Sunday afternoon and a flooding basement. Called and got the owner directly. He was at my house within 45 minutes ready to work. Checked the pump and told me he'd have to get one from a box store since it was Sunday. He called from the store with pump prices and a recommendation. When he got back to the house he replaced the pump and cleaned up. Made recommendations on pump care and fixes to plumbing. I have major work coming up and this will be the first plumber I call.

I called them on the recommendation of our heating/cooling professional. I left a message, and he called me back within an hour or so. He asked lots of good questions, and tentatively diagnosed the problem over the phone, and then came over to look at the problem, explaining in clear language what the problem was-failed bladder and so a water-logged water tank. He gave us an estimate of $800 based on a $500 new tank and a half days labor. He scheduled the work for just a couple days later, showed up on time. There were 2 men instead of 1, and they were done in 1 1/2 hours, but still charged us $800 even when I asked. He told me that he had to "bring in this additional plumber, and I have to pay him good money." We paid, but felt that > $75.00/hour for each person was excessive. The work they did was fine, and our water pressure has stabilized and returned to "normal".
Description of Work: Replaced a water tank whose bladder had failed.
