John and his crew were very punctual and the work they did was very good. They got right to work and didn't waste any time. My only dissatisfaction is the cost: ~$590.00 for just the labor (a total of 5 man-hours (and one of those guys seemed like an apprentice) of indoor labor across two days).) That strikes me as pricey, and it was surprising. In fairness, maybe those are market rates; I dunno. And it's my fault that I didn't ask for an estimate up front, nor did I try to haggle after I got the bill. Then again, I wasn't offered an estimate, and I don't want to have to haggle. But I'm not angry because, again, all of the guys were responsive, professional, and did solid work. I honestly don't know if I would hire them again, but said "yes" above because Angie's List forces you to answer the question.

Phone conversation to set up service for replace of bathroom. It was suggested that they were booking about 3-4 weeks out. I said there was no rush, but would like to schedule service. We set up a tentative appointment for 6/11/2015 (one month later). It was stated they would call a few days prior to clarify what exact date would be. They took down my name, number, and type of fan. 6/11/15 came and went....never heard another word. Disappointing because this vendor is in my home town, and I definitely like to do business with local trade professionals. Perhaps there was a reason for the lack of communication. Always willing to give the benefit of the doubt, but now have to start over contacting a new contractor. UPDATE-6/23/2015---JTN (John) did contact me to explain why this situation occurred. He was courteous, paid a visit to our house, and provided two quotes for the work to be done. As it turns out, we are waiting a while to decide which level of service we want to go with. However JTN fulfilled their side of the service and things ended well.

While there were a couple of bumps in the job due to misunderstandings and/or miscommunications, what matters is how everything was handled and the end result. The breaker panel was first wall-mounted rather then recessed, as expected. I spoke with the owner, John, and he agreed that the reason we had chosen that particular location was to provide the option to recess it. He immediately agreed to re-do the work. This was a lot of time and work, yet both he and the crew were professionals and took it in stride. I was not able to fully explain the wiring set-up needed for the well water tank, which also resulted in some re-work after discussions between John and the plumber. In summary, I was very satisfied with the end result and just as important, the customer service level. Things do not always go perfectly but how they are handled can make all the difference. Because I felt some of the miscommunication was shared equally, and due to the additional 1/2 day's work needed, I did not request the Angie's discount offered. Those guys earned it, due to both the actual re-work and the frustration I'm sure they felt but were professional enough not to show it.

I called after reading several positive reviews from the list about upgrading our house's box from 100 amp service to 200. John was quick to respond to my husband's call and came to the house to review our current situation. It turned out we did not need to upgrade to 200 amp, just make some updates to our existing box. I'm so glad we choose to work with John, this saved us quite a bit of money! We scheduled our service for a week or so later and the team was in and out of the house in less than the estimated amount of time. We appreciated their speed as it was a freezing cold day and both my husband and I were home with our 8 week old son. The only reason I gave a B mark for punctuality was because the team was about 20 minutes late in arriving, but they called to tell us ahead of time and it was not a big deal to us since we planned to be home for the day. Overall, I would highly recommend to anyone looking for an electrician and I know we will use him again for any future services.

JTN Electrical did excellent job and provided us with a very low cost way to upgrade the power to our Oil Burner and allowed us to connect our generator incase we lose power. I would highly recommend JTN for their fair price and excellent service to the customer.

It went good. They were in and out within 3 or 4 hours. The two guys fixed it and were efficient.

Took a LONG time to hear back and then to schedule service. When the worker came he gave an invoice that was not itemized and we asked for one. This apparently made him angry because he returned with an estimate that was way higher. We had to call him and calll Angie's list for resolution help before we could move forward. Overall, very unprofessional

JTN lived up to its excellent reputation. A former tenant had left the barn without working lights. Not only did the electrical wiring need updating, but the tenant botched repairs he undertook himself rather than notifying us of the problem. John Nadeau proved both responsive and responsible. He contacted me right away and appeared quickly thereafter. When he had to cancel a follow up visit to finish the job for two legitimate emergencies (one of them entailed restoring the electricity for he town's annual fall fair the night before it opened), he immediately called and rescheduled. Having little experience with electricians, I cannot make any comparison on the price. He spent two partial days at the barn, upgrading the wiring and installing two new lighting fixtures and some new cover plates/switches.

