I want to get this review up right away!!! So here's the story... I called to get a quote on what I thought was a leaking vent pipe. Louie came out and looked, and saw that the metal around the pipe had been nailed into when it was installed, which was likely the cause of the leak in the upstairs bathroom ceiling. He quoted $1,200 to do the work, which was much more reasonable than the $1,850 I was quoted from a handyman (not even a full time roofer!) for the same job. But he also told me if the roof was newer (and it was, but the previous homeowner had it installed), the company that put it on should do the work for free. Well?right?but they wouldn't even return my phone calls! So I arranged for M&J to do the job. When Mike and Nick came to do the work today, Mike found there was a leaking pipe inside. So he replaced that, as well as the vent pipe and shingles. Mike then noticed one of the steps on my deck needed to be fixed, and he did that, too! Once the work was complete, I talked to Louie on the phone about the total cost. He said, "It's $1,200." I said, "No, Mike also had to replace the pipe inside." But Louie said he was just charging the $1,200. As I said before, you don't find companies like M&J very often. They are hardworking, honest, clean, and respectful. They obviously care very much about their work and their reputation. They went above and beyond, and I cannot recommend them highly enough! Thank you, Louie, Mike, and Nick! You're my heroes!!!

Completely recommend! I chose M & J Roofing, because they seemed down to earth and their prices were very reasonable. I also liked that they are a family run business. They accommodated me by working on the roof a weekend I would be away. They did an excellent, quality job. I ran into an issue a couple years later with a vent pipe too close to the gutters causing an ice dam issue. I left them a message and they responded right away. They went on my roof to temporarily solve the problem during the winter months (free of charge) and came back in the warmer months to move the vent pipe back away from the gutter. They also suggested that the gutters get screens as they were full of debris. They did this additional work for a more than reasonable price. I dealt with Jason initially when contracting the job. I dealt with his brother, Louie, the second time. Both are very nice and as Louie said "Don't worry, we'll take care of you." They really did. Also, it was their brother-in-law that worked on the vent pipe and gutters the second time who says he loves roofing. Can't get better than a family business that loves what they do and it shows. Nowadays, it is hard to find roofing contractors who don't subcontract out. I interviewed three other roofers before choosing M&J. Very pleased!

Jason came out to provide an estimate. He was unfazed by considerable carpentry needs. We settled on architectural shingles ("lifetime" -- 40 year warranty) to be installed over a full water barrier. Jason suggested flat skylights including one with a solar powered shade, which would have been a cost savings over the molded ones we had. In the end, we decided to go with skylights matching the ones being replaced. This added to the cost of the job and extended the time frame for completion in that two of the skylights were large and needed to be specially ordered. The crew began the job when promised and completed all aspects within a reasonable time frame. They were respectful of the property and collected refuse into a dumpster or kept it and new materials collected in circumscribed areas. What was most impressive was their thoroughness and attention to detail.The workmanship of the carpentry was excellent. Areas were reinforced where indicated and in every instance repairs and replacement included bordering and enclosure beyond what was needed but that upgraded the appearance and sealed off areas where gaps might be breached over time. Seven skylights were installed, flashed and sealed with professional care. Jason had the crew flash over the existing flashing of the one skylight "system" that was not replaced. The low pitched roof area of the house, breezeway and garage was covered with two layers of roll, adhesive roofing which was run up along and under the siding on the house so that no water could infiltrate over time along seams at the edges. The architectural shingles were installed efficiently and look really good. The vapor barrier was brought over the roof edge and attached under metal trim. All of the gutters and downspouts were replaced with screened units and connections to the existing french drains on one side of the house were upgraded and made more efficient. All in all, I am extremely pleased with the work done by M & J Roofing. Jason, Louie and "Mikey" are personable and professional to deal with and at least one of them was always present and working with the crew and/or supervising. This is a solid and professional organization and I recommend them highly and without reservation.

M&J were excellent; I would certainly use them again, or recommend their services to a friend. The work was done quickly and professionally. They were polite, smart and cleanup after themselves. At the estimate stage Louie gave me a thorough review of the problem and the work that need to be done. When they were doing the job, they kept me in the loop, showed me pictures of the issue (I wasn't about to climb on the roof) and how they did the repair. They even checked the other chimney and did some remedial work, gratis.

