Description of Work: Pulled old rug up from the stairs (recently purchased the home) and found the treads cracked/broken. Requested a quote on replacing (figured they were too far gone to fix). He asked what our plans were for the stairs and told him after refinishing we planned to have a runner installed to help our dog go up and down. He said he could save us thousands by repairing them since most of the imperfections would be hidden by the refinishing and the runner. The stair treads are now much sturdier than before and the refinisher was just in for the first coat and they look great. Great job, hard worker. We had him do quite abit of other work as well once we saw what he could do. $2000 for everything which took about a full week.

Description of Work: did not use him. He visited, and was supposed to give me an estimate with a few days. I followed up 2 weeks later and he said he would get back to me. It has been a month, and I have not heard a thing. The ship has sailed. Won't be using this guy at all....

+ 16 moreDan Arnold is an outstanding contractor and all around good guy. I trust him completely. He is professional, conscientious, meticulous, and his prices are excellent. My house was originally built in 1893 and nothing is standard size, level or plumb, so nothing is really straight forward or easy. Dan and his team are all highly skilled at their trades, and each and every one of them are problem solvers that set high standards for themselves and take pride in their work. People who have visited my home since it was rebuilt make comments like, "magnificent" and "gorgeous" and then ask for my contractor's phone number.
Description of Work: Rebuilt close to 75% of the interior of my home after it was destroyed in a fire, including bathroom, kitchen, built in bookcases, doors, windows, drywall, floors (hardwood, ceramic and marble), closets, woodwork, staircases, and painting. Rebuilt porch damaged by water and rot.

He and his crew were professional, prompt and they worked patiently to get the job done right. I will definitely use their services again.
