Decided to have another above ground pool installed at my new home. Since I prefer the Vogue line of pools, I went to Brothers Pool in Wallingford, CT. I ordered it in early spring so as to have it all set up for the beginning of summer. They installed it late June and while installing the ladder, burned a hole in the lining. It began to leak which went unnoticed by me until the weekend of the fourth of July. We had yet to use the pool. I personally went to the store, but was met with an extremely hostile father of the owner, who refused to assist, and threw me out of the store. I paid to have the leak repaired by someone they recommended, but subsequently found out the liner they originally installed was not made by Vogue. In addition, they installed a damaged heater. They refused to replace it as well. They accused my electricians of damaging it during the installation of the propane and electrical wiring. By the end of the season they had not responded to rectifying the issues I had notified them of both by phone and certified letter. It was necessary for me to file with Small Claims Court to be able to resolve it to my satisfaction. It wasn't until we were face to face at the courthouse and they saw everything I had prepared, that we were able to come to an agreement. I personally went to the store to pay them the balance with a bank check prior to them coming out. Unfortunately I had an additional charge of $250 for pool water, as they refused to take care of that. At that point I just wanted to be finished with the business. I will say that there was one young man that did apologize. It came too little too late. I have never used them again, preferring their competitor Hunters Pool of Wallingford, where you get excellent customer service, even for the smallest of purchases.

I had a bad dealing with them. We have been their customers for 9 years. Our pool got damaged and we wanted to put in a new liner. We knew the pool was damaged as so in March we ordered a new liner and water and told them about the damage we had on it. They know that we like to open our pool early and close it late and time kept going and going. We met him in June and they said they would get here the next week. The next week came and they come to the house with the stuff. The guy calls me up and says that they can’t do the job because we ordered the wrong liner. I told him that I went through the document which I had got from them when I bought the pool 9 years ago saying the pool was a certain measurement. I bought the liner with the same specifications and if it is not matching then it means that they sold me a different pool and that’s what I paid for. He told me that I had to wait another week for the liner. After 4 days I get a call asking if they could come out but I told him that we had ordered the wrong liner. He told me that my liner was sitting at the back door and we would like to come out and install it. I also reminded him that he had to insulate the wall of the pool. They told me that they would insulate it so that they could keep as much of the heat in it. The bottom of my pool is not insulated as it is not flat at the bottom. I was fine with that. I wasn’t home when they came to do it. I asked them to replace the trim that had got ruined from the weather we had in the winter and make sure it matched. I wasn’t there when they did it. They came and did the pool and put it back together. The water guy came and filled it up and my wife calls me up and says the liner looks nice. She told me that when they looked outside the window she seem them insulating the bottom on the pool and not the side of the pool. The contract said sidewalls only and a part of the pool where they ran shot of blue they put white trim in three sections and it looks horrible. When I went home I seen that they insulated the bottom of the pool and the walls are dented. They sent me the wrong solar cover and it was supposed to be a heavy duty one and it was a standard one. The floor couldn’t be done because it was not flat and the three white trims don’t match my pool. She said I could keep the solar cover because I didn’t pay for it as yet and it would make up for everything. I bought another solar cover, and gave back there’s and told them that I wont be doing business with them again. The whole thing cost me $2500 and there was not one thing right except the liner. The price was reasonable.
Description of Work: I used the service of Brothers Pool two months ago to put a new liner and insulate the pool.

I waited too long this year to open the pool. The water was black , it was a mess. I couldn't get anyone to come out and help. I called two pool companies on Angies list no one would come. I looked in the yellow pages desperate!! I work in Wallingford Ct. and it is 45 minutes from my house but I thought I would try. They said it was no problem to come out. I have worked with them all summer and they have been wonderful. I especially liked the fact that you can choose to be on the cleaning list once a week or once every two weeks. You can also call if your having a party and they will make a special trip. They were a lifesaver this year and deserve to be on Angies list.
Description of Work: Cleaned my pool they got it up and running for the summer. They came on time cleaned both the filter and pool. Came back when they said they would even though they are 45 minutes away.