M&J did a great job. It is truly a pleasure working with a contractor like M&J. They actually performed the work sooner than expected and at the amount quoted! M&J works very hard to satisfy the customer - they keep the customer informed regarding progress, they are careful not to damage private property, they properly install quality products, and they perform a thorough clean-up returning the property to a condition as good, if not better, than it was before they arrived. It is very obvious that M&J takes pride in the work they do.

Jason and Louie worked with us on initial estimate and quote for the work. They were punctual and professional. The price for the job was fair and considering the quality of the materials used, and the warranty with labor, they were by far the best value, plus they were honest and helpful with selections of materials, colors, etc. On the install, the entire crew arrived on time, got right to work and completed the entire job in one day. Quality of the work was excellent. Final price was as originally quoted. They took their time cleaning up and left everything immaculate. Would definitely recommend these guys.

I highly recommend M & J Roofing. It was great working with Louie. Jason and Jouie are both respectful and caring people and great at what they do. Our roof had a lot of problems and needed a lot of work as well as our chimney and gutters. Louie was very patient and kind when he was explaining what needed to be done. His knowledge was very reassuring. As they went along they always explained what they were doing and why. Louie or Jason were here every day. Thew whole work crew was polite and respectful. They left the property clean every day. Everything came out BEAUTIFUL! It was nice working with people who take pride in their work. M and J Roofing is an outstanding company and I would recommend them to everyone.

Louie Ibraimovski from M&J Roofing was highly professional throughout all interactions. He was punctual for all appointments (estimates, follow-up, days of construction). I chose him for this job because his estimate was competitive and his responses timely. I appreciated that he voluntarily provided proof of liability and workman's comp insurance at the time he submitted his bid. He supervised his crew appropriately while on the job. He and his crew took the time to carefully prep the site and successfully minimized damage to the landscape and gardens - impressive, given the logistics of the job. While inspecting the 80-year-old chimney, he identified substantial damage and safety hazards. He was able to bring a mason in to redesign and rebuild a substantial part of the flues and chimney. It now looks better than ever, and at an additional cost that appeared highly reasonable, given the extent of the work. Clean-up was very good. Overall, a highly pleasant experience with a competent company.

Right from the beginning, I felt this was a first class operation. Louie returned my initial call within an hour and made an appointment to provide an estimate for the work within a couple of days and showed up on time. He ensured me that he would be available to answer any questions I had after he left and in fact, answered the phone every time I called. After having approximately 6 roofing companies provide me with an estimate, even though there were others who quoted lower estimates, I had very positive feelings about Louie and scheduled the work. Louie was able to schedule a date within a week on the following Thursday. When the previous job he was working on was not timely completed, Louie called me to explain the delay and postponed my roof until that Saturday. He and his crew appeared Saturday morning and worked their butts off all day Saturday and Sunday and got the job completed. They were all professional, courteous, kind, and social. They were meticulous and methodical--they are all obviously very skilled at what they do and know how to do it well. There is a lot of debris in removing old shingles and wood, and lots of sawdust, yet when they left, there was not any trace of anything around. I cannot say enough about Louie and his team and would highly recommend him!

M&J provided excellent service. Phone calls were returned in a timely fashion. Appointments were kept. Very professional experience. The work was completed in one day. All work was excellent. The owner clearly takes pride in his work. The owner took the time to explain all aspects of the work and exactly what would be completed. It was a pleasure working with them. I would highly recommend this company.

I was worried about the roof leaking because it was flat, but even after the extreme winter we had the roof still looks good and there are no leaks. They did a great job.

M&J Roofing exceed our expectations. The company and its employees were PROFESSIONAL to the T. Initial consult was clear and concise. The main house and garage roofing was installed within 12 hours. AMAZING! Our lawn was even vacuumed so that there wasn't a hint of old roofing material or debris left behind. Our neighbors even commented on not only the speed but the beauty of the new roof. M&J came at 7:30 am. complete with a crew of 5 men. Each employee was professional and curious. This entire experience was seamless.

Louis happened to be coming nearby for another job, so he came by the same day to investigate the damage. After I described the problem, he recommended a solution that was unfortunately outside the scope of work that M&J offers. Louis told me that M&J could repair the damage, but a better, longer-term fix should be performed by another type of contractor. I should also mention that the fix he recommended will be less expensive than the one he could have offered. I really appreciate such honesty and integrity. When I have roofing issues in the future, I will definitely call M&J.

