 + 2 moreThey called the day before and confirm our appt and the following day Jackee and crew showed up on time and ready to go. I was amazed how methodical they were and what an amazing job they did to my home. I have used other cleaning companies in the past and they just were not as thorough as Fab5 star is. I honestly did not expect them to take my dog out but they asked ahead of time so I did not have to run home to do this task. I have read other reviews about scheduling mix ups but not with my cleanings ( which they do every other week now and its been 6 months) and my neighbor down the street who I referred them too never had problems either they still clean her house also. I would highly recommend them to all try them, you will see the difference like I did and I am so happy I did! thank you fab5star!

 + -1 moreHow did it go? It didn’t go at all. The owner came to our home to give us an estimate. We accepted the estimate and scheduled a date for our windows to be washed. She was due to arrive at 8:30, but by 9:00, she hadn’t arrived. When we called the company, there was no answer. Finally, at about 9:30, someone answered the phone and said that the owner had to go to Washington (DC? State of?) for a family emergency, and that she would get back to us to reschedule. After a week went by with no return phone call, we called the company. The owner said that she couldn’t talk at the moment, but would call us right back. Again, no call back, so we called the next day and got a date for three weeks later. As before, we expected her to arrive at 8:30. As before, 9:00 came and went with no appearance. We called the business and were given a sob story about how the truck had broken down, how the owner was very upset because she had just spent $1800 getting it fixed, and that she would call us back to reschedule. We told them not to bother calling back. We had skipped our morning exercise class twice in order to be available for these appointments. Maybe the excuses were legitimate, but there is no excuse for failing to show up and not even calling us to let us know. Fabulous Five Star Cleaning Services wasn’t too Fabulous and gets No Stars. **UPDATE** 9-28-16 The seller’s response to my review is not true. We were never told not to schedule the service during the summer months. In fact, the initial window cleaning was scheduled for during the summer. After the first no-show, the owner was anxious to reschedule the work. After the second no-show, we were told that we would be called to reschedule once again, which we declined. Again, no mention was made of the weather, nor were we ever advised to postpone the service until after the summer months. I am very disappointed that the seller would lie about this. While the fact that two appointments were no-shows with no notice to us is enough to justify a less than perfect review, the falsehoods in the response only serve to confirm my rating..

 + -1 moreLovely Ladies, kind, responsive, and sweet. Unfortunately, my home was not a good fit for them as I'm more of a seasonal cleaning. They cancelled several times when they were expected and I was only notified the days of the cancellation. I believe the cleaning was not as thorough when I had someone from their staff vs. Jackie or Tina. I was charged several times for areas not cleaned like outdoor shower or covered porch. They always corrected the invoice but I didn't like having to double check these items after a cleaning. Hoping I'm just a one-off for them b/c they seemed to good people.

They are willing to work with you to establish a cleaning schedule that meets your needs and they have great attention to detail. The house always looks and smells fantastic after their team has finished and the quality of the cleaning job is consistently top notch, with special attention made to any specific owner requests. They really care about their clients and go out of their way to help in extra ways, such a letting the dog out, if requested, while they are at my home. I would highly recommend this company to anyone looking for home or yacht cleaners in Connecticut.

 + 3 moreThe initial cleaning went fine, with the exception of cleaning all of the windows, due to us having a lot of yard work done. Which was fine and we understood they could come back and finish them once the yard work was done. (See my June review that gave them an A) We were told that our hardwood floors would be cleaned, including moving the furniture and cleaning under our throw rugs. I remember this conversation very well, because they kept saying how they use all organic cleaners for everything in the house and including the hardwood floors. The floors were never properly done. We found dirt underneath them. Please understand that the first time they came in, there was no furniture in the living room and it still was not done. There were definitely things they did right and for the price, we wanted them to come back so we could see if aafter a few times everything would get caught up on. We have a big place and it had not been really cleaned in a long time. There are over 40 windows that were included in the initial cleaning payment. Over the course of a couple months and many date changes for our cleanings and cleaning the windows, we showed up one day and cleaning was half done, screens were off windows, furniture was out of place as if they were cleaning behind them, and no one was there. There was no warning to it and they never called us to explain or to setup the next date to come and do the bi-weekly cleaning. The windows in the house that we paid to get cleaned, were never cleaned. We paid for a service that we never received. They would make and break appointments because they either had the people to do the work or they didn't. The first meeting with them, they actually had to leave to go pick up more workers because they did not plan out the cleaning of our house properly. I feel like they simply took our money and ran and I will never recommend them to anyone. It blows my mind that there is not enough pride from this company to at least try to complete the initial cleaning. Lack of pride in work and lack of integrity to finish what they said they would do. The thing I did like was the cost of the services, but in the end, I paid for services that I never got. so I guess that was a bad deal too now that I really think about it.

