I needed a new garage door on a home I'm renovating in Trumbull. Bob, the owner of the company, took a lot of time explaining the options to me and drove me past some of the other doors he installed in the neighborhood. I needed a large custom size door about 17 feet long. When it came time to install the door, they gave me plenty of notice and showed up on time. Bob installed it himself. Its a very clean installation and the door is amazingly quiet. I'm very happy with this company and highly recommend them.

Matt was very conscious of keeping expenses in line and did some maintenance items without charge. He tested everything and explained how to operate the new remotes. Matt was very professional, personable and knowledgeable. I am very pleased with the service and product.

I have spoken with several garage door authorities, experts and professionals before I decided on Bob Zacchia of Automatic Door Company. The following are my reasons in brief: This was our first house, so we needed someone to transfer their knowledge of garage doors (i.e., materials, quality, construction, installation, repair, expenditures and service) to my wife and me. Bob, at our initial meeting offered a list of references, and copies of licenses and proof of indemnification. We proceeded to check the list of references Bob provided to us. Each reference gave accolades, praises and compliments that later demonstrated Bob’s support to each customer as if family. Bob’s honesty, truthfulness, authenticity and veracity were one of our primary reasons to consider Bob, but also articulated as a professional and committed to perform (Bob went beyond the contract to ensure our contentment). Bob was direct and wanted to ensure that my wife and I understood the Automatic Door Company fee structure of emergency service, normal business-hours, after-hours and weekend service for damaged or malfunctioning garage door or the opener. Where Bob Zacchia of Automatic Door Company really shined was when Bob explained the pros and cons in simple language, yet identifying in detail the differences between the quality of materials used in making the garages door (i.e., steel, aluminum, wood, wood composite, fiberglass, and vinyl). Lastly, Bob explained the degree of insulation and how the cost can be justified by the reduction of heat loss in our home.

I'm not much for writing reviews, but this company (and Bob) delivered as promised every step of the way - and exceeded expectations. Prompt, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. I spoke with Bob and told him I was shopping around... he visited the same day to review our current door situation - and then had his team come by to install safety wires, free of charge and without obligation. Next Bob offered us more than one door solution allowing us to factor in our limited budget situation. Within 3 days of placing our order for custom doors... Bob and his team arrived to complete the installation. Highly recommend this company based on our experience as new home owners. At the very least, its worth getting a quote and speaking with Bob.

Great. Returned call for service immediately. Showed up when scheduled and performed all work requested plus did an overall tune up of doors -- openers, chain drives, sensors, etc.

Excellent experience. Bob was timely in his responses and worked with us to give us what we needed. He didn't oversell us with products that were overkill. He also helped coordinate the re-building of the center post with a builder that he works with. Overall, he made it easy and the finished product looks and works great.

In one word, Automatic Door Co is.....Excellent. Bob was professional, prompt, went out of his way to make sure the installation was done right the first time. Explained the benefits of certain doors and openers and we couldn't be more pleased!!! Go with Automatic!!!

They called to confirm and also called to notify me that they were running a little late, which nobody does this day in age. Their prices are very reasonable. Their attitude is great. They do excellent work and are clean. They are punctual. They are superb!

Bob and his team did a great job - excellent customer service from the initial phone call to schedule an appointment through the completion of the repairs. Everything was done in a professional manner and with a high level of care and diligence. I would hire Bob for any repairs or installations - in fact, he installed my garage doors over 9 years ago and they still look new.

Visit for on site estimate was timely. Delivery time was as estimated. Installation schedule was adjusted to meet my availability. Installation technician was punctual, did a thourough job and left a clean job site.
