The glass they installed has a distortion everything is lopsided when you look out of it. Also one piece was cut too short and air comes in. They were in a rush and to lazy to cut a piece the correct size. Very rude installer.. Also the glaze was put on very sloppy.. AVOID THEM!

I called Connecticut Glass to give me an estimate on my two broken shower doors. They called me right back and came the next business day. They were kind, honest and repaired my doors in a few minutes. I had called several other companies (and asked my 2 handymen!) to do the job and was stonewalled. For CT Glass it was no problem!

I do not know where to begin with my frustration and year long battle with CT Glass over faulty window installations and a bracket that broke and came smashing down shortly after they installed it (this could have seriously injured someone). We hired CT Glass in early 2015 to replace just the glass panes in almost every window of our condo. The majority of the frames were newly replaced so we just wanted cosmetic work done. CT Glass provided us with a quote to replace all window panes and replace a bracket in ONE window that was not working or staying up when we opened it. Please note: except for that ONE window ALL WINDOWS WORKED PROPERLY prior to CT glass coming and installing new panes. They opened and shut just fine. After the panes were installed we noticed shortly after (as spring began and we opened the windows) that every time we would pull the window up from the bottom to open it, that the top part of the window would slide down. Sometimes it would take a few minutes sometimes an hour but they always fell. On top of this we also began to notice with warmer weather that if the windows were not in the lock position so that the lock was propping up the top part of the window that it would slide down (even when the window was shut). We spent an entire summer pouring money into AC because if the windows were not in the "lock" position as to hold the top part up, they slide down. I have pets and cannot have them escaping 6"-12" gap to fall to their death in a 12 story drop. Also during the summer lots of flies and bugs would come in through these gaps and I would continually try to push them back up to close the gap but they would always fall. The one bracket they installed broke when we were in bed one night and heard it CRASHING down, again thankfully no one was hurt. All of this would be fine if when I contacted CT Glass they apologized, came out and looked at what needed to be fixed and fixed it. I have probably called them 20 plus times requesting the owner (Phil) to call me. And every time I called to ask why he had not called me I got "all I can do is tell Phil to call you". Well guess what, I have yet to hear from Phil. This is completely unprofessional, unacceptable and poor business to ignore a client who is calling and telling you the work you did wasn't done properly. They clearly don't value their clients or the work they do. This went on until November when at one point when I contacted them they wrote an email back trying to tell me that I didn't get brackets that were recommended and that's why this was happened!!!!! This was a complete lie and NO ONE RECOMMENDED BRACKETS in any window but the one that NEEDED A BRACKET as all windows worked properly and their was no need to install them. Why would someone has suggested them if they weren't need??!! This email solidified the horrid business practices they subscribe to and made it clear to me that they could care less to contact me. My superintendent even came to help me one day as the window in the kitchen began falling down from the top leaving at least a foot gap. He helped me prop it up with a stick and said who ever did work on these windows needed to come back as something was not done right. This is the super has been in charge of all construction and maintenance of this building for 20 years so he knows the windows well and I trust his opinion when he says something is done improperly. I am STILL waiting on a call from Phil. Phil is unwilling to speak with me and learn what is wrong instead he must just be assuming that he knows that issue is and either doesn't want to deal with it or doesn't care. Either way its very SKETCHY. why would he be avoiding me for a year if he did not think I was right and just didnt want to redo the work? If he had nothing to hide he would just contact me. I want him to come look at these windows and fix them. I am entitled to get what I paid for WITHOUT having new issues arise because of the work that was done. Avoid this company at all costs. Maybe before it's summer again they will have the decency to contact me and come and fix the windows so I can actually use them this year.
Description of Work: Replaced window panes in almost all windows in my house and in the meantime managed to ruin the previously working windows so they no longer function. They also replaced the only bracket that needed to be replaced and it brole and came crashing down shortly after it was installed. (Thankfully no one was injured).

I WAS NOT OVERLY THRILLED WITH THE INSTALLATION OF THE SHOWER DOOR, AS I DID EXPERIENCE SOME LEAKING. I THINK BECAUSE THE CAULKING WAS NOT APPLIED TO ALL AREAS. I ALSO THINK THE PRICE WAS A BIT HIGH FOR WHAT I RECEIVED AND I SHOULD HAVE SHOPPED AROUND MORE.
