This was a HUGE project which took months to complete. But the quality of workmanship made it worth the wait. My back "yard" was nothing but a very steep slope directly out the walkout basement door. I met with John several times and together we designed a two deck concept leading down to a large stamped concrete patio in the middle. The decks are 20' x20' and 12' x12' respectively. The patio is around 30 +/-' x 20'. What was previously a steep hill became an entertainment haven! John did all the sitework and excavation and then brought in a crew to help with deck construction, concrete and stone work. The decks are built so solidly I could easily close them in as additions to the home if I so choose. John worked with me to get the lowest prices possible on materials, and hauled the gazillion yards of fill and topsoil with his own truck to keep expenses down. He also seeded down the 'new' backyard and I have a lovely expanse of lawn several feet out from the patio now. I have received many compliments on the beauty of the stone walls as well. The back of my house has been completely transformed and many people now say the back of the house is more attractive than the front!

John at first glance seems like he would be a great partner to work with. He was engaging to talk with over the phone. My wife and I had John over to look at being our main contractor for paving our drive way, building a garage and tying a patio from the garage to our house. However upon showing up to look at the job John was over two hours later and never called to say that he was held up. When he showed up he said that he was having issues in court because he was trying to get payment from Home Depot on major jobs that he had been contracted for. Both my wife and I had given him the benefit of doubt and decided to at least let him hear what we wanted to do. We showed him the job and he seemed very knowledgeable what at this point I thought got us on a better track. When John left we felt that he had a good understanding of what we wanted to do and was very excited to see what he was going to come back with. He had told my wife and i that he need a week to draw up plans for the garage and that by next Friday we would have three different plans to review. What happen next was Friday came and passed. We never heard from John. What followed was several conversations with promised made that never happened. At this point both my wife and I said that there would be no way that we would contract with John.

John was a personable fellow when meeting on site to obtain a bid to demo a couple buildings. Appeared knowledgeable and enthusiastic about his work. He followed up with a phone call a week later, after which we spent a great deal of time and effort preparing and sending numerous site plans to assist in fine-tuning an estimate. However, after months of following up with an additional half-dozen phone calls and emails, we never heard from him again. We certainly understand if a company doesn't want the job, but this is a disrespectful manner in which to communicate that.

Prompt, professional and courteous from start to finish. After my initial call, John Petrucelli (owner) came to the house within 24 hours and provided an estimate. Previous front yard was huge expanse of icky moss, with ratty old pachysandra. John and his crew did a fantastic job turning this previously ugly mess of moss and dirt into a lush lawn. I now have the greenest grass on the block! The newly planted ornamentals are also doing great and I have received many compliments on the front yard's transformation. Would highly recommend this company. Pricing I considered reasonable for such a large job, and I plan to use this company again in the future for design and installation of a dual level deck. I will be sure to submit another report upon completion.
