Description of Work: Resurfaced our front step/ landing area that had been done 7 years prior and also removed and reapplied the blue stone on steps and front entryway, that was not applied properly the first time. They also added a brick facade under front step that was installed improperly first time so there would be minimal overhang and safer to step on. Did a nice stucco finish on side of steps and a broom brush finish on landing area.

 + -1 moreI guess I would describe him as somewhat old school. He was quietly confident as far as what he needed to do. His English wasn't necessarily strong. He seemed like a man of few words but he definitely seemed to know what he was doing. I contacted him because he had excellent reviews from people who had hired him on Angie's List. He was one of the final candidates that I had considered, but I did not select him. He literally looked at it, took a few measurements, scribbled a number on the back of his business card and handed me the quote. That was fine because that was one way to do it. It is just that I hadn't seen that in a while. I think we were able to get an appointment very quickly. He showed up when expected. I would give his name to someone else, but I don't know if I would have the need to use him in the future. It also depends on how it works out with the vendor I ended up selecting.

Description of Work: we had an in ground pool requiring first removal of a concrete "apron" and surrounding gravel and dirt followed by installation of a stone pool deck. the work was prompt, the cost was as estimated, the clean-up was immaculate, and the outcome was beautiful. We would definitely recommend Alex for this type of work and we will definitely use him again for other planned projects.

Description of Work: 1) Removed crumbling front door concrete steps. 2) Built new concrete, brick, and bluestone steps (four treads and landing). Footprint of the unit is approximately 7' x 9'. 3) Removed asphalt pad in front of new steps and constructed new 4' x 9' pad using pavers. 4) Repointed about 15 bricks and secured and patched flashing on chimney on top of roof. 5) Made small repair in garage floor concrete.
