We are very impressed with the professionalism of this company. Louie came out to evaluate our roof the day after I called. We have had many contractors come over to give estimates on the job, and he was the first one to actually go up on the roof and thouroughly inspect it, vs. relying just on the satellite measurements. He found the source of an intermittent leak around our chimney, which turned out to be a crack at its top. (we had previously paid someone else to fix the problem, which was misdiagnosed as compromised flashing at its base). We have a huge, steeply pitched roof with 4 skylights that were original to the house. Louie recommended their replacement to minimize the possibility of a failure a few years from now. He priced this in at his cost, which seems correct, as it was far less than the prices other roofers quoted to replace them. The job was done with top grade GAF materials and performed an less than a week, including a rainy wash out day. The chimney repair was done with care and included sealing it and adding a custom made copper reinforcement to its top. Its base was redone to a much higher standard than the prior, ineffective work from another provider. All the valleys and bottoms of the roof were done with generous amounts of ice and water guard and the "felt" used was of the high tech, breathable type. The job site was cleaned up at the end of each day, and all the members of the crew were friendly and amazingly hard working. The price quoted was in line, or slightly lower than the other estimates we received. Most amazingly, Louie wanted full payment at the end of the job. He did not want a partial deposit prior to its completion. I think that speaks to his confidence in customer satisfaction. We highly recommend M&J roofing.

I was extremely impressed with the professionalism showed by M&J. They constantly were in contact with me regarding scheduling. They arrived when the said they would, did nothing but work when they arrived and finished the project in less than two days. They were very conscientious about cleaning during and after the process. You couldn't tell from the way they left the yard (clean-up) that they had been on the property for two days.

This is the second time that we have called this company and Louie has come out to help with our roof, and every time we are so impressed by the professionalism. He did some caulking for loose shingles that were poorly installed by a previous roofer to buy us some time to budget for a more permanent fix in the future and charged us nothing, just told us that he was always available should we need anything in the future. I still wouldn't call anyone else and I continue to highly recommend this company and Louie!!!

Estimate performed the day of, or the day after, initial inquiry. We unexpectedly had to change repair dates; they were flexible and accommodating. Excellent customer service. Available to answer questions at all times. Professional, reliable, hardworking team completed the work in 2 days. We would definitely hire them again.

Louie and his crew were fantastic! From beginning to end, Louie was thorough -- he did a detailed assessment and answered all my questions. My elderly mother was very anxious about having work done on her house, and Louis took extra care to stay in touch with both my mom and myself throughout the process, even taking the time to stop work and go check in with her several times to make sure she was comfortable, and to explain to her where they were in the process. This company's work was top notch, and unlike so many companies, they did a great clean-up job! I couldn't find a single wayward nail! Humaneness is a big concern of mine, especially since fall is when squirrels have a second litter of babies, often in people's attics. Louie was entirely receptive to using humane methods to evict any squirrels found in the attic --and to work with me to make sure the babies would get out with their mom -- before proceeding with any work. Louie also made sure we filled out our lifetime guarantee and got the papers in. Overall, I can't recommend this company more highly! They did the job exactly as they said they would, on time, and in a very professional manner, along with going beyond the call of duty to ensure my mom and I felt comfortable and filled in all along the way. They were sensational! Wonderful! They were clean and neat, and there was much less noise than I thought. I thought there would be a lot of people tramping through the house to use the bathroom, but no - they did not come in the house and they were much quieter than I thought. The roof looks beautiful and we're very happy with them. Their clean-up was good and we were very, very pleased, and that's important.

Louis and his team were fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. I had them replace five skylights on an addition to my house. Their work was meticulous and came out great. Louis was very easy to work with, responsive to any questions, and clearly explained every detail to me. He earned my trust when he suggested that I get other quotes to make sure that I felt comfortable before hiring him. Sure enough, he was the best price and the most thorough. They did a great job on my roof and came in at or under budget. I already hired them a second time to complete a patch on a different area of my house. You can feel comfortable using M&J.

