The whole job went extremely well. Louie responded to my call almost immediately and visited our home the next day to assess the job and give us an estimate. Once I accepted the bid, his installer "Mike" was at our home the following day. Mike and his helper -- his home-schooled teenage nephew, Nicki -- did an excellent job. They were on time at 8:00 AM, and done as projected by mid-afternoon. The area was thoroughly cleaned as well -- I've not found a single piece of debris from what is usually a messy job. I would highly recommend M&J Roofing!

I called M&J for an estimate on re-roofing our detached garage. Initially didn't get a call back but after a second attempt I received a fairly quick response. They ended up being the middle price of three estimates I received. I found the price quotes for a small roof in general to be higher than expected. Their price was much less than a competitor for the same level of work. They scheduled the work quickly, and the crew showed up and finished in one day. They were clean working, professional, and did a nice job on the project. I never felt like they tried to upsell me anything unnecessary, and they had a nice eye for detail, changing the color of the drip edge from the original because it would look better. The only comment I have is that I am not sure they mixed the packs of shingles up randomly enough. From a certain angle you can see patches of color variation, probably from different lot #'s of the shingles. A minor issue that is only visible under certain conditions. I would still use them again for future roofing projects.

Louie Ibraimovski and his workers did a fantastic and thorough job at our home in Kent, Connecticut. Our old roof had begun to leak in several spots here and there, and it was time to replace it. This area receives heavy snow in the winter, up to two feet or so during the worse storms, so the roof gets a lot of wear and tear. Mr. Ibraimovski was one of three bids we solicited from different roofers, and his was in line with one other bid. The third bid was 25 percent higher, even when using the same shingles. Our roof has many dormers and different levels. Also, our home is large, with two floors and an attached garage, which also has the same roof as the main house. Once we signed a contract, it took M&J Roofing roughly four weeks to order the shingles and start on the project. At every point, Mr. Ibraimovski kept me informed and was a thorough professional. He is easy going and precise, and I enjoyed interacting with him. Once they started working on our roof, the entire job, a big one, was done in about six days. And the results were stunning! Every thing was done exactly as I expected. I checked the different roof lines and new tiles with binoculars and through windows on the second floor. Really, a first-class job. I would not hesitate to use M&J Roofing again. After the job was done, I noticed that the metal screens which I had on gutters were not there anymore. I talked to Mr. Ibraimovski, and that day he had a crew come back and install new metal screens on the gutters (at no extra charge), which of course were perfect. He is a meticulous contractor, exactly the kind you would want on the job.

The roofing job went great. We called a few companies and got the lowest price from M & J Roofing LLC. They also have the best reviews, so it was an easy decision to go with them and I am glad that we did. The job was done quickly and looks amazing. They came with a dumpster and cleaned up all of their trash. We already hired them to repair a roof on our other three family and got an unbeatable price. I highly recommend them and will use them again.

M&J Roofing did an excellent job. Louie and his crew were professional, meticulous and efficient. The roof was done in one day and the gutters in the following half-day. The crew worked very hard, and Louie checked the progress of the job several times every day. At the end, they cleaned up, and the yard and the terrace were spotless. What distinguishes this company from other contractors we worked with is their efforts to do the best job possible, and their excellent customer service. Both Louie and his crew were polite, attentive and always on time. Before we hired them, Louie inspected the roof and took pictures of it, explained different possible solutions and answered all our questions patiently. He was also very flexible and made an effort to schedule the job around our travel plans. Overall, a very good experience. We will recommend this company to our friends and neighbors with no hesitation.

Louie and his team were very professional throughout the entire process. Upon inspecting our roof he pointed out an installation defect (prior owner) that was the cause for ice/water infiltration during cold months. M&J provided an estimate and a competitive price. When the arrived for the job they were on-time, professional, hard-working and polite. Louie was there himself as promised. The completed the job ahead of schedule and cleaned up so that you wouldn't even know they had been there. With all the rain we had over the past week, the roof has held up. The winter will be the true test but M&J provided a competitive warranty and will stand by their work. Not anticipating any problems and will use them again to re-roof the front of our house when $ permits.

I selected M&J roofing for several reasons: Positive reviews on Angies's list, good pricing for the job, but most importantly customer service. Louis was in contact with me directly, and was very willing to work with me to accommodate a tricky roof situation. Louis designed a custom solution for our roof, and was very patient and thoughtful when answering all of our questions. We have a contemporary home with a complicated roof and really appreciated Lou's approach to problem solving even in advance of getting our business. When the team showed up, they all worked very hard to get the job done. These guys worked well together as a team, got the site prepped and cleaned up well. Because of some less than positve experiences with other contractors, I asked Lou if he was going to be at the house for the entire project and he said he would be. He climbed on the roof more than once to check out the condition of the roof, and the progress. When he got called away for a while, he made sure to let me know, and told me how long he would've gone, and when he would be back. Most importantly, Lou gave us a 10 year guarantee on workmanship and assured us we could contact him with questions or concerns at any time. I was very happy with the service provided all around.

ntialEarly in the morning we found dripping from the ceiling in our office via a leak in the attic (heavy rain all night with a forecast is rain for the next 6 days made me extra nervous about this). I called M&J very early, left a Message and got a call back from Louie very quickly. He was at my house in under 2 hours and from there quickly diagnosed the issue as a bulging nail under some shingles. A few minutes later I was all sealed up and the attic is dry! I know who I'm calling when it's time to do our roof! Thank you Louie!

