We have never been more satisfied overall with anything we've contracted in our lifetime. TRP Construction was ultra professional from start to finish. The owner, staff, and vendors all have customer service abilities that one would expect from seasoned office professionals. The quality and craftsmanship are unparalleled, again, we never have and never will be more satisfied. We feel like we're friends even though this was a business transaction. Wow, this kind of happiness does not happen every day. Our kitchen, laundry room, and bathroom look absolutely amazing. The folks on HGTV would be jealous of us for sure. Our plan was to sell in 3 years or so. Not so sure we're going to want to leave now. Everyone's heard the nightmare stories. This experience was just a dream. We're almost done with this very large renovation - 5 rooms, 2 bathrooms and 2 l-shaped hallways. Tom and his crew have been phenomenal. Tom has worked with us every step of the way. His workers do an amazing job and are always polite and professional. They did everything from dry walling, painting, electrical, plumbing, tiling and carpentry. I would highly recommend TRP Construction to anyone, which I have already done. I would also rehire him for any work we need done in the future. I wouldn't have survived this huge project without Tom's patience and cooperation.

I hired Tom, owner of TRP, to do a 2.5 bathroom remodel at my mom's house. Let me preface my review with this: she had not showered in her house for over a year b/c of leaks (she showered at the gym daily!), out bathrooms were original from the 1970's, and we had one working toilet (out of three in the house). This was a big job of unidentified leaks, an elderly woman who is afraid of strangers in her house, and clueless clients (notably: me). Tom took the time to come and evaluate the job -- taking measurements and patiently going over what he thought the work would entail. Being on a budget, he was able to recommend options for us and though I was stressed initially about having to go and pick out things like faucets, shower stalls, flooring -- I wound up really enjoying this b/c Tom was patient and would help guide me along the way. I didn't feel lost despite the challenges of one small/odd shaped master bath b/c Tom would try his best to help me out in terms of what I needed to look for. In the midst of our job, which was going *on* schedule (late one day b/c the inspector couldn't get here on time due to the town inspector's schedule, NOT TRP!), we had a family emergency. I was afraid to tell Tom for fear he'd say "we have a schedule, this has to be done" because we were in no shape to manage the renovation w/ this family emergency--and I was worried about having to explain why we needed to stop a bit. Tom's immediate response was "Do what you need to do, you tell me when you are ready". This type of kindness was so unexpected and I am so grateful for his patience. It's something that would *of course* throw a wrench in all his planning because he has to juggle so many staff but he rolled with it. I tell you this because Tom is above all else, a kind hearted, genuine person. I feel you should know that when you hire him, you're hiring someone honest and professional--but also, a gentleman who works with a cadre of wonderful guys. Now: the work! Our bathrooms look SO great! His team was professional and prompt, and Tom kept me updated about what was happening when. He was responsive to my texts and was patient in explaining the issues. When we had an unidentified leak, both he and his project manager, Bob (my mom adored him), were there for hours caulking, testing and trying to get to the bottom of the problem before closing things up. I also adored his electrician, Lou, who was so deft with his work and so patient with all of my mom's weird, lengthy questions (well, they were all patient w/my mom's crazy questions: THANKS TRP!). In short: I talked to 4 contractors and Tom came in at an incredibly reasonable range--considering he has a team of people who will work together to get your job done, the price is more than competitive in my opinion. We had to add on one charge due to the inspector but even as I look at that cost, it was nothing outrageous and I was more or less on budget to what we could spend. I chose Tom given his reviews on here, and the fact that he responded when he told me would (a rare occurrence I think) were very important to me. The job would certainly have been done on time if not for us -- and to be honest, I'll miss chatting with Tom each morning. We would, no doubt, hire Tom again when the time comes--and I know we are recommending him to our friends/neighbors. I encourage you to hire Tom, Bob, John, Lou, Steve et al.! They made my VERY FIRST remodel job a truly pleasant experience. (FYI, my photos are before and afters!).

Our bathroom looks great! Tom listened to our remodeling desires and answered our questions. He offered useful suggestions of his own. Items that other contractors said could not be done, Tom did them. Before beginning on the project, Tom presented us with a detailed contract listing all the work to be done. Tom's crews worked quietly and efficiently, allowing us to go about our daily business with a minimum of disturbance. Tom would visit daily to check on the progress of the work. When the work was completed, Tom and his workers willingly did any minor touch-ups that we suggested. After years of being disappointed by a series of highly rated contractors, we have finally found one that we can trust for future projects.

TRP Construction (Tom Prete) did a fabulous job renovating our bathroom. Tom is extremely professional and prompt with an excellent price for the job. I am tremendously pleased with TRP & Tom Prete. He keeps you posted as to timing and the next steps of the job, cleans up the job site every night, and has a very professional Crew. One of Tom's specialties is fine carpentry which came out great in the bathroom. I can honestly recommend TRP & will use them on my next projects.

