Description of Work: I had an emergency leak in my garage. I called the emergency weekend number and Frank called me right back. He had me email him photos and a short video of the issue. He was able to tell me over the phone how to stop the leak. They didn't even need to come out this time. I was so grateful as water had been gushing in to my garage. I have used Russo Plumbing before and I can say that after this, they are the only ones I will use going forward. I often recommend them and the people I send to them have been very happy with their work.

Description of Work: Called Russo about an antique (1920's) toilet that another plumber tried unsuccessfully to fix. The young man opened the tank and instantly said that the "tank ball was too small". He was in & out in half an hour and the toilet now works perfectly.

Description of Work: drain pump for laundry room wasn't working. They said it was the check valve and replaced it. Stated that freezing pipe wasn't the cause however, now after several weeks of very cold weather, the same problem has been happening. So I don't think it was the check valve at all, just simple freezing. but he did reconnect the pipes in/out of the pump in a very professional manner. Seems a bit expensive but I'm new to Norwalk. They fixed something that wasn't the root cause. I may use again as I need/want a company I can rely on and trust, we'll see.

Description of Work: Garbage disposal did not work and the sink continued to be clogged. Russo Plumbing provided a simple solution that required no service.

+ -1 moreI called Russo Plumbing this morning at 7:30am to ask them to go to my in-laws' house and look at their heating equipment. The gas company had turned off their gas and refused to turn it back on until they had new equipment installed so here we are in the middle of winter and my in-laws have no heat. Russo had someone at my in-laws' house by 8:15am and on the phone with me with an assessment of the situation by 8:45am. They don't even work on the type of equipment involved (forced air heat instead of hot water heat) but they responded very quickly to my request for advice and to evaluate the situation we were dealing with. I trust them and I would recommend them to anyone.
Description of Work: Emergency call to evaluate furnace & water heater situation where gas company had turned off the gas due to carbon monoxide levels.

+ -1 moreI was very happy to get the toilet and faucet both fixed. I can finally sleep at night - no dripping. The Russo office manager was great because she got someone re-routed to me who had a cancellation on a day I unexpectedly was home so I didn't have to wait another week or two. It was later in the day but he launched into the faucet repair after fixing the toilet even though it took a trip for parts and required getting off a rusted handle. The price seems a little high but I have zero experience to compare it to and I wanted a real plumber to do the job right - which is what I got.
Description of Work: My toilet flapper system needed replacement as it was leaking too badly to use the toilet. He put in a new floater system that doesn't leak at all and works every time. Then I asked if he could help with a leaky faucet in the same bathroom, which turned out to be a more difficult job due to the age and rustiness of the fixture but he went and got the necessary parts and fixed it.

+ -1 moreVery well. They came out to give me estimate on a few small things I needed. They charge $75 to come out and give estimate. The tech determined he was not able to do some of the work due to the way the house was built, but did did minor repair to boiler and showed us how some of our plumbing worked and were turn-off valves where. Very fair.

+ -1 moreWe found the cracked pipe during our home inspection and the inspector estimated that it would be a sub-$500 repair. We were shocked when the first estimate we received (from another plumber) was for over $2,000. We called Russo and they were prompt in getting over to the house for the estimate and were quick with the repair. They were within their budget and did an excellent job. The only concern I had was that it took them a while to get back to me to schedule the repair - a very minor issue. Otherwise, I had no complaints at all. I would definitely recommend them.
Description of Work: Replaced an elbow joint in our main sewer line.

Description of Work: We went for them because previous owners of the house recommended. I think they are a bit pricey. Also beware they charge $75 to come and see the problem and give estimate. This is waived if you decide to go with them.

+ 0 moreMy water heater shutdown because I had a clog in the fuel line. Russo scheduled a visit, arrived on time and fixed the situation. Even went as far as to explain how to resolve the issue in the future myself. Also discussed and gave me ideas about other issues we were having with plumbing. Pleasant, clean and on time. Price was very reasonable.
Description of Work: Cleaned fuel line, replaced valve, reset water heater and returned it to running condition.

+ -1 moreOn the phone, Frank Russo and his assistant were very good about recommending another unit and discussing the needs of the job. We agreed what was to be done on calls and they ordered the new unit on Monday afternoon and delivered it the next morning at 8:30am. Their service guys were very good, polite, neat, helpful with instructions on using the new unit. I especially liked that they charged by the hour and calculated the bill to the nearest quarter hour worked. Very fair. I saved money by doing some easy things like clearing the space where they had to work and disconnecting the water pipes and emptying the old tank. I was pleased with the quality of their work and the efficiency of doing things quickly.
Description of Work: Russo removed an existing 75 gallon hot water heater, recommended a replacement and did the installation of new heater chose a 50 g unit which better fit needs of the home. They also took away the old heater.
