I knew that moving during the pandemic would be a challenge, but everything about the way this company handled my interstate move was a nightmare. The moving truck showed up several hours later than they said they would; the crew members were gruff and rude, and instead of wrapping my upholstered furniture in plastic, they wrapped everything in soiled moving blankets that left my sofa and chairs filthy. Worst of all, I just discovered (8 months after the move) that a marble tabletop that has been in my family for generations, and which I had the crew put in my basement for storage, was delivered in two pieces, and then covered up with bins of throw pillows so I couldn't see at the time that it was broken. I am furious that they destroyed this heirloom, and angry at myself for hiring this terrible company.

Everything about this experience was exceptional, beginning with Laura C, the customer representative who was with us from begining to end,\; to Bill, the moving specialst who came out for the home assessment; to the warehouse where they give you packing materials (we also had some delivered). They were always very responsive, very friendly and informative, very patient, very good rates, flexible and accommodating. Our move occurred over the 2 coldest days of the year. Load up was 8 am-5pm with the stop, an incredible feat for such volume and over 500 items. The crew was PHENOMENAL both loading and unloading; they literally worked non stop under grueling conditions, took great care with the items, were very considerate and responsive. Ask to have Al as the crew chief. They are 100+ year-old company and an agent for United Van Lines. they do more than residential moves and I'm sure they probably excel at that too!
Description of Work: 2 day residential move of 14K lbs from Milford, Ct to Belvidere, NJ approximately 135 miles. Provided materials, made extra stop at storage facility on BPR in Milford to pick up items.

They were thorough and professional. Everything was well packed and the guy that ran the crew and packed my belongings into the truck actually remained on the job throughout the entire move, which I appreciated.
Description of Work: Hired them for a long distance move.

Provider would not accept the job because it was too small (two bedroom apartment). Cannot say anything bad about provider since they preferred not to do the job. So an overall grade of F is unfair. Instead it should be incomplete.
Description of Work: Provider said that a two bedroom apt was too small for them to consider.