M & J Roofing did an excellent job replacing the roof at my home. Very impressed on the efficiency and professionalism of their crew, how well they cleaned up around the house upon job completion. Louie & Jason were very easy to work with, they were attentive and caring. They patiently addressed all my questions and concerns and followed through. They are good honest people who stand by their work. It is not everyday that you come across a company like this. I liked them so much that I asked them what other services they provided. I ended up having them replace all the gutters at the house and some chimney repointing. I highly recommend them, they were a pleasure with work with.

In addition to the new roof and Installation which was done in 2010 - the reason for this review is to note the personal service offered by M&J's follow up to a service call. Louie a member of the M&J Team went beyond all expectation when I called about a potential water leak. Louie called several times to confirm appointments as well as to apologize when they were running late. Turned out the water was not due to a roof issue but a plumbing problem. Even after Louie's efforts and was told that it was not a roof issue he called again just to be sure all was right. Service was outstanding !!

We were stupid. Louie and his team replaced our roof in Jan 2014 and told us to make sure to rake snow off of our flat roof especially but also to try and prevent ice dams. We did not and in Feb 2015 we had a leak from our flat roof. We noticed it at 4AM on a weekday and called Louie to leave a message and get some prompt attention. He called back at 5AM and was at our house by 7AM the same day. We did not expect or ask for this kind of attention. He cleaned off the flat roof and then cleared some areas on the rest of the roof to encourage melting ice to go around ice dams. No charge! He showed us what he did and told us to get a roof rake. Then he offered to have his team come out in the next few days to remove all of the snow from the roof for a very reasonable price. We jumped on the offer and his team came out 2 days later. They tried to come out the next day but it snowed again. On the day they came out we were dreading coming home to piles and piles of snow and ice surrounding our house that we would have to remove. Imagine how elated we were when we saw that not only was out roof spotless but the cleared a path all of the way around our house so we could get to all of our doors and our oil and propane tank. Shoveled right down to the ground. We are so impressed with Louie and his team. They have consistently gone over and above what we could possibly expect. We are very grateful to them for helping us out but also for not making us feel stupid for getting ourselves in the predicament in the first place. Very kind and respectful. We highly recommend them for any roofing job.

I am 81 years old and thought that I would never experience again what I remembered in the years past as good old fashioned not only Customer service but Customer caring combined with skill and professionalism. Well M&J proved to me that even in todays world of mostly sterile technological impersonal customer service and contact that--- ALL the good business qualities and skills of the past can still survive today. ,-- they are embodied in M&J roofing!! My rating speaks for itself. The details are irrelevant except to say that --everything that was done, the way it was done and especially the people who did it, -- renewed my faith that the best of the service qualities and skills of the past have been preserved and combined with the technology of today by M&J Roofing. I'm really late writing this review. First of all, we appreciated the fact that M & J was willing to come by the house and leave a quote for us without requiring us to be there. We both work, so scheduling a meeting time was difficult and we had to give up on one contractor for that reason. We needed to coordinate the roofing project with a new driveway that we were having installed. We didn't want to have trucks and a dumpster parked for a couple of days on new asphalt. M&J was very accomodating and came to replace the roof on a weekend well before the paving company came back to complete the driveway. We were very pleased with the speed and efficiency. Everything was cleaned up and the dumpster was removed as soon as the job was completed. I'm writing this review on 3/6/2015 because I discovered a leak in our garage this morning. The leak was caused by an ice dam in the gutter resulting in a large build up of snow on the garage roof. I called M & J and they came right out to break up the ice dam and remove the snow. The leak stopped almost immediately.

This contractor was excellent throughout the entire process. The manager Louie was courteous and professional. He returned all calls and gave me a fair price. His workers were technically proficient and took care and pride in their work. I was working with another contractor initially to replace a chimney cap and flashing. They quoted me $3,400. M&J came and said they'd do it for $2,500. When they arrived, the chimney turned out to be falling apart and there was nothing holding the chimney together. Instead of cement inside the chimney, there was just loose rocks. M&J rebuilt the whole chimney for $5,500. Not a bad price and we have an entirely new chimney. Flashing, shingles, flue tiles, cap, bricks... everything. it was 2 days of work for two guys. It looks great, I would use them again with no hesitation.
