My GE Refrigerator is six years old. It is located in my pool house - it's used as overflow freezer storage and also to store snacks and drinks, ice cream bars, etc. It started making a clicking sound and the ice cream in the freezer wasn't frozen as hard as it should be. I called GE Appliance Repair and requested service. They asked me if it was still cooling and I told them yes, but not as cold as it should be. She said their policy was to not send someone out right away unless the refrigerator had stopped cooling, so she scheduled my repair for a week out. Of course, by the time the repairman showed up it had stopped completely and everything was melted. My complaint is with the company's policy of not responding promptly to my request for service. If they had scheduled my repair in a timely manner I would not have lost all of the food in my unit. It just doesn't make sense to me that they want to wait until you lose everything before they'll send a repairman. I will NEVER buy another GE Appliance.

It was just a flaw in the design and it happens sometimes. They were fairly timely, the repairman was pleasant with a nice personality and knew what he was doing. He knew immediately what the problem was. I would use them again.
Description of Work: They fixed the refrigerator as it froze where it defrosts and drains, and they put a little metal piece in it to keep it from draining.

This service call was a routine experience. It took them 45 minutes to complete the job. The price for this job was fair.

.They fixed my refrigerator but it took them three visits to fix the little piece that you press your glass against to make water come out of the door. They wanted to charge me over $200 for a part they weren't even sure I needed. After they fixed my refrigerator my microwave stopped working and they couldn't figure out why.
Description of Work: .I hired this company to repair a small piece on my refrigerator.

I found them on Angie's List. They were very good. I spent $245 on the job. They provided good service. The guy came out on time and repaired the unit. He was good. He was professional and took care of the job. I cannot compare the price because I have not used anybody else before. I will use this company again in the future.

He was a very personable young man. His name was Pete Anderson. It originally was scheduled for 1-5 pm. He got finished early and they called to tell me he would be here in 30 minutes, which was nice. He had the board on his truck and we could tell immediately that the refrigerator was working properly after he did the work. We would call him again if we ever have a problem. We had purchased the refrigerator in 2006. We didn't compare prices but it sounded reasonable. He didn't make a mess and tidied up when he was finished and put the rug back down. We called the day before and they came the next day.
Description of Work: We used General Electric Appliance Service to put in a new board on my GE refrigerator. The fan had quit blowing so the icemaker was working properly and it wasn't maintaining cold enough temperatures in the freezer.
