+ -1 moreIt was a very good experience. I called them direct and I asked when I called for something close to the Angie's list price. They gave me close to the price. They are quite thorough. They have 2 or 3 young ladies come and they work very diligently. They listen to our requests - what we put our priorities on. We do as much as we can in the budgeted time and the budget and it's worked out ok.

+ -1 moreThe cleaners were about an hour late, with no call or notice. It was fine since we moved the day before into this house, and planned to be home all day anyway. We really wanted the cleaners to focus on the kitchen and bathrooms, since we just moved into the house, and it was unoccupied for a number of months. My main issue with the cleaners is that they were not thorough. For example they missed certain cabinet interiors in the kitchen. The did not clean cabinets under the sinks in any bathrooms. Did not wipe down walls in the bathrooms. Did not clean behind the toilets in the bathroom. This was frustrating since we purchased this as a "deep-cleaning" for that reason. Since we had just moved, and were focused on doing other things while they cleaned, we did not micromanage. We only discovered this later, and therefore had to go back clean areas that they missed ourselves. Secondly one of the cleaners used a harsh cleaner on the wood cabinets which was removing the stain. They are old cabinets anyway, but it was only brought to my attention since I happened to walk into the kitchen at that moment. I then provided a much softer cleaning solution that worked fine. We provided instructions, and they did not ask any questions, so we assumed they knew what we wanted as professional cleaners. Overall a disappointing experience.

+ -1 moreWe had just bought a new house and prior to moving in - we wanted to have the house cleaned. Maria's cleaning did a great job - cleaning each room from top to bottom. They were very thorough in all rooms - particularly the bathrooms and kitchen. They even cleaned the refrigerator - removing each part of the interior, cleaning it, and then replacing. All in all, we were very happy with the service.

Apartment was a wreck and they made it spotless. I am trying to prep the apartment for selling so it was important for the job to be thorough. They also were extremely full in terms of scheduling "for angies list deal customers." I thought the ladies were very nice and did a good enough job, but was very disappointed that they didn't do the while house as advertised.

I don't want to run over. That was on the 6-hour job. They almost got everything done except the living room. I said I would take care of that. That worked out well. This time, we got an 8-hour contract so they should be able to do the entire house. I had some problems communicating with her to get things lined up. Even this last time, I had some problems. I finally got her on her cellphone and we got the date lined up. The only complaint I had was with the scheduling. The service has been good. The work was very good. They did a good job but the scheduling was the problem.

+ 0 moreI requested feedback/assurances from Johanna, that she communicated the issues with my team and team leader before they were suppose to come again, today (Saturday, 8/15/2015). I L/M on phone, as well as, follow-up emails. Totally no response. Period. I find this total lack of response to be very unprofessional. As such I guess I have to start all over again to find a new company
Description of Work: I eventually became a steady customer after initial introduction. I am a person who has been through 4 spinal fusion surgeries, so I require, and count on help to do the heavy cleaning stuff, to maintain my house. But over time, the quality of Maria's Cleaning Service began to decline. I chose to communicate with the main company if there were problems, to have them communicate with my team, so as to not create an advisarial work environment between me and the team leader. The latest event was communicated with Johanna (main company contact) throughout this past week regarding my Great Room findings. While watering plants in the Great Room, I found extensive dust & spider webs w/spiders on and in baseboards, baseboard heaters, corners, the fireplace hearth, glass & vents. It was awful. Definitely not just one week's worth. Because of the lack of leadership skills of the team leader and inadequate consistent self assessment quality control skills, its become a weekly trial of, they do barely enough to make it look like they do something, but it's all minimal surface stuff, NO details. If I "police" after them and say something, the leader will politely accommodate and do it again, significantly better. But she assumes no real leadership regarding quality control skills. But supposedly that's her job! I don't want to have to be the constant "police" of the team. It makes for a very tense relationship with the team. That's why I communicated with the company's main contact, JOHANNA.

However, there was a bit of a language barrier issue so I asked them to let me know when they were ready to clean the office where I was working but they instead left without cleaning it. They also didn't clean the refrigerator which was supposed to be included in the service.

Although the house was "broom clean" at closing there was many years of dust. They did a wonderful job cleaning it up for us. + -1 moreUsed the $199 deal advertised and they did a great job during that initial visit so I hired them bi-weekly for $120 for two cleaning ladies. First few times were great, but as others have said they began to slack in quality. I also asked them to use my own products (less harsh for babies) and they were definitely using their own chemicals when I wasn't here. Wasn't trying to trick them, but I left out my brand new un-opened green cleaning product and it was still un-opened when I got home. They once used Pledge on my wood floors, my toddler slipped and got hurt. I didn't realize I would have to tell them Pledge is not for floors. :( The time they spent at my house became less and less until it was around 2 hours and areas were not cleaned thoroughly. They also began coming around 20 mins late on a regular basis. I parted ways after about 6 months. I gave an average review bc they were pleasant, well priced I thought, and it started strong. If you need a one time big house cleaning, I think they would be great.
