Tony Lazo Construction LLC

I have used Tony Lazo and his team on multiple projects now and I am not using the term lightly when I say that he is a ?master carpenter/builder? who has delivered a higher quality of work than any contractors I have worked with over the past 20 years. The latest projects involved a number of different aspects of work: ?Re-doing the siding and flashing and re-doing the deck to repair and prevent ice-dam damage. This was a complex job. Part of the deck had to be ?dropped down a few feet; new pillars had to be put in place; he had to preserve the deck by cutting a 6 inch perimeter from the house and putting in supports to put in a new horizontal after new flashing. ?A much bigger job was building out an entire porch area in front of a doorway to my home with pillars, blue-stone flooring on top of new foundation; and, new roofing. The quality of his work cannot be overstated. It is absolutely beautiful (and even the building inspector commented on the quality of build). Both of these projects were done in the past 6 months. A year ago, he knocked out sections of a lower level wall and put in windows ? putting in the necessary extra supports as it was a load-bearing wall and doing custom work to make the windows look level even though the floor and ceiling was not. The custom work around the trim was excellent as well. His interior work and framing and the strength and extra reinforcing he routinely does in the work that cannot be seen once finished is beyond what most would do. Finally, a word about his integrity and work ethic: He works very hard and long hours and is very neat and courteous. He was extremely concerned that I was happy with the end-product. Anyone is welcome to speak with me personally about him and even to come and see his work.

Tony Lazo Construction LLC did a fantastic job with a remodeling project on my apartment last month. Tony is very competent and skilled in his field and craft. He was punctual, and always observant of the building rules with regard to when repair work could be done. He was also always attentive to cleanliness and noise control so as not to disrupt other residents of the building. I appreciated all of these qualities, but mostly his flexibility with the changing nature of my projects once it was determined that the kitchen needed much more work than I was originally anticipating! His price was also fair and amenable to my budget. I would definitely recommend them and especially for kitchen projects!

After I called for an estimate, provider arrived at designated time 2 days later, on a Friday. He agreed to contact me the following Tues. to tell me the date he would do the job, saying that it would be finished by Friday of that week. He did not call Tues. so I called him on Wed. He said that he had problems with a roof and would not be able to do the job until the following Mon. He said he would arrive at 8:30-9:00 am. The morning of the job he called to say he would be late after stopping for materials, finally arriving about 10:45-11:00. He completed the job that day after staying rather late. Very clean, "like new" job.

Tony did a really nice job, and we couldn't be happier with the new deck. Furthermore, he arrived on time, was very flexible in terms of scheduling, and did quality work for a competitive price even when he found that the old deck's wood had completely rotted.