These guys were awesome. The appraiser was to the point and explained exactly what needed to be done. He made recommendations that would be cost efficient for the job. The two guys who came to do the project were friendly and worked efficiently. Great value for the job that was done. Highly recommended for any roofing needs.

Louie was fantastic to work with. He was punctual, polite, climbed on the roof (which no other contractor would do), patiently answered all my questions, and gave me a reasonable quote before he left. He even nailed down a few loose shingles while he was on the roof! Louie said he would call as soon as the weather was good enough to work safely, and he did. The supervisor took pictures of every step showing the work they did. Louie stopped by the job to make sure everything was going well. The crew was large enough that the entire roof was done in one day! It was a painless and pleasurable experience. He, and his crew, did a fantastic job.

This was the second time I'd hired Louis' team, and again they did an exceptional job--- they promptly came to measure everything and quote the job, they showed up on time each day, they have wonderful personalities and were easy to interact with, and the custom roof deck looks as though it belongs in Better Homes & Gardens. The roof deck space looks 1000% better. I'll definitely use M&J if I have a roofing issue in the future.

M & J Roofing was extremely responsive and professional. Louie, the President of the company, assessed the situation and had his crew provide a temporary fix to the leak while he researched the structural needs of this type of home. He contacted Deck Home and ordered the materials required from the original manufacturer to ensure a perfect outcome. He also arranged with the solar company to have our panels removed and reinstalled after the work was completed. During the replacement job, the weather did not always cooperate. After a full day of work, Louie actually returned at 10 PM to secure additional protective tarps because the overnight weather prediction had changed. Throughout the process, Louie also advised us of improvements that he thought would protect our home in the future. This included a new skylight and heavy duty gutters with stainless steel leaf guards. Louie and his crew were amazing. They were responsive,efficient and left our home and property spotless. We would recommend M & J Roofing without hesitation to anyone who needs a high quality roof replacement or repair.

We received three quotes for our roofing project and Louie was the only one that actually got up on the roof to inspect the problems we had been having with a leak. From start to finish M&J roofing exceeded our expectations. The process was quick, our roof was stripped and replaced all in one day and the crew left our property clean and tidy. I think one of the most important aspects of a contractor is being able to work with them when things go wrong and this company is excellent at that. Upon delivery of the roofing materials, by another company, damage was done to the gutter on the front our house. M & J Roofing went above and beyond just repairing the damage and replaced the entire gutter. Great company to work with!

Louie was very responsive when we contacted him through Angie's List, and walked us through every aspect of what his team would do in converting from cedar to asphalt. The job took a little longer than anticipated due to the pitch of the roof, as well as some unforseen complications, but the team completed the job to our satisfaction and within the budget agreed to. We would definitely use M&J again.

Louie runs a tight ship. They are prompt, professional and did a great job. We had a problem with one of our skylights, and they determined that three of our skylights were in good shape and that only two needed replacing as they were the same model. They reconfigured and replaced our gutters so that they work much better than the original gutters. The roof looks great. Overall, they are a first rate company.

M & J was absolutely fantastic. When Louis came to inspect my roof, he brought all the necessary paperwork such as his license and proof of insurance. They were on time and gave me pictures of the roof. They walked me through the work step by step. He finished the project quickly and in the time frame he first told me. The roof looks great, and the crew cleaned up well too. No damage was done to my yard and landscaping, which was important to me too. I was very impressed with the professional customer service- I did not have to ask for his paperwork, and he stated that I did not have to pay him until I was satisfied with the work. If anything went wrong, he stated that I could call him personally and ask questions. I would recommend them to anyone!

I was extremely happy. Louie always answered his phone and addressed all my questions. He took many photos on the roof, and wrote up the quote during the initial visit. Other contractors took days or even couple weeks to get back to me with quote. The crew worked hard and did a great job. Outstanding quality. Punctual work delivered on the promised dates. Clean-up was fantastic. This is a professional organization that understands their business. They made sure the estimate and the work required was well-explained. There were some optional items provided in the estimate but without pressure to perform the related work....it was up to us to decide.
