I hired Frank to do an addition that should have been finished over 2 months ago. He just left for a 1 month vacation, without plans to complete my project. I had my lawyer look him up.....He also fired all his employees except the secretary before leaving for vacation last week, owing then all 2 weeks pay and has left subcontractors in charge to carry on his business. This man also has a civil warrant out, for a court date on July 10th, which he does not plan to attend, because he will be on vacation. He also has many more judgments out against this and other businesses. I have been unable to reach him in the past 5 weeks, and now he is demanding a $10,000 payment that was already made back in April. He also has not paid any of the subcontractors that worked on my home. They are all calling and asking why I wont pay Frank so that he can pay them. Please see below a few of the mistakes that he has made so far: • Windows are the wrong size- He made us wait 2 months for windows that were not even correct. He then proceeded to install them without even consulting us • Siding is the wrong color-Upon his request, we told him that we would like the new siding to match the existing house, but again he went ahead and installed the wrong thing without consulting us • R19/R38 insulation instead of R21/R49 as listed on plans. Also no insulation was installed in crawl space as per plans • Outdoor rear stairs not covered as per plans. He also made errors with the foundation, the deck, the firewall and much more. Also for the first week of the project he was distributing the wrong set of plans to the subcontractors, which caused a considerable amount of delay. I am now forced to hire someone else to complete the project, and since I paid him most of the money already, I will have to pay for all the unfinished items again. This man is very smooth and can come up with an excuse/lie without thinking......be careful