Professional, punctual and did a great job. Initial appointment was made quickly but a family emergency forced me to change. Very accomodating, scheduled a new date/time that met my needs and was open to changing again if I needed it. Responsive to communication and did a nice job. Thanks!

JTN Electrical never showed up, never called, never provided any service or estimate. Never charged me either. A total nul.

The job went very well. The electrician arrived on time and went right to work once I showed him the two jobs I wanted to have completed. He was very professional, courteous and efficient.

Things went well, and in accordance with what I expected.

I had purchased the Big Deal as I had a handful of small electrical jobs that I needed done, i.e. updating an outlet, adding another, hooking up a light. It worked out great, all done withing the 2 hour time frame and the electrician did a great job.

Turned out we were outside of their service area and the cost of traveling to my home was prohibitive. Angie's List bug that I could still buy the offered coupon. We were reimbursed promptly.

.The Winter following the Halloween snowstorm I purchased online a transfer switch and small generator. Parts were scarce when I ordered and I did not get my delivery until January. I needed someone to hook it all up. I found JTN Electrical was running a special on Angie's List. The reviews looked good so I decided to give them a try. JTN gave me an estimate a little over $300. They came in on budget for labor and materials. Connected the circuits I needed to the transfer box and mount the outdoor plug. JTN had to provide and run about 60 feet of electrical cable between the transfer box and the outdoor power plug. I unpacked the generator and discovered the unit had severe damage. Going back and forth with the generator shipper I finally got the parts I needed under warranty and had a local small engine specialist complete the repairs. I missed when I bought the generator that the cable was 3 prong and not 4 prong. JTN Electrical quoted me $185 for material and labor to fabricate a cable to adapt my three prong generator to work on a 4 prong transfer switch. We completed the job about a week after I notified JTN Electrical that the generator was now working and I needed an adapter cable and also to prove out the system. JTN Electrical receives my highest rating. I would definitely use them again and recommend JTN Electrical with the highest confidence.

Very good experience with them. Their service levels were great as well as the product they supplied. I was very pleased with their workmanship, the response time for installation, thier staff and the quality and depth of their installation.

They arrived on time, had the necessary tools and parts, and fixed things beyond my expectations!

My husband called JTN's owner John to have a electrical panel installed for our generator. John called back within a day. Made an appointment, gave an estimate. Within a week the panel and outside plug were installed. We are set now for any storm, hurricane, snow storm or ice storm.

We purchased two angieslist coupons and John was an excellent electrician and did the work perfectly with time to spare. I would advise anyone to be sure to discuss in advance: appx time, exact costs and any extra charges like travel time, etc although we were able to discuss these matters after the fact, which is not ideal. Ultimately John Sr was accommodating. BOTTOMLINE: We are satisfied with the work done and would not hesitate to recommend them.

Showed up on time; very professional; but I had some small under cabinet lights installed and I thought it was expensive and took several hours to complete.

These guys were great. I called to make an appointment, and they came within a few days. They did all the work with two men in one hour. They were friendly and professional, and they cleaned up after themselves. I would definitely call them again

The experience has been excellent. John came and looked at the job, sent a quote in a timely manner with everything I requested. I was able to narrow down exactly what I needed done now and he has sent two great guys (Pat and Kevin) to do the work. They have been neat and clean, covered all the surfaces for protection, vacuumed and cleaned up neatly at the end of the day. They will be back in a few weeks once I have the new celing installed by a carpenter. They asked for my input on placement of lights and offered helpful advice when I was looking for insight. They work very hard and I look forward to using JTN Electric again.

John, the owner, arrived at the appointed time for the initial inspection of work to be done. Based on research I had done, I felt the estimate was quite reasonable. On the day that the work was to be done, there was a snow storm and apparently one of his crew had trouble making it in at the appointed time. I had to call John when they had not arrived an hour and a half after the scheduled time; I felt he should have called me to say they were going to be late (my only complaint). The work was done quickly and efficiently. I'm highly satisfied with the quality of work and would definitely use JTN Electrical again if needed.