We originally assumed that we would need a new deck which was estimate to be in the 4K range. Tom worked with us and decided that replacing a few boards followed by power washing and new stain would buy us 5 more years or so. We went with that and we're completely 110% satisfied with the choice, the quality, and the final appearance. When it is time to replace the existing deck TRP will be our contractor without question. We are completely confident that we will be well served again. Tom is a very honest and highly skilled contractor.

Fantastic experience, We told Tom what we wanted and he listened , we had a time line and he met that we were very pleased . During the construction everything was covered ,floors ,furniture, doors. He and his crew were on time and when left everything was cleaned. The outcome was better then I thought it would be . I will hire Tom Prete construction again .

Tom was reliable and professional from day one. He gave us an extremely detailed estimate and he stuck to it. We decided to upgrade certain items, but his estimate was solid. He stuck to his timeline and oversaw every aspect of the construction to make sure his guys were doing superior work. Tom made the whole process easy and stress free. He and his crew were a pleasure to work with and the finished product is amazing. We would and will hire TRP again for our future remodeling needs and can’t recommend them highly enough .

Tom was a pleasure to work with. He was very responsive to questions, called prior to arrival, was always on time and his team finished the job ahead of schedule to include cleaning up the work area. I highly recommend Tom for any work needed.

Tom was out of town when I called and told me when he would be back to stop and give me price. He was prompt and very courteous. We agreed on a price and he showed up on time with his helper and finished the work. Very need and very clean and very professional. I would hire him back in a minute.

Could not have been more pleased. Work was done neatly and as promised. Tom kept us informed of all planned activities and times for the duration of the work. He showed up right on time and stayed with the job until it was done. Completely reliable.

Tom and his team were fantastic and I would recommend them to anyone. I had TRP restore a water damaged section of my kitchen. Prior to the renovation, I had 5 skylights in the room replaced. The new skylights didn’t line up with the existing trim work so it made for a very tricky project. Tom worked his magic and made them look perfect. He has a great crew who are both talented and professional. The work included tearing down the ceiling, re-dry walling, replacing trim around the windows, replacing recessed lighting and installing a new fan. What I liked most about working with Tom was that he was personally onsite every day, even when he didn’t need to be. Much of the work was completed by his team, but regardless of whether he had anything to do, he stopped by every day to check on the progress. Additionally, Tom was very thorough and meticulous in reviewing the work. He noticed a few things that needed to be touched up that I hadn’t even seen. He scheduled his guys back to fix it without me even asking. The room now looks better than when I bought the house. I would strongly suggest TRP to anyone. Tom will be my only call for any future work at my house.

It did went extremely well. Every thing we have in the contract was delivered in in time.

In short, Tom Prete (TRP Construction) is everything you need in a remodeling/general contractor. He is a real pleasure to work with goes above and beyond to be sure you get the results you want. My wife and I recently had a second floor shower removal and complete shower renovation done by Mr. Prete. He initially provided us with an estimate and accomplished the whole project for that estimate; with no surprise price hikes due to miscalculations or rise in materials costs. When he said he or his sub-contractors would be there on a certain day and time, that?s when they arrived. Tom explained and assisted with various design and materials choices which needed to be made and all work was finalized professionally. There was no damage to any part of the house and no mess for me to clean up at the end of the project. I intend to have Mr. Prete handle future house renovations. If you have house projects to be done, do yourself a favor and call Mr. Prete.

Tom is awesome... He was accurate, clean. Comes when he says he's coming, done earlier than expected for the project. He is meticulous... He was the best contractor to work with. He is phenomenal I would recommend him highly to anyone for any job...

TRP construction is by far the best contractor we have used since moving into our home 12 years ago. When called owner Tom Prete set up an appointment to see what was involved and give us a quote. When the day arrived he was there to the minute which is very rare these days. Told us what was involved and how long it would take to order the replacement door and an estimate for all the was invovled which was pretty much dead on when work was completed. On the day work started he was again at our house on the time promised with a helper. Job took roughly a day and a half to complete. We couldn't have been any happier,top quality door, workmanship was perfect. These guys know their stuff. Covered all our rugs to protect everything and after job was done you would never know they were here. Perfection in a contractor like I said hard to find these days TRP was perfect. My highest recommendation!

We could not be more pleased with the Tom and his crew. They are very professional, experienced, punctual and clean. We ran into a lot of unforseen conditions during the project and he handled them very well with his quick innovative thinking. Tom's open line of communication as well as attention to detail are a few of his many top qualitities making the stress of a home project very minimal on the homeowner. Tom is very fair and honest with his pricing and provides nicely constructed estimates that clearly shows he puts the time into learning the job.
