TLDR; avoid, untrustworthy and generally shoddy work. Bad communication. TLDR2; company's management/owner's motto when it comes to returning customer service call seems to be Warren Buffett's adage "When the phone don't ring you'll know it's me." Background. Inherited DI as the manager of my system when we bought the house three years ago. Apart from being expensive for the work performed they opened and closed the system twice with no major issues. They charge $125 for each line they have to clamp which is a ten minute job but this is Fairfield County and what should I expect. $750-1000 a year for little impact but that's fine. Let me tell you a story. It's entertaining. 1. They come to close the system - blow out the lines - in Fall 2017 at the end of the season. We talk to them though the visit. Leave a field slip and go their merry way. 2. Two weeks later get an email (followed by a letter) with an estimate of $1300 to fix the broken irrigation controller (hunter). 3. We call them and ask them how did that happen, they mention their crew when closing the system noticed it was dead. No phone call. The crew when they left told us everything was fine. Weird. 4. Take my multi meter and realize quite quickly that the power module is dead, a result of the box not being closed after service and probably rained on (we never touch the box) not a board issue. 5. Buy the $19 (with free shipping) power module, swap it whole system comes back to life. 6. We call DI to politely ask a manager "is this what we should expect from you?" "Is this kinda your normal trouble shooting MO?" Manager tells "I will look into this myself and call you right back. I'm going to get to the bottom of it". I'm a big believer that sometimes thing go wrong and manager should get a chance to rectify issues that come up. 7. Month and a half goes by 8. We get a call - from staff - "hey we will be in your area next week do you want opening service." we answer Hey any feedback on the system issue. Let me check. 9. Next get a call from a field technician, again "hey i will will be in the area tomorrow do you want to have your system opened" Best summary. If you don't need anything from your provider they will match expectations. I'm sure they will not miss us as customers.

Quick and easy. The guys are very helpful and crew interactions are well coordinated with the office.

They arrived as expected, actually even a little early. They completed the project professionally. Broken drainage was replaced at no cost. Very highly recommended

Agreed on a time that would work. Arrived out on time. Polite, straightforward communication, did work quickly. Checked for other issues in the system and pointed out missing part (rain sensor). Did not try to up sell. Very helpful. Highly recommended.

This is the second time I've used Dobson to install a system. Professional job at a good price (FWIW, there were a few cheaper "independents" on my bid list, but they were *significantly* less expensive than the other big names you see around lower Fairfield County). Would recommend.

As the first time single family owner, we do not have any idea how the system works. Mark is very professional and knowledgeable. He explained every detail of our irrigation system and even our water supply system. I am glad we had Mark came to do the service. He not only did his job, also gave us a good education on how to trouble shooting the problems. We will definitely use Dobson for any future irrigation system service.

Used Dobson to install complete irrigation system for my lawn. They gave me a quote that was reasonable compared to the others I received and included a 5 year warranty. Others were only a 3 year warranty. The job took less than a day to complete.

Dobson Lawn Irrigation was used satisfactorily by the previous owners of our house. We have used them this year to open the system in Spring and close it in the Fall. They have been very helpful in explaining how to program the system and repairing non-functioning sprinkler units. The employees we interacted with were very knowledgeable on system setup and operation.