Louie did a great job diagnosing our old, 2 layer of shingles, roof and provided an estimate that was dead on right. Compared to other companies, he actually went up on the roof and poked around quite a bit. Others were just using satellite images for estimates. His team was professional, cleaned up every day, and had the whole job done in two days. They even called us to let us know they would be 15 minutes late. What contractor does that? The price was competitive to two other bids we received and it was Louie's personal touch and responsiveness that won them the job. We could not be happier with the outcome. If I have to spend this kind of money on the house, it was at least a pleasure have Louie and team getting it done.

I am extremely pleased with my experience dealing with both Jason and his brother Louie of M & J. They and their crew, that worked on my job, displayed competence and a desire to do an excellent job, they succeeded. I took the time to meet several roofers when researching the job,and I had the good fortune to have met several roofers who impressed me, but Louie clearly was my first choice because of the knowledge and gentleness that he displayed the first time I met him. He was comfortable with my many questions and concerns, and was able to convince me that he both had the knowledge and experience and willingness to deal with the the potentially hidden issues that were the basis of my concerns. I asked about payment schedule, and when the job might be done. I asked how long he anticipated the job would take, I asked how long a dumpster would be present and where it would be placed and when and where the material would be delivered. In addition I asked if he would be on the site for the duration of the job. Louie answered that the job would be done in approx two weeks, would be done in one day, that they owned dumpsters on a trailer and it would arrive on the day and be gone at the end of the day of the work. He answered that materials would be delivered just prior to the job being done and we worked out an acceptable location to place the delivery. In addition he stated that either he or his brother Jason would be on the job site for the duration of the job. Jason, who was such a wonderful person and a pleasure to have around, was present through the duration of the job. I have a beautiful new roof that addressed each of my concerns about hidden issues and I am confident that I did a great job choosing both Jason and Louie of M & J Roofing to do the job. They exceeded my expectations in every way.

We have used this company before to replace and install a brand new flat roof on our house. We were so pleased with the job they did on our roof that we called them back to install nine new solar powered skylights. They are honest, hardworking, and conscientious. There is an area in our home with high ceilings that was always hot and needed ventilation. M & J suggested the location and size of the new skylights. They did a great job. Problem solved! The room is now cool and comfortable with fresh air everywhere. We then had M & J replace skylights that were old and never opened. All the work was flawless and went very well. I would strongly recommend this company. They are the absolute best. They are a model for excellent business practice. A wonderful experience. Again, they are the best!

These guys are the best! I manage an apartment community that was built in the forties. The minute I have a roof issue I call them. They come so fast and do the job right so I never have any more issues. I will continue to use them as issues arise.

If it were possible to give 10 stars I would. M&J were responsive and came immediately when I called with a leak in my roof. They worked closely with my insurance company and sent pictures and were they were needed. When the roof went on they worked 13 hours the first day, they cleaned up and left the area spotless. They were kind and courteous, thoughtful and professional beyond belief. The work was completed faster than I had thought and the cleanup perfect...I do not hesitate in recommending them to anyone

This is the first time we have used Angie's List and we couldn't be happier. We chose this company based on the great reviews previous customers had given. Jason and Louis were wonderful to work with as they were very prompt, dependable, knowledgeable and extremely courteous. Jason took his time explaining the process and recommended some changes to improve the design. They replaced our entire roof and our neighbors were amazed that they were able to get it done in one day. We were away while the work was performed and when we arrived home they had done an excellent job of leaving our property immaculate. The next day Louie stopped by to make sure everything was satisfactory and answered all our questions. We would highly recommend them.

M&J Roofing was very courteous, fast, professional, and responsive throughout our entire project. I was not only impressed with the meticulous manner in which the roof was installed, but also with the attention & care given to ensuring all waste materials were thoroughly cleaned up. When providing the estimate, Louie estimated the entire job could be completed in one day. On the scheduled day Louie & his crew arrived on time and made super progress - and Louie even brought in a second crew to help complete the job when rain threatened before the entire roof installation was complete. And in addition to installing the roof, Louie?s guys repitched several gutters to obtain better waterflow & installed leaf-screens to minimize ongoing gutter maintenance. Overall, our project was an excellent experience where Louie, M&J, and their crews demonstrated exemplary workmanship and exhibited a very strong desire to satisfy their customer. This is a very large house, 3,200 square feet with a very steep pitch to the main house as well as the garage. They have a dumpster that never comes off a trailer and can not damage the driveway. When they were done there was not one nail or piece of shingle left behind. Most of the houses in our neighborhood are 25-30 years old and I have seen many get new roofs over the past few years. I can say that none were done with more care to the surrounding property or with as little disruption to life in the house. I used to be in construction as a younger man and have never seen harder workers. This was a huge job and the fact that they could get it done in 3 days was incredible. And yet there were no corners cut. Everything done was to the highest standard and better than what was original to the house. I was there for the whole process. The ice barriers were twice what code requires and attention to details was everywhere. Our house looks better now then it did when new. As far as price, we got quotes from other contractors who promised Free gutters with purchases over $25,000. They made sure that their quotes hit that price. With M&J Roofing you do not get the free stuff because their work speaks for itself and they do not pad their price to cover the "free stuff." Louie Ibraimovski was a pleasure to work with and his crew were the hardest workers I have ever met. I was blown away by the quality of the job and the price as well. I would welcome anyone to drive by my house to see this incredible job. Foget the guys with all the mailers and coupons for free stuff and get what you pay for with M&J.

