Description of Work: After reading reviews on Angie's List, I contacted Gary Redekas at American Excellence to replace my old and crumbling 2-car garage door. Gary was very friendly and gave me a really good price for a new door and all the accessories. I also had him replace my old door opener with a new belt-drive unit. |On the installation day, his crew showed up on time, they were very professional, also very friendly and courteous, and answered any questions I had. They did an excellent work, as well as a great job of cleaning up fully afterward. The new door is super-quiet and looks very nice. |I'm very happy with the work done and would absolutely recommend American Excellence to friends (and have).

Description of Work: We were very pleased with the service we received from American Excellence. The technician arrived right on time to repair a broken garage door chain. After diagnosing the problem, he replaced a part and repaired another, then did an overall check of the door and the mechanism, and did a few minor touch ups to help it run properly. He also replaced the bulb in the opener because it was burnt out, and showed me how to reprogram the outside key pad for entry. He was friendly and knowledgeable, explaining the problem and the repair. Scheduling the appointment was easy too. We would work with American Excellence again and recommend them.

+ -1 moreThey started out by just replacing our garage door but they found out some problem, so they did more extensive work. They did a really great job. They were honest about what needed to be done. They came back and did it in a timely manner. They kept us informed. Their price was reasonable, but the work ended up being quite extensive so there were two charges. The extended work was for $1465. The work before that cost $1000. I don't remember what the down payment was. They were very personable and ethical. Our overall experience with them was excellent.

The builder had installed the garage door and when the technician came out he put on some extra parts that the noticed were missing from the installation. The original fee was minimal so the twenty dollars he charged me for the extra parts was good. I like that I was able to email them on a Friday night and they emailed me back within an hour.
