This project went very well. My driveway had been damaged/washed out after a large tree was taken down. Arnold's did an excellent job fixing it. He was on-time and got the job done efficiently. He was at my house at 7 am and was finished in time for me to head off to work. This job took two days - day one he cut and prepared the area. On the second day (following day) he paved it. He leveled the area and also put down sand. I will have him back in the spring to seal the driveway as he explained that it was now too cold to seal. He also explained that the new patch needs a month before it could be sealed. I highly recommend him.

I recently used Arnold's Masonry for two projects at my home. The quality of craftmanship exceeded my expectations as did the professionalism of the firm. During the whole process, they made sure they kept in constant contact with me in terms of what I had in mind for the project. I was very impressed overall.

He and his Dad are very hard workers, and once they started they did not stop - both their work ethic and beautiful end product caught the attention of all of my neighbors. Arnold and his father were true craftsman. I needed two long hillside retaining walls completely redone and a new pathway built. Both jobs went smoothly and totally exceeded my expectations. Arnold was able to to take my pathway idea and create something that fit in perfectly with the landscape. I will happily work with them again!

Arnold’s Masonry was very responsive and clear in their communications from the beginning of our correspondence through the Angie’s List app. They were able to give a rough estimate of the price based on photos and then came out later to give a final estimate after seeing the steps. They were extremely punctual and polite. The stone work looks great and they told us how to make it last longer. They worked quickly and left the area cleaner than it was when they arrived. I will definitely call them again when I’m ready to redo my stone patio.

I was very happy with Arnold's Masonry and Construction. I was told by my chimney sweep that I needed extensive repair to my chimney and to find a mason. Arnold's Masonry immediately responded and came to look at what needed to be done. Because I need a safe chimney for my wood burning stove which I use throughout the Winter, I stressed that I needed the work done soon before cold weather set in. The owner and crew came out the very next weekend and worked both Saturday and Sunday to get the job done. Very nice people who did a very nice job.

Arnolds recapped and pointed two chimneys. I was impressed with Arnold's thoroughness through every step of the process, he was always prompt and courteous and kept you informed. Arnold was very responsive and provided excellent communication throughout. In fact they were the only contractor who actually responded to messages on Angie's List (all others required phone calls to get a response). Even though I am located somewhat outside their regular service area they came out to review the site and work required very quickly. After seeing what was needed they reached out to me several times to discuss options and then provided me with their estimate. Unfortunately their estimate was considerably higher than the others who also had positive ratings here so I did not give them the work. If they had given a more competitive estimate I would have given them an overall A rating (assuming the work went well)

We were in a time crunch and wanted to fix the crack very quickly as our house was going to be placed in the market for selling. We reached out to Arnold Masonry on a Saturday and he was very prompt and responded to our call on Sunday. Since it was a crack (a relatively minor job), Arnold asked us to send a picture of the crack which we did. He was very prompt in responding and fixed the crack on Monday. His promptness helped us immensely and we would highly recommend him.

The result was beyond my expectations. I really liked the authenticity of the old wall and was reluctant to change it but the previous year a stone had fallen on the back of my son's leg. The wall had to be dealt with. I had no idea who to call so I decided to take a leap of faith and trust the reviews on Angie's List. I am very satisfied with my experience. Arnold and his father are hardworking, good-humored, respectful and experienced. They listened to what I had in mind and offered suggestions on the length, height and width of the wall. Arnold explained how they would build the retaining part of it and why it is done that way. I wanted the other part level even though the property slopes slightly. Arnold came up with the idea of sloping the wall behind the tree where it wouldn't be obvious. We absolutely love the new wall. It's still an old New England style wall but a neater safer one with lots of curb appeal! The wall was rebuilt in September 2014. This winter was the harshest I have seen in terms of frost heaves. There are several areas around my home in need of repair but not the wall or the fireplace. They didn't budge... passed the quality of workmanship test! It is now May 2015. I hired Arnold's Masonry, LLC again to build a variegated bluestone patio between the garage sidewalk and the deck. The day before the start date, Arnold brought some materials and a design for the layout of the stones. We talked about the layout and the color stone I preferred. Arnold hand-selected each stone which I greatly appreciated. Like he did with the wall, Arnold checked with me frequently during the job. And again, there were quirks to work around. The deep freeze of the winter had caused one of the walkway slabs to heave up higher than the surrounding ones. Arnold discussed options with me and spent a lot of time positioning the bluestone against the sidewalk. Work started at 8:00 am on Friday and was completed by Sunday afternoon. Another fantastic job!!

responsiveness was amazing - well beyond expectations. I contacted Arnold Wednesday 4/15 AM for a quote - he arrived that afternoon and provided us with a quote and price. Both were agreeable. We had taken out a number of bushes from the front gardens and were anxious to get the stairs repaired as soon as possible so we could replant. Arnold was amazing - he, his father, and brother did the work that weekend, working both Saturday and Sunday to help us out!!! We couldn't be more pleased with his responsiveness and work ethic. I would recommend him to anyone.

I asked for an estimate and I asked how he came up with the number. No response. Followed up again. No response. I would not work with any provider that is unwilling to have a dialogue. A simple this is the best I can do would also have sufficed.

Time went by and we heard nothing. I called them and he stated he has not had the time to get over. He stated he would be by at his conveinance and still never got an estimate. I asked him for the reason why he hasnt been by but wasnt given him.

The provider gave us an estimate of the cost of the work, performed said work exactly when promised, and finished promptly. The work was beautifully done and took less time than expected.

Our house is on a hill so we have a L-shaped cement porch with 9 steps and 2 landings. Due to weather related damage over the years, the sides of the porch developed a hole and cracks, along with some of the cement starting to crumble on a step and some cracking on others. We first called Arnold's a few months ago for an estimate, then we called him 2 weeks ago and he came out promptly to look at job again and gave us a time frame of when he could do the job. He ended up having time earlier than he thought so he called us and asked if it was o.k. to come sooner, which was fine with us. He and his father showed up early, and then the weather turned and they decided to delay the work for a short time. They continued the work after the storm clouds past and were able to complete the job. The work done shows their professionalism - attention to detail, neat work, conscientious and courteous.

Arnold and his father were a pleasure to work with. We had spoken with several masons before selecting Arnold and have no regrets with our decision based on all facets -- they are personable, reasonable, dependable and do excellent, high quality work. We are very happy with the outcome and would certainly use them again.

We were happy to have Arnold back again.(They were here in June repairing our front steps). They put a beautiful patio in in our back yard using paving stones. It came out great. The worked tirelessly for 3 days and completed the job by the weekend! They are very easy to work with, trustworthy and as mentioned extremely hard working. We plan to have them back in the spring for some more work in the front of our house and would recommend them to anyone!

Arnolf and he Dad, Raymong, were prompt at 8 am on a Saturday and had the job finished by 12;30 pm. They made our paver walk look brand new and cleaned up all debry and sand before they left. Very personalble and service-focused.