Louie handled the whole process, from start to finish, extremely professionally. It began with a good and thorough assessment of our existing roof, which was leaking in places. Louie pointed out how the roof was not installed correctly to begin with - with specific things M&J would do differently. I received an estimate for a repair vs. a new roof and opted to go with a new roof. Louie plus a team of 5 showed up on the agreed upon date, weather permitting - and they went to work. 12 hours later, they were finished. They worked quickly and efficiently and then cleaned up very well. The next day Mike showed up to finish up a few minor things. They supplied rake board and a new downspout at no additional charge. Plus they did some touch up painting, also at no additional cost to me. This is my 4th house but my first time putting on a new roof. Obviously a big expense. I would recommend this company to anyone considering a new roof or a roof repair. The work and the people are first-rate. to

For over a year I had a slow leak in my kitchen, I called several plumbers and roofers to try and find out what the problem was. Without spending much time assessing the situation, they all had their own ideas of what was wrong. Some made quick fixes that they charged me for; none of which worked. Then I called M& J Roofing. Louis was very responsive, He came out right away (and was very punctual) He spent a long time looking at the house and discussing my problems. He told me what would and would not work. I felt, for the first time, that I was finally dealing with someone who I could trust and I hired him to replace my roof and install a new skylight and new gutters. (His estimate was comparable to other quotes I had rec'd, but I felt his approach and quality of materials was superior). Their crew came as scheduled and worked a 12 hour day to get the roof completed in one day. (we had 3 inches of rain the next day, so I was thankful for that). I watched them as they worked and was very pleased with what I saw. They were very patient with me as I asked them questions during the process. The type of skylight I had installed was different from the original one I had. Once replaced, I was in need of some carpentry to fix the molding. Louie and Jason returned 2 days later and built a box which they put up into the window to finish it off. Very nice!! At the end of the work, Louis walked around the house with me to make sure I was happy with everything. When I pointed out a few minor things, He got up on the roof immediately to do some caulking and even doing some touch up painting for me because he didn't want me standing on a ladder and doing it myself.(a real gentleman) . They require no up front payments becasue they want to make sure you are happy with their work. I think anyone who hires them will be very happy. Please hire them!!

This company is top notch- they are punctual, they keep their appointments, and they are very competitive in pricing. Certain changes were recommended by them and after due consideration we went with their recommendations as they established, early on, that they could be trusted and they knew what they were doing. Louie, the contractor who gave the original estimate, actually came after the roof was completed and inspected it himself. He took the time to examine the entire job. It has been a long time since we have felt such confidence in any contractor- we would recommend this company without reservation. We had selected shingle colors and Louie advised us to go with another color- and his advice was excellent. Had we gone with the color we originally wanted the roof would have been much too dark. We were very pleased that he took the time to work with us, to reassure us, and to personally oversee the job from start to finish.

M&J was professional from start to finish. Promptly responding to a request for a quote, scheduling the repair, showing up and completing it when promised and doing a great job on a challenging project.

Louie was prompt, He did a temp solution during winter to prevent further damage to my property due to leak in the shingles, This Summer he & his crew returned back to complete the job with permanent fix.

I previously had M&J repoint and refurbish my chimney, and this winter they removed ice dams and shoveled my roof.( You may review my previous comment on their work here on the list). Based on their past performance I contracted for a new roof to be installed. I April they did the job, and I can enthuastically say I experienced there continued reputation of --" excellence of product installation and customer service and consideration". There was not only the attention to detail but Jason himself was on the job continually updating me and making sure I was pleased or had any questions or request as they progressed. I was not an attitude of - get the job done and move on, but an attitude they expressed in a personal pride in their work and in your satisfaction,-a rare quality these days. What even enhanced there attitude of performance and service was that a couple of weeks later I called Jason to say I discovered water leaking behind my gutter over a living room window. This was puzzleing to him and me, but he immediately came out. We discovered that it was not a roofing problem, but that in the weeks since the roof was installed my gutter had blocked from pine needles.--Despite it not being his problem he cleaned the blockage and even installed some additional gutter hangers where the water backed up causing the leak. ---How's that for customer service - beyond expectations !! I will use M&J any time and every time I ever need any service they can provide!
