Provisional Maintenance

Our chimney needed repair. Nick came out right away, and repaired some other problems he saw on the roof. Excellent work, excellent service!

I hired Nick (Public Service Maintenance) to repair my roof. Shingles had blown off in high winds. I had other people come out to give me an estimate and they gave me estimates to replace the entire roof. Nick was the only one who actually went up on the roof to check it out before he gave me his recommendation. He told me I had at least 5 more years left on this roof. He repaired the damage, he cleaned moss off the roof, he put a cap on my chimney after repairing loose bricks, new flashing, sealed the bathroom vent and even filled in gaps in my stone foundation for me. I'm very pleased with the work, efficiency, timeliness of his work but most of all I appreciate his honesty and his concern that I was presented with all options so I could make an informed decision.

Great job installing missing flashing, replacing shingles. No more water infiltration. Very accommodating with my schedule to get the work done. Would definitely work with Nick and his guys again!

They came quickly to assess the job and gave a quote that day which included some additional work that needed to be done. Once hired, they were able to start work within a couple days and completed the job very quickly. Since then, they've followed up, and will continue to over the coming weeks/months, to ensure the job is holding up. Great customer service.

Nick called me back right away and offered to drop by the same morning to assess my chimney situation. He showed up an hour later, assessed that all I needed was a quick cleaning, and offered to do the job on the spot in 30 minutes. He worked quickly, was pleasant to chat with, and explained to me everything I needed to know. Overall he was super polite, efficient, and just a nice guy. Will definitely hire again.

Nick was tremendous. I contacted him on a Sunday & even though he was out shopping with family, he contacted me back within minutes. He came a long way to my house the very next day and after discussing my options, he performed the necessary repairs on the spot. Nick went out of his way to make sure he completed the job to my satisfaction. He explained how he was going to do all parts of the job (repair chimney cap, install the stainless steel cover, repair seals and flashing, and clean out/repair the rain gutters). He did an outstanding job. I will pass his contact info to friends if they need his service.

Nick, the owner of Public Service Maintenance, came out to inspect the work I was requesting to have done. He was very thorough and fully explained everything along the way. Previously I had two other contractors out to do other work and they had given me estimates that added up to thousands. These included chimney relining, roof work as well as chimney repairs. Nick through his inspections shared that much of the work that I was quoted did not need to be done and some preventive maintenance would go a long way extend the life of my roof and chimney. Nick provided a fair quote, lower than the other, and actually wound up doing more work the same price. He was always available for questions and explained everything he was doing. Nick was timely, professional, friendly, informative and honest to a fault. Nick did all the work with the help of Jimmy, one of his employees. Work performed included chimney relining and chimney cap installation. Roof cleaning and removal of moss. Chimney repointing and repairs. I cannot recommend Nick more highly.
