+ 0 moreI had a 5-year old GE stove which broke right before Thanksgiving. GE promised to send a repairman and never did. I decided to shop for a new stove at a local, small business rather than at one of the big chain stores. I am SO happy that I did. The salesman at Dick Cooper Appliances in Torrington CT was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and very helpful. My stove and microwave were delivered when promised and to my surprise, the salesman came with the delivery man to show me how to operate my new Frigidaire stove! How often does that happen in this world. I was so impressed. Dick Cooper's Appliances assures me that they and quot;service what they selland quot; so I will be shopping there from now on for my appliances and t.v.'s. I can't say enough great things about my experience with the wonderful folks at Dick Cooper's.

+ -1 moreWe were having water leaking from under our refrig, and I drove my this business and just stopped in. The owner helped me, and it is obvious that this was a long-standing business. He sent his repair man out (the owner spoke respectfully about this man, whose name I forgot), the man was punctual, pleasnt and professional, and identified the problem. He fixed it quickly, gave us advice on how to avoid it in the future, and was fun to talk to. The bill was what was quoted. Our dryer just stopped working, and we are going to call Mr. Cooper on Tuesday to see if they can fix it.
Description of Work: Repair of side-by-side refrig. Water was coming from under the refrig.

+ -1 moreThey couldn t figure out that it was the compressor. They also told me that my refrigerator was not under warranty and that I should buy a new one. It was in fact still under warranty I later found out. I had to keep calling them to come every week. I was very upset with them and I will never use them again. The only thing that they did right was to come promptly when I called each time.
Description of Work: I called them to come and replace the compressor in my refrigerator.
