JNR gave us an immediate reply to our initial phone call and scheduled a visit; initial repairs and follow up visit after an order and receipt of a necessary part were done fully and perfectly. It is nice to have a skilled professional not only respond promptly but do the work right, as you often get only one or the other these days..

He did a very professional job. The faucet we had purchased didn't exactly fit but he went and got another part and made it work.

They were very responsive and punctual. Everyone we met was very nice. Had some tricky issues with our 87 year old house and they were very knowledgeable. Also found out they know all about steam radiator heat systems so we'll be using them to service our system annually. Great crew and owner.

Extremely satisfied with the service. I thought I would have needed a new water heater but the technician was able to find the leak on the heating element and then repaired. I also had them perform their complimentary walk through of the home and they did point out 2 toilets which had been running slightly. The technician was able to repair both of them and actually made them operate better than before. All in all they were very professional and honest, we will definitely call them again.

Booking the appointment was great. It was not an emergency so they were able to get to me within a few days and on a day and time convenient for me. I was promised the first appointment of the day at 8am. At 9am, when no one had appeared, I called the office and was told the technician was 5 mins away. He showed up at 9:15am. After reviewing the waste line repair needed, the technician determined he did not have the necessary supplies, so he had to leave for 30 mins to get them. (I would have thought that a short section of pvc pipe and various fittings would be something he carried in the truck.) The technician was able to fix the waste line and repair the toilet by 11:15am. I paid the bill when presented even though I thought it was a bit high. After reviewing it in detail I was surprised that I was charged for 2.25 hours of labor, which means I paid for the 30 mins he was "shopping" and the 15 mins he spent in the truck, calculating the charges. This was on top of the $47 trip fee, just to come out to the house. In addition, after he left, I found out that the waste line was leaking a bit, so he had to come back. They were able to get him back about an hour later and he fixed the issue.

Since there was a $100 charge for an estimate, I asked for a ballpark price to install the boiler ahead of time. I was told $1200 plus materials. The estimate came out to over $3600, so obviously disappointed in terms of initial information. I would never have paid $100 to get an estimate of $3600 if the rep had told me that up front.

In December of 2013 we were doing a small room addition when we ran smack into a gas pipe that needed to be moved and moved quickly. We called JNR Plumbing and they were very responsive, reasonable and with excellent workmanship. Being in the septic system and outdoor plumbing business myself I have had many occasions to call and/or refer JNR Plumbing and I have always had the same excellent treatment. Good plumbers who are pleasant and responsive are hard to find. Since our first encounter I have never hesitated to engage them myself or recommend them to clients.

The system was flushed and it was determined that the problem was coming from the municipal water supply.The tenant was satisfied that the problem was not in the house due to JNR's staff's actions and explainations.
