Water's Edge Pools Inc

Our experience with Water's Edge Pools was quite simply, terrible. The quality of their work was poor in virtually every aspect of the job, which in turn caused problems for others working on the project. They were wholly unresponsive to almost any request, inconsistent as to when they would even show up to work on the project, and we viewed their approach to customer satisfaction to be appalling. We signed a contract on August 6, 2012, with an expected completion date of October 15, 2102. Almost nine months later the project is still incomplete. Attention to detail was particularly absent - despite our requests, the pool mechanicals (and concrete pad) were placed almost directly on a very mature, beautiful maple tree. The sloppy installation also resulted in the workers cutting the roots of the tree. Consequently, the tree is severely damaged, and will likely die (according to an arborist), and we need to reposition the entire mechanical pad. The pool finish (floor and sides of the pool) was not the color or finish that was specified, and Water's Edge personnel power washed the finish such that the protective surface was worn away. Therefore, the pool floor has many imperfections, and is very uncomfortable to walk on. The contract, provided by Water's Edge, stated that they would place steel plates on our driveway, to prevent damage from heavy equipment. Steel plates weren't used, but rather plywood sheets were used, damaging the driveway. An interim invoice, which we have paid, included a $3,500 charge for steel plates. These issues are among many we have encountered over the course of the project. While the above examples, in our view, demonstrate deficient work, our biggest issue is that Water's Edge will not complete their work. We have had to request numerous meetings with Water's Edge, starting months ago, in an attempt to have the pool available for summer. Many elements of the project are waiting on the completion of Water's Edge responsibilities. We eventually had two meetings in which Water's Edge personnel attended, and demonstrated a complete lack of consideration for others at the meeting. Their personnel, which in one meeting included the owner, did not write down, or document their tasks or requirements. Their response was that "it's in my head". Water's Edge has not performed work on the project for nearly six weeks. As a consequence, we have a yard full of debris, a significant investment in a partially completed project, and an extraordinarily high level of frustration. At this point, our only recourse appears to be to find someone else to finish their work. We are keenly disappointed with the entire experience with Water's Edge Pools.

They started with the pool in October but because of change in weather they have to finish the work. Their work is fine and it looks pretty good. They are not very good with punctuality and little slow to get out here.
