I have a new system and Petro that installed it told me that they did a job that was not needed because with this new system you don't need to clean the lines often and since the system is brand new ....

Description of Work: They examined all three chimneys, gave us a report on each one - which included photographs and videos, and installed a new liner in the furnace chimney. Handled all permits, etc. Very professional, punctual, knowledgeable (explained everything thoroughly), competent. We were very satisfied overall.

He showed up on time, took a look at the damper, opened and closed it several times, and found nothing wrong with it. He charged me nothing. The next time I need my chimney cleaned, or need any work done on my chimney, I will definitely call James Ball. Very satisfied.

Description of Work: James Ball came to inspect my chimney after I had bad experience with another company. He gave me a good inspection and some good advice. He did not charge me for the visit and would not accept any payment. I look forward to dealing with James Ball again.

Description of Work: He came to check out a leak in our chimney; fitted us in early in the morning before other calls. He said the problem was our roof and gave a recommendation for a roofer. He explained everything clearly and did not charge us.

Description of Work: Mr. Ball came to provide an estimate as requested. He arrived on time and was very thorough evaluating my chimney in areas that I had not requested. As for the work I called to be estimated, he provided an alternate solution that did not require his services (sealing up an ash trap in the floor of my chimney) and explained that he did not do flashing work that I do need done. I appreciate his honesty and will definitely look him up again for future work as needed. He's more of a chimney sweep than mason.
