+ -1 morethe owner came out to look at the windows took some pictures and said he would get back to us. We finally had to call him and he stated it wasn't their responsibility that we did not finish the windows properly. The windows that are failing are only the ones they installed. Being that we were not get any action from him we had an installer come and look at the window and he found that the windows were not properly sealed on the bottom corners allowing water to seep into the interior wood causing the interior to degrade . He also stated no matter what kind of finish was applied it wouldn't make any difference the water was coming in from the outside.
Description of Work: this was a warranty problem all the windows installed by them the lower sash was rotting so we called to have the installer look at them.

Description of Work: They completely removed our old (and many cracked) metal windows (9) which required the removal and replacement of a lot of the vinyl siding. They replaced them with new much better quality metal windows. They replaced the old faded panes in the front bay window and painted our metal front door and replaced the old hardware.The bay window repair and repainting the front door were suggested instead of our asking them to replace them both - saving us a lot of money. They also installed a beautiful front storm door. Joe was great to work with in planning + executing and Nick + John were very pleasant + conscientious to deal with and most professional + efficient. A+!

+ -1 moreHonest. Honest. Honest. Joe Sabia worked with us to quote out the installation of 13 windows in our home. I received quotes from some of the big window installers too (those that spend lots of money on advertising, who also came highly recommended). Joe was extremely upfront with us about our options. He even suggested some locally respected window installers to check with for a comparison quote. In the end, the price he provided was extremely competitive and the window that was installed has worked out perfectly. Every call or email sent in was returned promptly and every appointment made, happened on time or a few minutes early. The installers (John, Nick, Jim and Jose) showed up on time on the day of the big installation. They installed 13 windows (meticulously) in just 5.5 hours. They were easy to communicate with, respectful of the space and left our house spotless. The aluminum wrapping on the outside of the house was done by John, who took his time to make sure it was done correctly (and it looks really great!). My wife and I could not be happier with our decision to go with Torrington Sash and Door. 75 years in business speaks volumes and perhaps honesty is their best quality.

+ -1 moreJoe Sabia at Torrington Sash was prompt, very complete in his evaluation and asked many questions to then produce an estimate. I felt very comfortable with him and with his company, including two of the field technicians. We chose to go with a competitor because of the uniqueness of some of the repairs, not because of price. I would never hesitate to consider Torrington Sash again for any window need.
Description of Work: estimated the cost of repairing the windows in our home prior to a sale.

+ -1 moreTHEY WERE GENERALLY GOOD. THEY COULD HAVE BEEN ON TIME, AND THAT WOULD HAVE MADE THEM A LOT BETTER. THE PEOPLE WERE POLITE AND DID THEIR JOB.
Description of Work: THEY REPLACED THE GARAGE SIDE DOOR. IT WAS NOT THE GARAGE DOOR BUT THE DOOR ON THE SIDE OF THE GARAGE.
