+ 0 moreWork Not completed per contract - Electrical Meter Removed and not returned to Central Hudson Gas and Electric as required by Central Hudson as the meter is property of Central Hudson. Correct paper work to remove meter not filled prior to doing the work as required by Central Hudson. As a result i am getting double billed for Electric by Central Hudson. Marks Lighting has not returned calls, or E-mail to discuss and rectify problem. Only option now is turn over to attorneys.

+ 0 moreMark came and provided me with an estimate for outdoor lighting and a generator installation. He was the only contractor willing to place the generator where I wanted it which entailed ripping up my front walk and digging an extensive trench. I received 4 other generator proposals no one was willing to place the generator where I wanted it. His price was very competitive when I compared it to the other proposals. He definitely wanted to install too many lights and we scaled back the project which he agreed to. The day of the proposed work his team arrived punctually and were very professional. They had to dig a 100 foot ditch which they did efficiently. They replaced my walk and filled in the trench extremely well. The work was performed professionally and in a timely manner. I would not hesitate to recommend this company.

Description of Work: Way too many lights - our home looked like Las Vegas. Somehow my husband got talked into this. In ground wire was not installed deep enough nor was it protected with pipe. My new electrician was horrified. We had to take out most of the lights a couple of years later and redo all the wiring that was left. What a nightmare.

+ 1 moreThe previous owners of my house used Lighting by Marks to do their outdoor lights. The work is horribly shoddy. Wires are exposed & sticking out of the ground. Lights are hanging by wires. There are shorts everywhere. When I bought the house I asked them to come to give me an estimate to fix it all. They came and sent me a bill for $200 just to supply the estimate. A total rip off and they were very rude. Another electrician came and told me I should disconnect the whole system because it's dangerous.