 + -1 moreI was disappointed. I think this company would certainly benefit from better management of expectations. Tina came to my home and told us what would be covered in the cleaning. I was soooo excited. Problem is that I don't think those details are made known to the staff. They do a good job--however--they do not do all that Tina quotes up front. They are pricey, however, if all that Tina said would be done was done it would have been worth it. It was not. Three visits and I am no longer using the service. Tina left a very nice message to see if we could rectify the situation. I responded and left a message and never heard back. So my recommendation is to get the level of cleaning to be done in writing. This should be shared with the cleaning staff so that all are on the same page.

 + -1 moreExtremely disappointed. I was excited when Tina first came to the house and spoke of her services and thoroughness. After reading all the positive reviews on Angie's List, I thought I had found a fabulous cleaner. She spoke highly of her security consciousness and how they would clean every surface. At first look, I was pleased, but then saw details that made me less than satisfied. I found a window screen open and the window unlocked, and a door unlocked. The floors had debris all over them, so I had to sweep up after they left. The refrigerator was not cleaned and the linens were not washed, both of which were contracted for. She said she would go back to clean the refrigerator, but cancelled. And then cancelled the following appointment after I left voice and text messages to confirm (she said she had left me a message, which I did not get.) The town where this work was done is listed in their service area. I suggest they remove it since she said the location was too far. Much of the cleaning work was fine, but my overall experience was unsatisfactory.

Description of Work: I have not yet had my house cleaned by FFSCS due to recent unavoidable personal conflicts (on my end) that required me to cancel two scheduled cleaning appointments. I just felt compelled to offer a review prior to having the work done based on my conversations with Tina around my scheduling problems. I am in the process of preparing to have my home listed for sale. I have been maintaining it on my own for the past 2-3 years after my children have move out and feeling totally overwhelmed with the task of cleaning out and organizing 25 years of accumulated items, many with sentimental value, but of no use to me now, as I prepare to downsize and move to a smaller home. Realizing that I need some help, I contacted FFSCS after reading positive reviews on Angie's list. The owner, Tina, called me back right away and we scheduled an initial appointment for her to provide a price estimate. She called the day before to confirm our appointment and arrived promptly. I was immediately impressed by her professional, competent manner as she walked through my house providing me with detailed information about how she would clean each room. She informed me that she would personally handle the cleaning of two prized family heirlooms of great sentimental value. She was clear about what services were "routine" and what additional services she could provide if needed that are reasonably beyond the routine .ie: window washing, carpet cleaning. I was convinced that this was the service for me based on her attention to detail. We agreed on her quoted price and arranged an appointment for the following week. As I said, due to a series of unavoidable conflicts, I had to cancel and reschedule two times( the last time at the last minute!) and Tina was understanding and flexible about this. I am now rescheduling for next week and based on my experience thus far, I am anticipating that Tina's crew will continue to exceed my expectations. There is alot to be said about a business based on how they operate when things don't go according to plan. And Tina demonstated that she comes through when this happens. Her response to my embarassment over my second last minute cancellation: "Don't stress, Judy, family always comes first.". Based on this response I would recommend this business without hesitation and will be following up with another post-cleaning review. Just wanted to share my experience about how things have been handled thus far, which I think bodes well for this business. Because as we all know... Things don't always go according to plan!

We moved into a house that had not been thoroughly cleaned prior to the move in and Fabulous 5 star cleaners made the house seem like new after they were done. They even got rid of the hard water stains that were in our bathrooms. Amazing job and we'll be happy to use them anytime we need more cleaning done in the future.
